That dwells inside

They are odorless,colorless and tasteless like water..

My dream of a world
I had a dream of a family
In a world,
Father love
Mother peace
Son unity
Daughter joy
Uncle progress
Aunty success
Cousin happiness
Friends togetherness
A family found in a world,
Called nature,
Never I had a better dream,
than this,
A world I Long for,
This is where,
I call heaven,
And here is,
My dream of a world,

Paying homage to an ordinary woman who lost her husband after the Great War due to being gassed on the Western Front. A gentle and well loved woman.
My youngest son is twenty two; he stands at six foot three.
I went shopping the other day and saw some soft toys for ninety eight p.
I took one look and picked them up, two of them so sweet and cud-de-ly.
To give to great nieces and nephews, from their favourite great aunty.
My son saw one, “that’s sweet” he said “have you bought that for me?”
The soft sweet polar bear now resides by his side, for all on face book to see.

I wandered as lonely as a dog,
Me pantaloons were full of frogs
Slurping suds while on the grog,
Dog paddling with the ducks,
I thought I knew her lovely face,
Got cuddling with Aunty Grace
mascara was every place,
me swimming togs got stuck,
a rooster crowed up in the church,
cuckoo clock was in reverse,
I could think of nothing worse,

In the morning when I was about leaving
Aunty Rose’s house in Iba,it was
An Environmental day in Lagos.
Life showed us immense kindness when
One day, a princess was born into our home
Uniting estranged brothers, nay, brethren
Into one hive, into one honeycomb
Solomon, Henry, Paul and Stephen
All brothers of yours
Armed themselves morning till evening
Brooms swathing at insects by the gross
Revelry revealed in our victory dances
Aunty wakes up in anger to shut us up
Halting our steps and prances
A queen you were born to be
Mom is proud of you; so are we
What quiet times did she have
When she thought of him again
She shed a tear for what was given
As her one love had been stuck down
Gassed on the Western Front
To die from cancer slowly made
And she was left alone to raise alone
Three children struggling through years
That marked her as a poor struggling one
Each day she cleaned and cooked others meals
But in the quiet times she shed her tears
To a man whose duty took him and her best years.
