Scrupulous Poems

Quote: "Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words," By Poet

           *********

It glides—not gently,
but akin to a scrupulous scalpel,
a syllabic salve for rusted throats
and trapped desires.
It drips down the well of grief,
melting into metaphor,
softening jagged memories
into pains that are easier to bear.

This poetry is not serene.
It is slick with secrets
and greasy with grammar's
serpentine filth,
and sentences thrum
through the engine of anguish.
You utter the words,
and the universe starts to shift.
A bearing in the brain,
a balm under the bruises,
and syntax strung, such as silk
between broken cogs of memory.

Each line is dense.
Each verse unwinds—
caught in the hinge of desire and pain.
Essence of the oracle,
gleam of refinement.
Let it spread:
a rhythm that caresses,
a mouthful of taut truths
seeping through the snags of silence.

Vermeer’s milkmaid

scrupulous maid
     content, playful face

balanced poverty
     ultramarine touch

bread baked right
     blushing thoughts

rolled up sleeves
     neglected arms

damped window
     agreeable fate

Premium MemberI have non rules

I do things by chance as a non-rule
Purposefully open, calm and cool
Scrupulous schemers and strictarians, stay out of my way
Happy-go-lucky and flexible is how I play.

Premium MemberMagnificent Masterpiece

In toiling times
the resilient state
of self-discipline
connects conscience
with perennial precept
in the algorithm of being
with ego abandoned
the meaning of life
measured emotionally
with essence quotient
of inspiring insight
defines the transcendence
of enigmatic existence
harmoniously enshrined
within the latent
human distillate.

Buoyant beyond
the storm of strife
convivial calmness
flows flawless
with composed current
of sensuous sentiment
submerging surge
of lavish love
and
embalming empathy
spread suffused
with optimistic opulence
on restored shore
of serene soul
unwavering mind
trussed secured
with scrupulous roots
of sanctified psyche
the thwarting thrust
of negative sensitivity
fades in sanguine air
blows away
the base instincts
in the wisdom wind
of ethical acuity.

With moral fiber
of positive passion
consciously creative
innovative mind
weaves the tapestry
of timeless acumen
embedded enmeshed
within motionless motif
of inner bliss
in the frame
of placating prudence
the art of living
manifests magnificently
the masterpiece.

No Bra Day

Abortion doesn't make no one single;
Neither does it make up for falling breasts,
Rather makes you mother to dead's jingle-
Battling scrupulous regrets in contests.

Law doesn't bring justifiable justice;
Neither does it make rising breasts loyal,
Rather makes you slave to trust armistice-
Keeping oath's respect in place of royal.

For union to keep in, distant divorce,
Just don't partake in this standing breasts tease.
That would probably promote raw remorse,
Of dreadful season driving home's unease.

Though, gents duly appreciate standing boobs;
Cook and master well, using seasoning cubes.

Premium Member'exceptional,' His Benchmark

Integrity, his middle name
    'Tops' was his trademark
  Scrupulous in all he did
    'Exceptional,' his benchmark

  Low maintenance for every boss he'd had
    Beloved of his Mom and Dad
  When he married the girl next door
    They cut a rug on the banquet floor...

  Two years later, their marriage shattered
    His wife's emotions lay in tatters
  All she'd wanted was affection ~
    All he demanded was perfection

Premium MemberDestiny

Waking, like birds, walking, running, rushing, pushing,
Working, like horse or donkey; earning day's living;
Colleagues, friends, even foes; a little bit of name,
If I move stones unmoved, I might get some scant fame;
Where will wheels of existence move beyond this rut?
What's the meaning, purpose, goal - beyond this shut-hut?

Chalices of trifles of troubles, turmoil, loses,
Physical psychic head-heart stress that imposes;
Conflicts, disputes, cock-hen like, dog-barks-like disputes,
Mindless grins, scrupulous remarks which have no roots;
Those smiles; guileless laughs; malice-less naughty nix-moves,
Intertwined like thread of nucleus, same truth proves...!

Anxieties, hurts and pains, like broken wings, flap,
These, like dragnets or hunters-holes do our strength trap;
Choosing spiritual paths that boldly hold God,
Senses, inner mind, and third vision in concord;
Rivulet of Ganges, that in subtle routes flows,
Should reach the sea of endless ages, with entire glow...!

