My Elusive Love

A long pathway beside the sea She looks up and she sees me I walk towards her and she hurries away Running hard why wont she stay Calling out my voice is lost on the wind as it whips and stirs I wonder at her beauty and want to reach out to her But she is away in the distance now I know And my heart pounds as I realise I wont have her now. © Paul Warren Poetry
