A battle rages
between beans and broccoli.
Sadly, no winner
emerges from this dark fog.
Perhaps I will blame the dog.
fury from the heavens
leaving destruction behind
tomorrow's blue sky
for the hurricane contest....
dry leaves curled under
nature turns brown and lifeless
earth cries out for relief

dry water resources
withered trees, crops
farmer throws hands skywards
flood passes through
as more people died...
why do vultures gather?

Now, thanks to salmonella,
we're all stuck on this ship.

the torrential rain fall
the cataclysmic wind
seeks and destroy
everything in it's path
has been ravaged
by the storm
Grass cut, mulched beds,
Spring is here
Awfully early this year.
Anyone else feeling dread
About what changes are ahead?
sea draws back a breath
shore disappears out of view
to spew forth its puke
Step out on a treeless plain,
Earth scoured with monsoon ruts.
It's not that we never learn,
Just not fast enough!
Mother Earth shivers violently, quakes;
Her fracked core splits apart and
She weeps for her children.
the mountain stream weeps
toxicology revealed
what have I become?
....for Rick's Contest
asteroids descend
lava erupts from below
flood waters sweep clean
leaving traces of its stay
for wildfires to have its way
It didn't need to grow wings, it floats on the breeze.
Or...
If you don't believe science, you might as well pray to idols.
Grandmother spider’s web of crystal silk;
Décor just for my pear trees;
Shimmering silver lights.
Flood ravages, making poor to cry and many things to float,
trapped in their homes, they can`t swim and have no boat.

By the touch of the feminine hand
By the lust from the feminine aura

The bar next door is open,
full of inebriated
thrill seekers screaming into
the wind as the rain lashes
bladed leaves into faces.
the earth splits apart
buildings topple, people run
shaken and injured
searching for family, friends -
hoping, hoping, all are well
