Danger In Whisper

Ocean whispers to ship “Come near”
The poor thing being so deaf hurries

When the hungry ocean swallows it,
even its tears refuses to be witness

Banging On the Head

Love is like the falling water from a fall
each drop seems to be rather small
but hurries on ahead
and bangs one after the other
on the lover’s head

A Poem On My Mind

Went to bed last night
A poem on my mind
  Fell fast asleep
  The day left behind

Came the morning
That poem was gone
  No sense crying
  Time hurries on

Autumn Bluster

Windy, restless day
Grey clouds dance across the sky
The persistent sun peaks through

White caps on the pond
The day hurries to an end
Pink cotton candy sunset

Bluebird of Happiness

The Bluebird of Happiness
I send to you today
He brings you all my love
As he hurries on his way

May his song fill your heart
As it was meant to be
And every time you hear it
You will think of me

Santa Visits Ukraine

Why Santa hurries to visit Ukraine?
He knows the people there are in great pain.
He feels the consequences,
Of Putin's crooked senses;
He grasps Ukraine will fix Putin again...!

Turn Her Up!

Listen to some music
Trash all of your worries
Listen to some music
Slow the mind that hurries
Listen to some music
At least deal with one's voices
Listen to some music
Make some positive choices!

Prairie Graveyard

Reckless tumbleweed
hurries across forgotten graves
of those who toiled through despair
and anguish
fighting drought and famine
depression and unemployment
heat and cold
locusts and dust storms
daily uncertainty...

Scent Of Innocence

Those rose tinted glasses, my childhood pair,
The glow of a rainbow's alluring flair.
No worries no hurries, sweet carefree glee,
Promise by pinky without guarantee.

Intense senses of blurred lenses, no pun -
Cheap keepsake - enriched me for the long run.

Crazy Cupid

Cupid
strikes
with
an
arrow,
 But
indeed
his
mind
is
so
narrow,
  That
the
victim
can
barely
feel
an
arrow.
Which
but
hit
the
barrow,
  That
he
hurries
off
and
flie's
away,
not
knowing
he's
left
the
man
to
be
dying
away....

Butterfly- Aromatic Scents of God's Love

Out the side of my eye in my propel vision I spied Amidst the summer side In the flowers A small butterfly Aloft and lifted it hurries Fluttering upside down Ravishing the air if breaths around Sucking out the nectar from the buds Aromatic scents of God's love

Special Time of Day

The sun dips behind forest trees
There is a moment to say please
Spread your rays as far as this hill
This time of day, for light to spill
Across the land, through the window
Highlighting things I want to know
It hurries with breath of wind’s sigh
I rush to watch and say goodbye

Summer Hurries By

Summer hurries by,
Through green and brown
To gold and dust, they die,
The leaves which summer had caressed
And breathed upon and gently brought
To all the stirring shades of autumn.
The seasons now embrace,
Each bids a fond farewell
As teardrops freeze
They part, warm hand in hand of ice,
And cheek to frosty cheek.

He Wears a Blue Hot Uniform

On a hot spring afternoon, a wet postman
Hurries down the sidewalk home.
I catch him stepping on a new white iris,
And were I not alone, I would but
Scold him, but I would not, instead,
I wouldst hand him a cold coke for his dripping head,
Then pat him on his shoulder and pick up a dropped letter,
On this unseasonably hot afternoon.

Death the Silent Lover

Death the silent lover
always near but far
dedicated to his work
unreliable but faithful
he waits today
but hurries tomorrow
sees, hears his lover
but lover sees him not
he waits as lover feeds
but when he comes
swallows lover wholesale

This silent listener
seeing with eyes closed
hearing with ears blocked
precarious unpredictable
he is!

Love Philosophy

Early morning twilight rain
lasting an hour

a snapping of pictures
here and there-
the moon vibrates

no wave tides
away, the watch
hurries to some times

water is cool and hot-
woo, woo, woo
a cuckoo shouts

to thes things
partial glee in bliss and butter
laughing and flourishing in joy

may be akin
to an aestethic tangential
angle of apples?.

Zephyr

ZEPHYR

She strolls out in a summer woodland glade
The leaves of fall bedeck her head to feet
She hurries through the snowy city street
Her singing in the springtime does not fade

Cool my tired shoulders at the days end
Caress my cheek with feather soft and light
Whisper tales of love all through the long night
Wake me fresh and pure, everlasting friend

My Elusive Love

A long pathway beside the sea
She looks up and she sees me
I walk towards her and she hurries away
Running hard why wont she stay

Calling out my voice is lost on the wind as it whips and stirs
I wonder at her beauty and want to reach out to her
But she is away in the distance now I know
And my heart pounds as I realise I wont have her now.

Endangered Species

Girl in red, a dress
Pleated down to her knees, skips
                 Down the lonely street.

                 Man in black beret
                 Sunshades set on face, striding
                 Down the narrow street.

                 Girl turns, sees this chap
Hurries her steps, man does so too
                 Girl runs, man runs too.

Rhythm of the Rain

While lying in my bed, I leisurely listen
To the gentle rhythm of the rain on the roof.
As I notice raindrops on the windows glisten,
My eyelids hang heavy, I become more aloof.

Now safe and warm at the end of my day’s hurries,
Therapeutic drizzle helps wash away my pain.
Like a caring, comforting friend soothes my worries,
I turn once again to the rhythm of the rain.

Here We Are, Halfway through November

Here we are, halfway through November
What happened to July, August and September

Looking forward to the ‘big three holidays’
Who remembers July 4th’s barbecue blaze

    Sweltering summer long forgotten
Cool days of Autumn now begotten

Time never pauses; it simply hurries on
Look back too long ~ the future’s come and gone

Winter Weather

Winter winds seem angry this morning...
Pulling at the branches, teasing the last leaves
My song is quickly swept away, my voice scatters
The last of the brown meadow grass dances...

The weather is changeable this time of year....
Pink tinged skies quickly spread across the horizon
My step hurries home, I pull my coat closer
Wanting to rest by the fire, and listen to winter.

Modernity

Living by the clock of
cells calling with a
message of goodwill or,
"Please pay your bill."
her veneer is peeling away
in the face of time;
behind the mask it
appears wrinkled by the tale.

No allergy to make-up
marring the paint job
although, a retouch
might carve a legend.
Rushamora, with her three
faces of tripolar resistance
hurries to pet the cat
when nerves come to play.
