school awards
worthless garbage that set kids
apart from their peers
applause when come up on stage
for any prize but poetry
Real life aint
no drama
with some
distant applause
it is an
inconvenient cause
I said it
happy or sad
let us be moved
“Chad deserves a round of applause!”
And more applause!
And more applause!
And a standing ovation!
And giggles get passed around!
a faceless man
stands on the corner and waves
as if on a stage
as if delivering
the third and final act
from a play
from life
Nail clipped
hands scale ivory
tones striving for
bright major key rhythm
try after try until finally
applause.

Hold the applause, I’m not dead yet
she said, in deafening soft voice
you wish to sing, to dance, rejoice;
give me another cigarette.
So,
if you
like to play
music while you
make love; choose
a live album – you’re
guaranteed to get some
applause every five minutes
Jay Leno is known for telling jokes
And gets applause from many folks
They always smile, they always grin
When he jokes about his massive chin
for his affecting music
Beethoven did not hear applause
but he felt enthusiastic clapping hands
PS Beethoven was deaf since childhood
IF AM THE BEST
THAN I SHOULD GET
THE APPLAUSE
AND THE AWARD
for not being a jerk
and my good work
if they past the test
than
AWARD THE
BEST
There was a line at the loo
poor pups didn't know what to do
each clapped his four paws
with rousing applause
when Frenchy finished his poo!
Once the world may say let me
roll or bounce like a ball
a round of applause to the bull
like seagull?
later is something to imagine?.
Everyone hates harassment; but some take the risk.
Let's hear applause for heroic, valiant voices
who are not afraid to step up and speak the truth.
Woman's charm
Adds the calm
To the cause
Woman's grace
Poise and pace
To applause
By default
Let's exalt
All of hers

O Santa Claus, applause, applause
This Christmas Day I’ll stay indoors
For once I’m fed
I’m off to bed
My husband loves my scanty drawers
Grasses around them
Stand in ovation,
Look how they sway
With the wind symphony;
A rain of applause
Let and enliven,
In awe of my first
Twin flowers of May.
Opening night:
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears
(thunderous applause)
Second night:
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears
Eh? What?
third eye pulsates
seeking our applause
we put such appraisals
immediately on pause
delusion of grandeur
taunts of ego
the time is now
to completely let go
When the past's more v'v'd than the here-and-now
Depart the stage w'th a curtsy or a bow
Let youth perform and garner the applause
You opt out w'th a grandfather clause
I hear the clouds
as they drift on a sigh
I feel the colors
bleed in the sunset sky
I touch time
as it weaves in the air
I see thunder
when it's applause isn't there
we saw through camouflaged intent
our heart’s nonchalance surprised us
we smiled, space flickered in applause
there was no need, life’s but a dream
wherein all that matters is love
