The Dark Lampshade
The dimness of the light
Gave the room a spookiness
Dimmed by a lampshade
Made of tortured skin
Tattooed numbers tell the untold story...

Dimness
Dimness
Draped in random spurts
Of light and radiance
While your face goes
In and out of my sight
And your words go
In and out of my heart...

Tanka Two
Tanka

It is cold outside
Yet almond trees bear flowers
Sun and rapid rain
Winter and spring dance tango
A green leaved oak applauds

Tanka
A charming princeling
Fight battles in a lost war
Pleased by his dimness
The tabloids are triumphant
He has made war glamorous...

Tossing Around In the Wind
i feel lost
in the dimness
of this day

my thoughts
stirring in this wind
ascending
then descending
in a spiral
of emotions
scattered
like these leaves
painting the ground
in drifts of red
i never cared for that color
nor this autumn air
i feel lost
within its grasp...

Haunting Hues
The walls felt like it was caving in,
The coldness of the room gave me shivers,
The dimness of the room that once comforted me
Now leaves me distraught.
Stepping in, I felt a surge of anxiety;
The bad memories that I had once suppressed resurfaced.
And it felt like I was going back
To those days I've tried to forget....

We know not of graves nor dimness of light of senses.
Lo' there we prepare these shores undiminished in
Dusk of night.

And they cometh all fRom the greatest distance.

Refined on blazes
of judgments
haphazard
yesterday's zest
is a fortress
of embers

memorials burn
surrendering souls
into the fumes
plaguing your
emotions the
cinders awoke

allow the zeal
of the darkness
nudge you
to view
the yesteryear is near
a dimness &
not what
will last

The darkness ends
gives way to the dimness that descends,
the moor land mist mingles on ceremony
a subdued veil strokes the trees.
Dewy webs glisten
in reams of silver thread,
while rushing waters flee
over rocky beds.
Shadows appear from out of the gloom
the queue just gets longer,
Number 76 to my destination
is running late (Again)!

Sky Face
I so revel upon the substance of sky
Lift my look for thy sight
Over our heads sparkling bright
It is force and quiet by
With blurred echoes cry
Has shimmering beams high
Sparkle splendidly in the night
A shining daylight
To enlighten the dimness eye
I need to contact the sky
Reach for a star
Yell to the moon far off
How wonderful you are...

Divine
Awakening, cocooning
The air with tenderness, breathing,
As it waters arid grounds, speaking,
As it drenches the air with harmonious sounds, it makes
One succumb the soul,
It makes one
Thank God…

Nature’s divinity, as
It enraptures me, liberating
My soul from earth’s dimness and
Opaqueness…

In its arms I am, and
Within its embrace I’ll eternally be…...

A warped perception created by the insecurities of society. Not motivated by nature or intuition, but of layering. Years of negativity, discouragement and unawareness adding grit to the already hazy lens. Deep into suffering, but the end; in no sight. Let the end be dimness, and the light be the start. The viciousness of a cycle; the circle uniting nature and man. I, who speaks, but a gesture from divine....

I See Beyond
I see beyond the dimness Of the distant hazy past, Into the book of knowledge, And I'm homeward bound at last. I see beyond myself, Into your loving ways, I see beyond so many things I didn't yesterday. I see beyond the anger, I see beyond the pain, I see beyond my waywardness, I see beyond the gain. I see beyond tomorrow, I see beyond today, I see beyond humanity, I see beyond the grave.

Lamplight
As daylight ends and darkness falls
a wick is lit on table or wall
Touched by match, soot does rise
as comes to life the dancing prize
Lamp oil rendered from beast of sea
now burns slowly, the aroma sweet
Prompted by pulsing yellow flame,
the globe shines bright, dimness wanes
Light to read and write is shed,
the lamp will glow till forced to ebb
Growing to weary to move about,
a rapid breath, and poof, its out...

Dusk
In my
Sweet garden
It calls my heart
Come touch the flowers
Come touch the fading dusk
The dimness makes for beauty
I come, I want to touch the dusk
Yes dear, see the divine frail petals
In the morning we could be gone from you

Scraping the Dimness
Like a prune, it was
an old year, standing
before me. You start
counting the wrinkles.

In shift, you become
the problem, cannot read
the jigsaw. It had
uprooted the faith.

I was terribley upset, the
birds had not returned
to the lake this winter; what
do I do, I was talking to moon.

A new misty morning. I take a
small foot, set myself in the
god’s hour and start
planting the bulbs of tulips.

A Toddler In My Arms
When I sang your favorite song,
Your faint smile said, “I want to go home now”
I told you it won't be long,
Then I sang again to assure you somehow.
Dimness in you eyes.the harried doctor
Trying to cast away his doubt.
Unreal, hazy, a dreamlike stupor,
To find myself I had to shout
When I sang your favorite song
You slept, I knew you were home now
I hugged you tight, and for so long
I kept humming, kissed you on the brow.

Music… Liquor…
Make you happy…
I can see in your eyes
Laughing in the alcohol foulness
Enjoying in the dimness

You can enjoy only in darkness
Cannot face the daylight
To cover up
A fresh scar on your forehead
That happened while you were working
With your former fellow labors.

Music… Liquor…
Make you happy…
In your new high society
Believing is the true happiness
But you have to hide out the daylight:
The real wisdom!...

I amble windswept in murky dimness, Lost in its briny cool breeze Imagine, I, a seabird in flight Over passionate heartbeat Breadth cerulean sea. Pulled down from heaven to Laud its mysterious labyrinth Unimaginable fathoms depth. It's soul never calm a constant reach To embrace the breast of ever grain of sand. Ravished from her breast Liquescent sunset dissolving Into blue horizon inviting twilight. 1/27/2020

Winter
Winter

Grey and more grey
Dimness covers everything
Cold wet quietness
In the middle of winter

Staring out a window
Framed by old memories
Lowly lighted roominess
Winter slowly ebbing

Iridescent monitor
Becomes my companion
Coolness down to the bone
Weather will not let go

In my little space
Sitting on my bed
Together with my thoughts
I realize it is April

Red budding blooms
Peak their way out
From the grey stillness
So very far away...
