'jealous' Acrostic

Jaunty faces
Evoke positive thoughts  
And even though they say encouraging words to you
Layered within those words are thoughts of failure
Only their mind’s eye knows about
Until that day you are on your knees
Struggling to get up; while they are watching you and not lending a hand
