Hidden Thoughts
Hidden from sight,
       secrets of the mind,
For good thoughts...I delight
    to see;but it`s covered,
         Anxiety falls on
   me,which brings fright.

Premium Member If This Was My Last Contest Poem
If this was my last contest poem, I’ve no idea what I’d write about. My mind is vacant. Memories are fading in a world which wants to shut old ways out. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll die! Then my last poem this would be! July 18, 2020 for Contest of Silent One

My Wife
I married a woman of five foot six
A country twang from back in the sticks
As sweet as sugar and yummy as pie
She's the delicious apple of my eye
She makes me dance and makes me sing
She's got to be the sweetest thing

A Valentine Poem
(fiction.contest poem)
Love is blind
And undenying
Nervousness uprising
Trying to make this romance satisfying
Candle light dinner in display
Flowers and champagne or wine
Which you prefer
Music play our favorite song
Our eyes met and now I'm in sweat.
For it's Valentine and we only do this once a year....

Driving through the Serengeti plains
twilight started to fall over the land
Then in the blink of an eye night falls
no slow fading of light just darkness

The full moon comes out and reveals
the sky awash with rainbows of colour
all left behind by the glowing setting sun
bathing all of the plains with technicolour

The Story of Rain
Tyler Jones
Rain the Story Contest Poem

I see Rain from time to time.
With pain in her eyes she can't leave behind.
She knows this world is a preamble to the next.
She's someone divine in a world full of rejects.
Her visions of tomorrow fulfill her very soul.
Knowing the next world won't be so cold.
When parting from Rain I'm always filled with sorrow
Knowing her new world could come tomorrow....

What's a poem?
In my home,
Rhyme is for the folks in Rome,

If I should,
Call it good,
Happy goes the neighborhood,

I suppose,
Poets close,
In a warm and wistful pose,

On the way,
I would say,
One last poem to win the day,

On the theme,
When you dream,
Don't forget a little steam.

''Death Has a Plan''
~The fade of your flesh.
~To never again caress.
~I mourn our intangible fate.
~Curse this inimical wait.
~Gasp, comes a glimpse of heavens' door.
~Entangled fingertips,they touch nevermore.
~Provocation brought truth to the whispering raven.
~Sending only a sign of your unforeseen haven.

Premium Member The Sun Will Shine Brighter
The sun will shine brighter tomorrow when
with heart, not eyes mankind begins to see
through all of life's deceit and only then
will all attain what they can truly be.
The eyes need light, the heart can see through dark,
ignores hate and reflects love in return,
and thus illuminates our dim hope's spark
then brightly for eternity it burns.

Mix things up
Strike them down
Create a thing
See what's found
A darkened sky
Some new creation
To save the world
Evil cessation
Not five but four
One more than three
Take note please
Hear my plea
Super heroes
Fall and rise
Walk among us
In disguise
We should worship
Perhaps it's true
But I shy away
Speed off in canoe
Always dodging
Being comic entranced
So for contest poem writing
Take a bit of a chance
