roiled green with envy
roaring giants alter course…
picnic blanket spread
26 Jul 2014 – PD’s “In the Clouds” Contest
a thick blanket of green
clings securely to it's host
moist spongy consistency
P.R. Deremer
Night
draws on
Darkness wrap
around the world
like a hefty blanket,all
put head down
Hush draw out
with the
night
The dusk unfolds his blanket
And lays it upon the skies,
Silence rests on every man and beast
And echoes in the skies.
You are beautiful
Brave and strong marikana
Capitalist bullets
Have not killed his spirit
The man in the green blanket
In neon skys you encompass me,
a gift of emotion and serenity.
You shine of today's promise,
I fear tommorow's dimming.
Form:
a fine blanket of sand
toasts a calloused skin
a definitive bouquet
a calming pitch
the ocean embraces me
and I submit
Pull your blanket up my child
I know you are so very tired
Let momma tuck you in to dream
Of running free in meadows green
Fog drapes
Cascading sheet
Suspended damp blanket
Drapes emerald pines' limbs with wet
Layers
The comfort of lights
Streaked across cafe Windows.
Noise like a blanket.
Cocooned by cacophony,
Refugee from loneliness.
The freedom has difficult way,
The drumsticks are playing cello,
Totalerance searches for prey
under your blanket, fellow.
The big grey blanket,
Meets riding damp from forest mist,
Such winter comfort
(C) 2016 PJ Bayliss
a winter sun rise
barren trees aglow with frost
a blanket of snow
alit like fire from the sun
cover all that once was green
happiness never settles
she comes slowly smiling
but vanishes in thin air
as you begin to harness it
under your warm blanket
i hang
on the edge
of your words
wrapping
myself
in the blanket
of warmth
that emanates
from the kindness
of your heart
Sitting in the dark
Heat envelopes me
Like a comforting blanket
The wind barely brushing past me
As I soak in the solitude.
petals fall down
drifting on a spring breeze
to blanket the ground
reminiscent of the snow
but fragrant to the senses
Neath blanket of night
Lovers burn like shooting stars
Pale moon blushes pink

Blanket swaddled
Face pressed against
Icy glass.
Amazed!
Sunlight shooting
beautiful rainbows from
hanging Icicles.
Falling soft and white
tiny crystals closely knit
to cover the earth

Cherry tree rendered
Sweet warm breezes surrender
Petals falling down
Natures blanket we have found
Last love we will remember
Dark hair, dark eyes,
A beautiful surprise.
Precious and new,
A blanket in blue.
Another girl you see
A reflection of me.
A gurgling brook
Surrounded by large oak trees
Flowers everywhere
And a blanket for the ground
Best picnic place ever found!
