Booze Makes You Lose

Be sure you lay off the booze.
If not, it's certain you'll lose.
That's something not to forget
when playing blackjack or roulette.
The girls bring drinks all the time.
They're the house’s partners in crime.
They get you drunk to get your money.
Soon it will be gone. That's not funny.
You will reach into your pocket, and there will be no more.
Without any money, you will soon be out the door.

That's why the casinos keep serving free drinks -- it makes people loose with their money. I guess the idea really isn't funny, but your poem had me laughing, Robert. Great work! Love, Carolyn
