writing metaphorically about them? Ummm, no idea . . . I just had fun being whimsical.

So not entered into contest

Blue cheese and old pickles - yukkety yuk. Take them away from my face. Blue cheese is so stinky. Also its taste even with wine I can’t chase. If the pickles are dill, I do not care if they are new ones or old. I take pickles sweet or not one at all. Dill is no better than mold!

Andrea, tastes do make preferences for us. You capture the feeling of yuk really well with words. Funny too. Smiles!!

Hi Andrea, Love it, "Blue cheese and old pickles - yukkety yuk." So many would agree with that. Pickles are an acquired taste, dislike dill, like bread & butters. No goat cheese for me, thanks. Many love Ranch over Blue, and Italian over Russian. Anyway, thanks for the laughs in a poem called "Blue Cheese and Old Pickles". -Richard

I love dill, and as a child spit out sweet as lady like as I could. I loved the whimsical time I just shared with you. So much to write for yet a whimsy one grabbed you just for fun - I like that.

We do NOT have agreement about dill pickles. As far as blue cheese it is far better as a dressing than it is not in a dressing. Anyways thanks for writing something fun.

Ha. I don't even like sweet pickles very much. Don't see the sense in pickles at all. I'm glad you at least thought it was funny.

LOL Andrea. Your last line says it all for me. :)

I am not a fan of anything pickled. I tasted a non-brined pickle once and was still not impressed. And mold? Well, it worked for penicillin. LOL

Dill pickles suck. Olives too. I don't get what people see in stuff like that!

Andrea, your statement, "writing metaphorically about them? Ummm, no idea . . ." are the funniest words I have ever seen written by you. And now that I've read all of your lines, I'm still laughing at the end. Great humor!

Thanks, Lin. Unfortunately I had failed to notice his stipulation on metaphor writing. But hopefully I will get some laughs from my poem.
