Premium MemberThe Polar Bear King

Polar bear king was the first Santa in Scandinavia back in the day
We never hear about him, for he had some mishaps along the way
Instead of reindeer, he traveled with Arctic bears of white.
They gobbled up the bad kids, and this did not set just right.

This was prior to Krampus, and no one knew about Santa yet.
Polar bears were happy with the Polar bear king, most of them a pet.
The ones who ate up the bad kids would never admit it of course.
But the Polar bear king ended up traveling over the world with a horse.

The horse was not equipped to fly because they did not have magic yet.
The polar bears were angry, for they thought they were his favorite pet.
So it did not work out for the Polar Bear King, and Santa was invented.
The fiasco of the eaten children should have been prevented.

Rollo the Walker

In early medieval France
The age of the Viking prevailed
Arriving off coast of Aquitaine
from Scandinavia sailed

This historic age burnt brightly
In 799 ships arrived
breaching shores destined as Normandy
A norsemans dream contrived

A profile in history of Rollo
A man exiled sword for hire
Of such height and breadth standing well above
The hordes he would come to acquire

Known as Rollo the walker
As no steed could bare his mount
Striding to navigate siege after siege
As history will recount

Normandy land of the North men
Francia would opt to cede
As conditions drawn up over council fires
Complete with mutton and mead

They must embrace the life of Christ
leave that which is Pagan behind
Rollo agreed they could do this yet
there was one thing he did mind

required to kiss the foot of the king
In subjugation to show
He replied to no man will I thus defer
to my honor render such blow

One of his men was instructed
to take this act as his own
Jerking the kings foot up to his mouth
rolling him off of his throne

A hearty laugh was had by all
Except the king of course
by the man who led an army
Without courtesy of a horse

The Russians Are Coming

The Russians are coming

Skiers complain it is too cold, most of them are from the cold country
is the frost in China different than say, Scandinavia?
A newspaper gleefully telling us there fewer spectators this time
then in the Olympic last time, I think this tittle-tattle has to do with
infantile reports looking to throw some China’s way.
The war that didn’t happen and are not going to cover the front
pages of Europe, one senses they are willing a war against Russia.
Crimea was not annexed by Russia, there was a vote in favour
of being a part of that country, which is natural since most people
living in Crimea are Russians; this is a no brainer.
I so do dislike I. Phones; bills are sent to the phone nothing on paper
my phone is blocked because I let the battery run flat
Now they ask for my code to open the bloody phone who in
their does right mind remember a code?
Meanwhile, the sporting people continue to chase gold in Pequin.

Boby Fatt's Adventure

Boby Fett’s adventures

I used to be a friend of Joseph when he was a bank robber
when he robbed a bank in Tbilisi, I helped him to get away
the money he said was to help his cause.
One can say he owed me a favour, which came in handy.
There was a revolution and Joseph became a president
that was ok, but he became brutal and one evening
when we sat drinking Georgian wine, we had a discussion
I called him a butcher.
I thought I was going to be shot, but since he owed me a favour
I was sent to Siberia with a bag of potatoes.
Luckily, I had a box of matches in my pocket a knife hidden
in my shoe, therefore able to survive to the last potato.
A wandering Sami people with their heard of reindeers on
the way to Scandinavia saved me.
For the Sami tribe, there is no border.
I took my old name back, Harry Finkelstein, a name I had kept
secret from Joseph, my friend from the bank robber days.
I got a job on the Manhattan project keeping tab of screws
needed to make a bomb, the rest is history.

Premium MemberShip's Suicide

In the shadow of the Second World War,
Fuehrer wanted to augment maritime power
and control the waters of the northern oceans.
In the North Sea he proudly set sail Bismarck,
the largest German battleship ever built.

On maiden voyage off the coast of Scandinavia
she got fiercely engaged with the Royal Navy,
heavily damaged, survived the first battle
in the fateful strait of Denmark,
but was totally crippled by later air attack.

She was scuttled by the German navy,
bringing her brief life to an unceremonious end,
as she committed suicide so to say, and sank
to save herself from further ignominy.

Premium MemberCorruption As Lethal As Corona Virus

Corruption and Covid 19 both a virus raiding our planet,
Only socialism works as in Finland in Scandinavia,
Realistically corruption has bankrupted countries, quad tripled poverty
Ruined our God given bountiful earth, brought it to its knees
Utopia that is just a mere word no country has it,
Perhaps Iran and America will go to war and we get caught in the middle,
This corruption has become insane, Russians itching to do the same,
Integration of all colours creeds and nations essential, poor and wealthy alike
Only severe repercussions will result if we don’t take action now,
Nothing seems to erase this filthy greed which has become so obtrusive.

