The Mouse with the Hat

A great-big mouse just dashed by me
dressed in a suit and tall striped hat.
I thought I could not be more shocked,
but then here came an angry cat.

While hurtling by in hot pursuit,
he shrieked, “Hat snatcher! Dr. Seuss
made ME that hat. Now give it back.
Why this transpired, I can’t deduce!

Congrats on your witty win, Janice. I first read ‘mouse’ as ‘moose’… I must have been having a senior moment ;-)

Such a fun and creative writ dear janice, iv had some crazy incidents with mice so i really fear them. And this one really made me smile, especially “ A great-big mouse just dashed by me dressed in a suit and tall striped hat” i guess the angry cat surely did save the scene! Pleasure reading this! Sending you light always dear janice
