some of the younger ones turned to me, thinking I knew something
I know nothing; I do not even know how I got on this beach.
A thunderstorm shook me awake in the middle of the night.
Crashing and thrashing noises terrified me.
I thought it was a mutiny and the captain might have been killed.

Said a prayer and

Sirens

Sugar-sighing seas swell and stir
my seaman's obsession with blonde pleasures
but treachery’s buried in treasures feminine gold
a flute  a lyre  voices honey dipped in gilded danger
temptation burns Hades flames on sunset waters
sea-devils  those  she-devils  salty-tear-sweet

ooh songstress sisters  please  just a taste
a kiss on lips that set fire to desires

The Shipwreck of Love

The ship of dreams, a fragile, drifting thing,
A tattered sail, where love once took its wing.
Arianna gone, a whisper on the breeze,
Leaving only echoes of the heart's disease.

You search for solace, in the fading light,
A lonely figure, lost in endless night.
The memory of her laughter, a haunting refrain,
A phantom touch, a lingering, sweet pain.

Capsizing the Costa Concordia

Divers wreathe silently through
the submerged corridors of a 
140,000-ton wreck. Little fish
dark haphazardly through
the juxtaposition of tilted ballroom,
granite bars fixed in place.
Black waters lit green by headlamps
provide a surreal spotlight
for a loveseat drifting by
A vase of Chinese dollar plants poised delicately
on a marble counter.
Across the underwater tomb,
toppled chairs, tumbled together,
wait patiently to be repositioned
outside

A Shipwreck She Salvaged

She came aboard my sinking ship
a death blow to the bow,
attempts to bail and keep afloat
this mariners tattered sails.

Plot a new course and navigate
in storms and angry seas,
this vessel lists in the swells
life plundered by piracy.

Now this new maidens charge
is to steer starboard side,
for a new sheltered port 
with rising tides.

Love Letter To Rose Shipwreck

To my Dearest Darling Rose

I am writing this letter to you at this
moment sat on my own up on deck
of the ship and it's around midnight 
We are somewhere due south of the 
equator in the middle of the Indian Ocean 
off the coast of east Africa

If the tempest of time torments your life 
in the shipwreck on the rough sea of strife,
with the perennial hope you’ll again float,
if you find a sacred place on the divine boat.
Life will get the rhythm of waves rolling free,
if you make the serene soul a seamless sea.
