Not every warfare that there and here brewed
was always hybrid or aka hebrewed.

Tommy Atkins

Look at Tommy go.
See Tommy fall,
row after row.
Cut down by Maxim guns.
Sacrificial victims for the Huns.

HUNDRED YEARS AGO PLUS

crowded damp trenches,
in cold uniforms waiting,
then the whistle blew,
to hell, they ran all soldiers,
in a field of arduous screams.

Ground exploding,

ANZAC DAY

As we commemorate this Anzac Day,
We shall remember them this way,
Forever asleep, young and brave,
Heroes now resting in foreign graves,
We thank them for our freedom today,
Forever asleep, always young and brave.

snow covered lie

White ash falls
settling on the ruin of disaster
the tomb of the newly dead,
the death of those still standing.
A forgotten story,
a lost tale,
the remains of madness,
cased by the white blanket covering the scarred land.

Triolet:Fix Bayonets

Fix bayonets to fight the foe,
Over the 'top' to sound of shell.
Village men of Fingeringhoe
Fix bayonets to fight the foe.
Fighting for King and country lo!
Trench warfare sure is swell
Fix bayonets to fight the foe
Over the 'top' to sound of shell.

The Carpenters

We thought we were invincible,

Fearless, there we stood.

But somewhere to the rear

We heard someone sawing wood.

It was over the top for us,

A fight was in the offing.

But not for the carpenters,

They were busy, making coffins.

2016 - Continuity

The men are not made by war,
But our Kingdom is always tore.
Why must we always hate?
Can we not have a different fate?

Revolution of the young,
Will bring about change - sure to come.
O where is the next silver tongue?
When they be found beat the drum-

I Wish

I wish the world was peaceful
And no one had to die
I wish to banish agony and pain
So no one had to cry
I wish for no violence
No shrapnel in the thigh
I wish for more respect in the world
So soldiers could get by
I wish the world was pure and good
So no one had reason to lie

The flower of the nations youth

The Flower of the nations youth,
died in the war.
The price that we paid in blood
heavily we bore.
Now every year red poppies
we lay on their grave
There is no denying
everyone of them was brave.
We will stand quietly
on a cold November day.
Bow our heads respectfully
and silently pray.

Armistice

Eleventh hour—
	young men perished,
their hopes and dreams all lost:
	Ypres, The Marne, Verdun

of the
Eleventh day—
	silent, fell guns,
	and stillness took the front:
	Argonne, Belleau Wood, Amiens

of the
Eleventh month—
	the war men claimed
	would end all others:
	sadly, it did not

The Two Major Opposite Things in Life

War
Repulsive, Gruesome
Screaming, Crying, Fighting
Something that haunts your dreams; The one thing that makes you smile
Laughing, Smiling, Sharing
Beautiful, Phenomenal
Peace

Annoying Wars

Its here again
Why though?
Oh how we wonder

Death is near
A cupidity for creating cadavers
Oh the sorrow and fear

Once again
So many lives
They meet their end

Terror and horror faced
Only to get what
With honor they are graced

Dead are stars
Over foolish things
Comes annoying wars

The changing of days

Let us give up this time,
to give glory and praise.
To the world all around us,
to the changing of days.
We were born to be one,
to unite and hold hands.
But the war it continues,
still dividing the lands.
Such a sad time of year,
for the lonely and old,
Nothing worth giving in to.
nothing left to withhold.

Love without hope

Listen to poem:
Trenches filled with a nations youth and homes with broken dreams
No golden years are guaranteed when the queen calls your name
No wedding days and two up two downs and gardens neat and clean
Just stolen lives an empty chair and a letter from the queen
