WORLDS ARE FORSAKEN

Mama sings those same old songs
Babies crying waving their hands
Elder's seniors being left alone
Worlds are forsaken

Teens vying for affection
Having no mind for correction
Disbelieving, misbehaving is their direction
Worlds are forsaken

Boys, teens pull up your pants, stand
Girls, teens pull down the hems of your dress
there's no need for me to see your middle/upper thighs..
Children open your eyes
Worlds are forsaken

Grandma and Grandpa vying for affection
Being left alone sings those same old songs
Now led to crying waving their hands
Disbelieving, is now their direction
People open your eyes
Worlds are forsaken

TIME IS UP.

My dream of childhood soared high
                     to grow older quick
not to be dominated by seniors.

At last desired adulthood opened door of cage
                           at proper age.
                    Released from parental care.
                     Enjoyed independent life in flare.

                Success to access on happiness.
Despondence and failure, also to endure.
Ups and Downs, Smiles and Frowns
                           on journey of life.

                     Didn’t care about ruthless time
                              reaching me to seniority.
Busy life, crazy ideas, immense work- load
made a sudden stop, a shock to accept.

                   Inevitable physical limitations
caught me again to be captivated and confined in cage.
Youthful energetic mind could not cope up
                       with decaying physique.
It’s hard to admit: MY TIME IS UP.

Our Valentine’s Day

We are tied in a bond of fantastic friendship.
We celebrated Valentine’s day, Two Thousand Sixteen.
We love each other and honor our fellowship.

We are chained together in close kinship.
We are seniors, no running in sweet sixteen.
We are tied in a bond of fantastic friendship.

We loiter, we chatter, we laugh, we gossip.
We care, we share, we talk, we listen.
We love each other and honor our fellowship.

On Valentine’s Day we opened Champagne, took long sip
We each cheered for our individual Valentine.
We are tied in a bond of fantastic friendship.

We went on cruise boarding a gorgeous ship.
We tasted grilled prawn, ham in cozy canteen.
We love each other and honor our fellowship.

We were glad to watch a young couple on courtship.
We bought heart shaped balloons red and green.
We are tied in a bond of fantastic friendship.
We love each other and honor our fellowship.

Premium Member Forgotten

Can she who births a human flock,
forget to give her newborn suck.
Oh yes indeed! She may forget,
and leave their basic needs unmet.

To amnesia our minds are prone,
As by wild winds our lives are blown,
seniors in nursing homes alone
forgotten by their flesh and bone.

And what of children on the streets
who forage bins for food to eat.
Clothes dark with dirt, disdained and scorned,
Forgotten as though never born.

Some soldiers who return from war
Are left to suffer from their scars.
They fought to secure freedom sweet,
Forgotten now they roam the street.

Worst are the infants strapped in seats,
and left to perish in the heat.
So many die, it is so sad
Forgotten by their mom or dad.

Feeling forgotten in your soul,
like a sole mole inside a hole?
Cheer up and ponder well this thought,
humans forget, but God does not.

YOUR LADDER WILL BE GREATER

he tried to get the attention
of a wounded nation
Haggai, wanted to shift them to give
God consideration
but they prioritized their time to do
what was best for their needs
forgetting that it's God
Who plants the righteous seeds
your latter will be greater
once you come to comprehend
that the collective needs of the people
is more important than the needs of individual men

today we've got leaders in control
full of corruption
An extreme right-wing agenda causing
nothing but obstruction

we need a Haggai to come in
and strongly speak out
we need a prophet of God to stand up
and commence to shout
we need our spiritual lives nurtured
we need a protein shake of praise
we need a hallelujah moment
we need our voices to be raised
we need to come together
and stand on business as one
we need a multi-generation of God's people
to get the job done
your latter will be greater
when we lock in and be in step
with the wisdom of the seniors
and the energy of the youth to now rep

yes the trauma of the past
has a place in the conversation
something the younger generation needs to hear
and take under consideration
opposition to our mission
is a part of the process
even Jesus had haters
whom He had to address
now don't get upset
you'll never have 100% cooperation
just don't let them hinder you
from completing your application

your latter will be greater
as soon as you adhere to God's plans
and as long as faith comes by hearing
and the words in your ears now land
now let the Holy Spirit quicken
and get you to re-engage
to finish what you started
now you and the Lord on the same page
no more excuses
it's time to show up
just give God a yes
and let Him overflow your cup
don't get discouraged
God will give you a second word
for your latter will be greater
when by the Holy Spirit you'll strongly spurred
just don't let your memory be the enemy
to the now God has in mind
a new day, a new way
the current reality of God
we need to get behind

visions change can be rearranged
we need to focus on the here and now
let go of what used to be
a new way of operating we must allow
your latter will be greater
once you wholly embrace
the concept that God will always
put things perfectly in place

your latter will be greater
god

Premium Member Speed Dating For Seniors

Speed dating if you're a senior , can be an ordeal.
But it would be so nice to have someone to share a meal.
So we get gussied up and head for the venue
and wait for the first gentleman to come into view.

