MY WONDERFUL SENIORS AND THE DMV

MANY SENIORS DURING COVID DURING THE GOVERMENT SHUT DOWN SO MANY SENIORS OPTED FOR RENEWING DRIVERS LICENSE ONLINE OTHERS EYE SIGHT HAD CHANGED A LOT WITH CATERACTS ON THE RISE IT COULD BE DEVESTATING RENEWING ONLINE FOR SOME WAS SIMPLY FEAE OF NOT PASSING THE EYE EXAMS HOWEVER IF THEY HAD UPDATED INFORMATION THESE CHANGES

Advice to Seniors

Celebrate life! Love, laugh, live it up,
and never have to explain,
because this is the oldest you've been
and the youngest you'll ever be again.

SENIORS

Seniors should be
Care for and protected
Not upset and having
To worry about their future
Wondering where they're going to get
Their next meal, how to
Pay for medication or
Even their bills, even Germany
respects and cares for their seniors

I’ve worked for years and 
Had to put up with being
Mistreated, favoritism and
Unfairness in order to 
Make a living and pay my bills
I am now of retirement age
To find out the money
I paid out is now in jeopardy
It’s my money, don’t touch it

My world has become one of the impossible,
where the impossible may become possible.

My world has become one of fantasy,
fantasies that becomes ones reality.

Reality where ones limited imagination,
combined with visions, artistry and talent

take ones existence, one’s mind into realms,
beyond that of this world, our reality

and into to the ether world of ones dreams
ones

Ginger Shots

Today of all days I am dividing my tears into sections, 

With each moment, with each tear drop and snuffle I makes 

The paper tissues will always thread,  

crumbling signs some mishaps in life 

 surely, cannot be mended; 

 

Yesterday was your birthday,  

Today it's my revelation, of life, (my life)

Once I was young, 
now I'm an oldie;
Once I was shiny, 
now I'm all moldy.

Who Cares?

Who cares…
When loved ones with dementia go missing and resources caregivers lack
When the poor are given a handout, not a helping hand to get on track
When lying scammers and telemarketers, seniors cannot hold back 
And one bad decision results in suicide or homicide following a hack?

Friday Night Check-Ins

The days have been calm and collected.
The guests have been happy, content.
The weekday staff scurry out from the hotel
To avoid the upcoming event.

Weekend receptionists tremble
As the Friday night check-ins approach,
Fearing the tsunami of wrinklies
On their three-day excursions-by-coach.
