and much to my dismay

Man of Belize

Man of Belize

While speaking to a Man of Belize,
He admitted a penchant for Blue Cheese.
I said no its smelly,
It upsets my belly,
Don’t offer me Blue, if you please.

I only got a Blue Cheese
and I need a burger bad
said he’d only take Dixie
or a Jackson at a push
now I’m beggin’ on my knees
but don’t wanna make him mad
I’m in a foodie fixie
but he said “go kiss my tush”

Blue Cheese for me toe curling,

               The silkiest yummiest treat;

               Bamboo Shoots send me hurling,

               Their wafting the stinkiest feet!

Premium Member Dill Pickle Hated Blue Cheese

Dill pickle hated him so
Because he stank badly
Dill pickle screamed just go
Blue cheese wept thus sadly
When I leave the fridg, bro
I'll stink ever much mo
Dill pickle grew older
Fermenting like a bozo
Then opening his holder
A stink scent deathblow

Blue cheese and old pickles as every one knows
Create quite a stink, unlike the rose
But taste so delicious, way above par
The stinkier the cheeses the better they are
Spread on a cracker with a pickle in brine
To enjoy with a friend and a glass of good wine

Aging

Sour grapes,
Ancient clunker,
Moldy Gorgonzola,
Scarred garage sale table.

Fine wine,
Vintage car,
Rich blue cheese,
Polished antique furniture.

Time passes for all things.
Whether treasure or trash,
Depends upon the attitude.
Life is no different.

I fought the good fight, yet still I lost
and you stood in brackish silence
with bitter reward in briny eyes
proffering spiny frowns
shoulders crumbled with aging ache
and brow dimpled with sour failure
I staggered dragging the last crumbs
through the madness of a blue funk

Premium Member Blue Cheese and Old Pickles

Blue cheese and old pickles -
yukkety yuk.
Take them away from my face.

Blue cheese is so stinky.
Also its taste
even with wine I can’t chase.

If the pickles are dill,
I do not care
if they are new ones or old.

I take pickles sweet or
not one at all.
Dill is no better than mold!

     I do love blue cheese,
     It's tasty and delicious,
      but don't take at ease.
      Really I'm health conscious.
But off and on I relish.

      I'm fond of pickles
but as I am health conscious,
       I won't take old ones.
        I cannot take any risk,
        surely decide to avoid.

Something old, something blue,
Aged not old, a odd pairing,
which unfits the mold.
Taste acquiring,
pungent smell,
putrid looks,
uninspiring.
It is the dare that begs one to love it.
One good sense of five ain't too bad,
When you hold your nose,
close your eyes
and taste it,
breathlessly,
senselessly,
there's the rub.

Premium Member Used To Touch My Toes

Used to touch my toes
Kick my legs in the air
Do exercises in droves
Like I did not care

Now I’m full of donuts
Potato chips and blue cheese.
My ankles are all puffy
I can no longer see my knees

Have not been swimming since ’98.
Weigh now more than a boxer’s weight.
I waddle to my well-deserved fate
Have no one else to lambast or hate.

New Resolutions

I shall tread 2011 with champagne in my veins and pink fluff in my brain
I will eat blue cheese and think of it as the moon
I will smell green growings and see only yellow daisies standing tall
I shall touch orange petals and know that they are gold
I shall hear birdsong and think that it is blue
I will try to make life magic - rainbow sparkles in my hair.

blue cheese, old pickles
golden girls fickle
like falling nickles
drop, spin, switching sides
heads and tails collide
craving connections
tangy affections
gourmet selections

these eyes fixed you right
put you in starlight
adjusting my sight
altering flavors
new bees to savor
selfishness favors
blue cheeses denied
cornbread and grits, Hi!

Don’t ask me again how long.
A good joint could last awhile.
That blue cheese smell gave gags,
  the price for sky-high smiles.

Don’t ask me again how many.
Really, who remembers them all?
Some were fun and young,
  others old and small.

We all had a shelf life.
No more swinging from the tree.
A grocery bag of memories
of that wilder side of me.

Confetti

Wretched thrives going at rapid speeds
Spreading lines like ill manic seeds
Fanatic flowers attacking whack salad weeds
Hoeing each line with a cocaine breeze

I sneeze and tease these cursive lines with ease
Herbs dipped in asinine with the blue cheese
Cheddar mixed with ketamine, fed my epiphany if any.
Thoughts ready to go steady. Aim fire bang goes the confetti.

Anchovy that stinky small fish
Don't place it on my salad plate
Don't serve it on my pizza dish
As appetizers it won't sate

The odor clings to the lettuce leaves
It ruins each pizza slice touched
Don't serve me anchovies, it grieves
all my senses when they are smutched

Smutched means when something is smudged..
Rispetto is form but it is a rhyming form.

Condiment Infidelity

Yellow Mustard joined Olive Oil
At the motel, Blue Cheese Lagoon
Afraid he was much too anxious
Because she said he came to soon!

But he then knew what was ado
His cousin Dijon was more quick
Yellow Mustard was disappointed
Unaware Olive Oil was so slick

But the other condiments knew
They didn't need a measuring cup
They said it was in front of you
Come on Yellow Mustard Catch up!

My Blue Cheese Is Fish

Greasy fish, swimming in oil,
Helplessly lying on my plate.
It makes my taste buds boil and toil,
I guarantee, it’s less than great.
It’s shapeless, floppy, and limp like worms,
It smells like a pile of waste.
And I can’t even find the accurate terms,
To describe the taste.
Colorless and soggy,
With hazardous bones that you can’t see,
It makes my vision foggy,
It’s not the food for me.

BLOOD PUDDING ANYONE ?

Unlike chicken à la king
of which I am quite fond
the mere thought of blood pudding
churns my stomach twice beyond

Indeed blood pudding
is my nasty evil nemesis
I am far from kidding
in fact I've made it the premise of my thesis

Have you heard the story,
in all of it's fun and glory.
It is about a young girl named Lori,
she went with a boy named John Dory.
She went running to the lavatory,
was this going to become inflammatory?
Eating blue cheese and old pickles each day,
sitting by the bay.
Her boyfriend John Dory just wanted to play,
she kept saying no way.
Now on her birthday,
she is getting a baby not a blue jay.