And the first to sit down has ears like Mr. Spock
and the second one is wearing fuzzy socks and crocs.
Five minutes with each is more than enough
as they try to impress us and strut their stuff.

Of course, we're all older and set in our ways
but all of us know we have limited days.
Still we are picky, holding out for Mr. Right.
It may be called Speed dating but it takes most of the night.

So check marks and smiles and X's for a few ,
but we all tough it out hoping to meet someone who
will be the right fit, a gentleman and a scholar.
Not someone who's deaf so we all need to holler .

Now the guy with those ears might just win " best in show"
and the socks and crocs guy, he'll just have to go .
We say our goodbyes and hope we've impressed
and we didn't waste our time getting so carefully dressed.

So at the end of the evening we hand in our notes
with those crosses and ticks to be tallied by hosts ,
and then we go home and hopefully wait
for some tick marks to match so we'll finally get a date .

Premium Member Can You Imagine

Can you imagine if you are going to college and someone paying off all your loans?
Can you imagine starting off on a clean slate in life? Can you imagine you being in a position where you will be able to help the next generation after you? Can you imagine?
A billionaire and family did it for Morehouse College seniors for 2019.
I consider this as being ‘A Time of Jubilee’ concept.
Jubilee is a time of forgiveness, a time of ‘Respiration’ “…and is a physiology movement of oxygen from the outside environment to the cells within tissues, and the transport of carbon dioxide in the opposite direction.”
Billionaire, Mr. Robert F. Smith help started off a new chapter in history.
The Question is; Will others with the abilities to set ‘The FutureNow’ students off on a ‘Debt Free’ road, where they could help bring America to the place where God has a plan for it to be? That is a question only they can answer, or are they plan to take it to the grave unused???
And in the meantime, do what you supposed to do with what God has given YOU to do, or YOU will allow it to go to the grave unused.
This is my take for today and I will not take it back.

Premium Member New Years Will bring ring

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------New Years
Will bring, ring .

Out with the old and into memories hoard, history it goes.
In with the new, unknown, and with it, new adventures.

For us seniors, and others, it is me myself and I
who transition the micro, millisecond between then and now.

We are surrounded by four walls and the tapestries they display.
Images of the spirits of our ancestors, as for me, three generations.

They are accompanied by images of my family, three Daughters,
three Grand Sons, two Grand Daughters and two Great Grand Daughters.

Ten souls that make up four generations and counting.
Although a fifth, these eyes will never be graced by nor souls to known.

Along with Family hang the pictorial images of Ex-wives and some Ex-lovers
who once gave to me, some of themselves, some of their hearts and souls.

These souls, along with four Chinese beauties have been my companions
throughout the transition from one year to the next, as me, myself and I,
bid good bye to the adventures of 2025 with the first half hour of Perry Mason,
and greeted 2026 with the last half hour of Perry Mason, a movie and sleep.

When One awakes on the first day of a New Year, One has to wonder ???,
what the power brokers, the politicians, the dictators, the none humanitarians,
the hateful, the vengeful, the spiteful, the greedy, all the religions on this
little blue planet have instore for us *****sapiens, humanity, birds, fish,

the animals, the forests, Mother Earth, herself and all that resides within her
and upon her sphere that allows her to be a perfect home for all sentient beings.

On the Cusp

All our lives we’re on the cusp
When entering a phase,
From infancy to toddlerhood
And on, all through our days.

We go to school and then we’re on
The cusp of a career.
We date and fall in love; the cusp
Of family life draws near.

We reach the cusp of middle age
And possibly success,
Along with all the highs and lows
Of life and all the stress.

As years go by, we reach the cusp
Of yet another stage,
Becoming “seniors” with the downfalls
Linked with older age.

It ends the way that it begins -
For right from our first breath,
We go through life, forgetting
We are on the cusp of death.

Premium Member Who Am I

Quote Written By Poet "In youth we can do all things. In middle age we can still dream. Seniors can only reminisce."

              In middle age,
feeling grown up over the years.
A flower opening up to the world,
        know where I am going.
Now standing firm and tall through many challenges,
I am enjoying what life has to give me now.
I can see this big world clearly,
I am ready to finish the run of life strong.

              With each new day,
showing me how to be better.
A better wife, a mother and a friend,
        letting peace show brightly.
Giving makes the world go around with joy to all,
it is fun to give away time and ideas.
I love writing for my readers,
giving them a smile or two as they read along.
