Blackjack Dealer Named Whitney
There’s a wanna-be boxer named Whitney,
Who deals blackjack in Atlantic City.
I said with a straight face,
“That you’ll never win, ace.”
And then foolishly told him to hit me....

Twenty-One All the Time
One of my many foibles is greed.
I have placed myself in a bad situation indeed.
If I only hadn't sat at this blackjack table today.
My depleted bankroll won't permit me to stay.
I am flummoxed by the way the dealer pulls twenty-one.
That's it. I am over and done.

Love Or Love
Love or “Love”
Love is a disease
A plague,
A sickness…
Possessing everything
That does not
Belong to Her
In exchange for no guarantees,
Broken promises, or
Unfulfilled realties…
Love is a game of Blackjack,
Half a chance…
To win or to lose…
The stakes are high…
But we don’t’ care…
We risk it all…
For love…
Or the illusion of it....

Blackjack Dummy
Casinos are the land of milk and honey.
This absolute fool thinks he has found a knack.
The dummy bets all of his hard-earned money.
He says he cannot lose when he plays blackjack.
There is a bad truth that he will realize.
Sooner or later he is in for a surprise.
He will come home with pockets that are empty.
Just another loser is what he will be....

Blackjack
Once in a while
Watch blackjack style
We sit around
Cash stakes now ground
A card game here
Works luck's sweet gear
A stash of cash
As high cards flash
Cash and plenty
Now comes to me
This new vintage
Piles new mintage
The banker wins
As cash comes in
Blackjack and more
Now floods my stores

Vegas
Vegas
I went to Vegas
I bet on red
it came up black
wanna go home
cause funds now lack!
Went back to Vegas
with hopes and dreams;
turned into a nightmare;
when I played
those slot machines!
Then I sat down
to play BlackJack
lost my money;
now want it back!
Maybe my luck
will set me free
or this is the last
Vegas will see of me!

Hole Card
There are blackjack dealers in the world that's real.
They have a hole card they don't reveal.
These are individual who have to lie, cheat, and steal.
You don't always have to enter a casino.
Crooks in great numbers are wherever you go.
Ask them something, and they say "I don't know".
So many tricksters have something to hide.
That is a fact of life that cannot be denied.

Booze Makes You Lose
Be sure you lay off the booze.
If not, it's certain you'll lose.
That's something not to forget
when playing blackjack or roulette.
The girls bring drinks all the time.
They're the house’s partners in crime.
They get you drunk to get your money.
Soon it will be gone. That's not funny.
You will reach into your pocket, and there will be no more.
Without any money, you will soon be out the door....

Ambitious Treasure Seekers
Ambitious treasure seekers on a pirate ship
They bob up and down as the waves give a dip.
We see them coming, and we give a loud shout.
Giving them a hooray and hoorah from our homes no doubt.
We know they have money in the forms of silver and gold.
They came to the coast to gamble – both young and old.
We open our blackjack stations and light our casino sign.
If there is any real big spender, I hope she comes to mine....

Card Counting Actor
A big Hollywood star decided to go
to play some blackjack at a Las Vegas casino.
The management did not like what was going on.
Suspected of card counting, the actor was gone.
This episode appeared in need of a reality check.
How does one keep track of aces and tens in each deck?
The scene presented itself to be unclear and quite mucky.
Is it not permissible for patrons to get lucky?

Penguins Mishap Is Honorable
Penguin was embarrassed because he had fallen through the ice.
He had not done it only one time, he had done it thrice.
Anchorage Alaskan penguins cheered and yelled “one more time!”
He became a hero of sorts, so he felt a bit more sublime.
Now on a roll, he decided to try to break the ice.
He jumped on it hard, but it was as solid as blackjack dice.
He tried again, and the other penguins cheered him on.
Not embarrassed now, he began skating on the pond....
