Man of Belize
Man of Belize

While speaking to a Man of Belize,
He admitted a penchant for Blue Cheese.
I said no its smelly,
It upsets my belly,
Don’t offer me Blue, if you please....

My Blue Cheese Is B S
Blue Cheese for me toe curling,

               The silkiest yummiest treat;

               Bamboo Shoots send me hurling,

               Their wafting the stinkiest feet!

Aging
Sour grapes,
Ancient clunker,
Moldy Gorgonzola,
Scarred garage sale table.

Fine wine,
Vintage car,
Rich blue cheese,
Polished antique furniture.

Time passes for all things.
Whether treasure or trash,
Depends upon the attitude.
Life is no different.

Premium Member Used To Touch My Toes
Used to touch my toes
Kick my legs in the air
Do exercises in droves
Like I did not care

Now I’m full of donuts
Potato chips and blue cheese.
My ankles are all puffy
I can no longer see my knees

Have not been swimming since ’98.
Weigh now more than a boxer’s weight.
I waddle to my well-deserved fate
Have no one else to lambast or hate....

New Resolutions
I shall tread 2011 with champagne in my veins and pink fluff in my brain
I will eat blue cheese and think of it as the moon
I will smell green growings and see only yellow daisies standing tall
I shall touch orange petals and know that they are gold
I shall hear birdsong and think that it is blue
I will try to make life magic - rainbow sparkles in my hair....

Confetti
Wretched thrives going at rapid speeds
Spreading lines like ill manic seeds
Fanatic flowers attacking whack salad weeds
Hoeing each line with a cocaine breeze

I sneeze and tease these cursive lines with ease
Herbs dipped in asinine with the blue cheese
Cheddar mixed with ketamine, fed my epiphany if any.
Thoughts ready to go steady. Aim fire bang goes the confetti....

Premium Member My Blue Cheese Is
Anchovy that stinky small fish
Don't place it on my salad plate
Don't serve it on my pizza dish
As appetizers it won't sate

The odor clings to the lettuce leaves
It ruins each pizza slice touched
Don't serve me anchovies, it grieves
all my senses when they are smutched

Smutched means when something is smudged..
Rispetto is form but it is a rhyming form....

Condiment Infidelity
Yellow Mustard joined Olive Oil
At the motel, Blue Cheese Lagoon
Afraid he was much too anxious
Because she said he came to soon!

But he then knew what was ado
His cousin Dijon was more quick
Yellow Mustard was disappointed
Unaware Olive Oil was so slick

But the other condiments knew
They didn't need a measuring cup
They said it was in front of you
Come on Yellow Mustard Catch up!...

My Blue Cheese Is Fish
Greasy fish, swimming in oil,
Helplessly lying on my plate.
It makes my taste buds boil and toil,
I guarantee, it’s less than great.
It’s shapeless, floppy, and limp like worms,
It smells like a pile of waste.
And I can’t even find the accurate terms,
To describe the taste.
Colorless and soggy,
With hazardous bones that you can’t see,
It makes my vision foggy,
It’s not the food for me....

BLOOD PUDDING ANYONE ?

Unlike chicken à la king
of which I am quite fond
the mere thought of blood pudding
churns my stomach twice beyond

Indeed blood pudding
is my nasty evil nemesis
I am far from kidding
for I've made it the premise of my thesis

Pineapple pizza with pink pepperoni,
Buffalo wings and brown guacamole,
Little dead fishes in sour cream sauces,
Onions and garlic and greasy red sausage.

Cucumber sandwiches plastered with mustard,
Lemons and limes in a yucky green custard,
Fat happy chickens less all of their feathers,
Tomatoes, potatoes, my mother's hot peppers...

These are a few of my flavorless things!...

My Blue Cheese Is Melting
Reluctant as I was to choose
the blue cheese crumbles looked invitingly blue,
a little moldy, I guess perhaps
as the crumblies feel from plate to lap.
I scooped them up unseen
and put them discretely on my salad beans.
Then as I picked up my fork
 there appeared the strangest quirk
as the blue had blended into the white
 much to my delight
and with each savory taste
I enjoyed the cheese I used to hate....

Loaded Baked Potato
When you bake these tubers unearthed from the ground,
many ways to stuff them can be found.
Onions, peppers, chives, and mushrooms can please.
How about cheddar, Monterey jack, or blue cheese?
Fill them with chili, bacon bits, or sour cream.
Butter with salt and pepper is good, it would seem.
There are other ingredients. Anyone can dream.
One of the most versatile foods is the potato.
Dress it up. Let your imagination flow....

My Blue Cheese Is
I remember the day I ate a whelk,
A day I'll not forget.
Like chewing on a leather belt,
I broke into a sweat.

Sticky bits and slimy stuff
Were clinging to my teeth.
Nearby was an empty sink,
Much to my relief.

Over I went, spat it out
And could scarce believe my eyes,
That gelatinous mess made me puke,
It's whelks that I despise.

Premium Member Blue, Blue and More Blue
Blue, the color of summer skies.
Blue is the hue of my lover’s eyes.
Blue the one color that I adore.
Great Grandpa wore blue in the Civil War.
My mama dressed me in shades of blue
Then held me close as a mother will do.
Blue are the mountains and blue is the sea.
No favorite color but blue for me.
I’m fond of Elvis’s blue suede shoes.
Blue Smurfs and blue cheese I also choose.
A man who is poor or a man of means
Looks much the same, dressed in blue jeans....

In Praise of Cheeses
At breakfast time, don’t give me eggs
Or pancakes or French toast;
Some coffee and a cheese-topped bagel
Is what I like most.

Gouda, Muenster, Edam, Swiss,
American or Brie;
Jarlsberg, Asiago, Jack –
They all work fine for me.

I’m not a fan of smelly ones,
And blue cheese I despise;
I guess I’m more pedestrian
And not so worldly-wise.

But still, I’d like to offer praise
To every type that pleases;
The world would be a sadder place
If it did not have cheeses....

My Blue Cheese Is- Tripe
when it comes to food my biggest gripe
is how anyone can eat disgusting tripe,

lining of the stomach of ruminant cows
gastric juices of mine would not arouse,

if I was served this awful food on a plate
I would decline this just couldn’t be ate,

when it’s cooking can’t stand the smell
like something eaten by someone in hell,

tripe is not a delicacy for rich or poor
serve me rubbish I’ll show you the door.