Premium MemberLiving Proof

The dinner was very formal
The starters were served as normal

Scrupulous spread of hues, aromas, booze
So tempting to try one, but how to choose

A sea of dips, platters of cheese, and little boys
No one dared to try one, the host adroit with poise

Delayed, distracted in chatter, host kept the starving mob at bay
Guests unwilling to offend, stared like drooling lions at their prey

But surely there was no harm in sniffing, a polite hint to begin
So with fleeting glance, the guest picked up and sniffed the dish nearest to him

A quick sniff would surely not be seen as rude
But, in haste the nose got too close to the food

A dollop of ruddy dip clung on to nosy's tip end
Living proof of failure, with level best, to not offend.

Soul

Soul is subliminal
seemingly surreal,
stupefying, still a
sedulous, scrupulous
scrutiny shows those who
seek salvation savour
stupendous sensations

To write this piece will be strenuous.
It could become downright arduous.
For it is a task quite rigorous.
So, despite the fact it may be onerous;
To the point of being tortuous.
The poet remains truly zealous.
In actuality he is punctilious;
Combined with being tenacious.
He will remain fastidious,
As well as conscientious.
To the end he will be sedulous.
He writes because he’s pertinacious;
That by being extremely assiduous;
This poem will turn out glamorous.
Despite the attempt to be scrupulous,
It seems the content may be mucilaginous.
Hopefully to have read it, was not laborious.
Perchance did you find it hilarious?
To write any more would be superfluous.
You need not be so supercilious.

Bird of Pray

There is a beat
      rhythm,
in this repetitive dance
   beating cadence of the drums,
   sounding
a melodic hustling hum;
we do not fight,
   avoiding confrontations
we do not draw blood
   yet spar for a voice
and we bleed struggling to be heard
   and we die
   for what we need
in our waiting,
   no longer fence-sitting,
   beleaguered by our uncertain hopes
   and scrupulous of our betrayed dreams
in our desire for a reasonable understanding
   for attitudes, ideas
   to become empathy and compassion
   for acceptance of the reality
   of times that are well passed;
and to be who we are meant to be,
  humanity
and recognize where we all need to go,
   living, longing, hopeful, equal
   but no longer asking
rather demanding
   that the soaring heavens
   see, hear, touch
   to find your heart, each and every heart
and rise to the occasion
  ready,
  willing,
  tolerant
  accepting for change.

Bibliobibuli

I open my bleary eyes,
To the beautiful sheaf of sunlight.
Book lying beside me sighs!
And whooshing sound of papers rant, as they fly by.
Baby! Why you left me without saying good bye!

What do I tell you about my epeolatry?
With people around, I can’t witter for too long.
My lust for the books is just too strong!
Slowly, I scud away at the first chance.
And skulk into books, before anyone’s glance.

Contentment latches the door; the silence is profound.
Books, joy and peace all around.
My books leave me spellbound.
Redolence of papers and ink so sound,
It creeps in like ethanol into my mind.
Fragrance of musty papers takes my charge, as it surrounds.

Inside my self is a loquacious place.
Cogent and scrupulous, solving mysteries with authors pace.
Don’t you think that I am a dolt!
It is just that the story, slowly unfolds.

Yes! I feel deeply, I feel fiercely.
Yes! I emend, I recapitulate and iterate.
Yes! I do read and re read.
Yes! I am a book worm and this is my treat.

Spare Me

Hourglass shape—shine!
Eight legs encase her
She is seething for his blood

Leaving him breathless
Enamored, her wily ire
“Let me take you there”

Prickly embracing
Little hearts racing, raging
Small but scrupulous

Enter—seed of fate
Solitary life prevails
Despite love begging

“Ready my children—
Sacrifice your life for them!”
His small thought wavers

“Spare me! Let me li—”
Life fleeting to unfinished
Thought—unfinished thought

SPLASH

the splendor raindrop —
a world of glass
in constant release.
from the kingdom cloud,
falling like a toddler-robin,
landing on an impressed leaf —
it applauds with reverence.
the raindrop swells broad shoulders
and a rainbow sheen.
though it clings, its grip loosens
and once again this parachute
free falls,
with an unburdened soul
landing in a puddle,
suffering the scrupulous squelch
of muddy water
placed at this exact moment
for the splash of ecstatic boots
worn by a preschool child.
the raindrop grins.
