Here We Are, Halfway through November

Here we are, halfway through November What happened to July, August and September Looking forward to the ‘big three holidays’ Who remembers July 4th’s barbecue blaze Sweltering summer long forgotten Cool days of Autumn now begotten Time never pauses; it simply hurries on Look back too long ~ the future’s come and gone

Dear Gershon, your poem brims with insightful brevity. Your final couplet bears the bare truth beautifully. Warmest wishes my poet friend.. ~Susan

It seems the older one gets the faster time seems to fly. Have a lovely evening Gershon.

Where does the time go Gershon? A thousand years is like a day to our Lord. time doesn't stand still we are experiencing that. Thanks for sharing and you reminded me to get that turkey at 88 cents a pound. Thanks giving is almost here... Boy does time fly... lol

Yes. And adventure in every season. Yet, November tires me. Your poem is very descriptive of November.

Me, too, Hilda... November is a shock to the system, esp. with that awful time change! Seems as if the day is over before it even gets started! ~ Here's to sunshine and flowers, Gershon
