I thought this was going to be for the didactic contest. anyway, you captured the fear and the anticipation very nicely :)

Perfect! Perfect 20 syllables and a great entry into David's contest! I've played blackjack a little, and from what little I've played, I've actually won! Now if I really needed to win, I most certainly wouldn't win! How are you at blackjack? Good idea for the contest, i like it! Great Work!!

I dealt the game in Atlantic City for over fourteen years. As Robert DeNiro said in "Casino", "...the players don't stand a chance...we're the only guaranteed winners. And in the end, we get it all".

Clever to use 20 in the 20/20 contest - I was thinking about doing the same thing but in a different way. I hate losing when I have 2 face cards!!!