The King of a Snowy Country

The king of a snowy country

the king sat on his throne in his underwear
his wife, the queen, was ironing his uniform.
The ambassador of Mongolia was arriving today
presenting his credential a word that made
the king giggle.
The king of Scandinavia is not well paid and
he has to pay for having a cleaning lady
comes twice a week, the good thing is he gets invited
out often as his presence lends kudos to a party
with plenty of food and wine.
The king sighs, his idiot son, is cycling around the park
dressed in jeans and disturbing the gardener.
The monarch has tried to tell his son he is a crown-prince
and should act with decorum.
The king didn´t want to be a king, a title he inherited
when his father died.
His wife comes in with the uniform he puts it on and
feels quite royal while putting all his medals to his chest.
His wife is going to a hairdresser, the king will open a tin
of sardines for his lunch.

Premium MemberBlue Sky Surprise

In a fluffy blue sky, clouds of Europe revealed
The continent forms, so ghostly surreal
With a boot for Italy, three-fingered Scandinavia
Off the coast lies England, royal isle like Batavia

As the puffy land mass drifts over my head
There Iceland and Greenland, sans glaciers, spread
Out wide to the North -- when startled my heart!

Atlantis appears, right in the sea's part
cartographers ancient told us she lay
~ Then soft floats away, illusion at play...

The Burning

The burning
Let Rome burn, so spake Nero or one of his flunkies
Towns and cities are burning every day in the Middle East
Flames taste not of roasted chestnuts in the Alley
Of peace but the stench of hatred fills the air.
This will continue till the last drop of oil, better still
Until we don`t need petrol for our cars med to the teeth
Yet fearful, it is as it knows the future is lost.
I wonder why so many high ranking officers in the USA have
German surnames, one thinks it is a tradition.
In new wars to come it will be about water- resources.
Look out Scandinavia, so you don`t end up like Libya.

Uk Closed

Winter has returned
snow is on it’s way
everyone concerned
ready for crippling delay,

trains delayed some can’t run
planes are grounded
schools close, kids have fun
Other countries are dumbfounded

our islands not alike the rest
any inclement weather it will close
it’s called beast from the west
just because cold wind blows,

Scandinavia we need answers
how can Britain carry on going
to acquire your country’s standards
until this chilly wind stops blowing.

Odin Hand His Stupid Soldiers

Fascism`s lack of Sanity

They are called Odin`s soldiers
And dress partly alike,
Leather jackets
Short cropped hair
And with an angry, righteous
Expression in white, round faces.
They claim to protect women
But they are just fascist who hates
People not like them.
For people from Syria or elsewhere
Who fled for their life
And often saw their loved ones drown,
Only came to the frozen north
As a last resort.
What people of Scandinavia need is
Intermarriage
To save them from dying drunk in
the snow.

Wonderful Scandinavia

The Liberal Scandinavia

Rich Exiles do not take rubber dinghies
Across the sea, but take the plane
And they are welcomed as
Assets of note
Once upon a time, the Jews had their
Valuables stolen when they try to escape
Now refugees get their assets
Confiscated in the country were
The seek sanctuary
 And relentless propaganda makes us
Hate them because the remind us of our
Lack of empathy
With the people, we should help but will
Not, because of cost,
A few hundred refugees have crossed
From Russia to Norway who are trying
To send them back
How pathetic we are
Telling other countries to show compassion
While we scramble to hide
Behind a wall screaming:” it is our country”
Get lost go back to Syria bloody
Broke foreigners.

Premium MemberA Land of Many Things

Known for one, behind which are many more,
a Land well carved into
geographic abundance and anthropologic history.
A land of majestic fjords and of the midnight sun.
A land possessed by the people of colourful clothings
and known for rearing reindeers.
A land of the troll
both that of the scandanavian folklore
and the largest object ever moved by man.

A land of the “tran” against rickets
and one also full of romance to the brown cheese.
A land greeted with a great history of raiders
but having a landscaped virtually void of castles.
Now a modern terrain
and an advanced pasture of the Scandinavia,
glorified by its topmost position
in the eventful tussles of the winter.

Premium MemberAll Things Norse

Norse things of Scandinavia
offer a perspective, not trivia
of things visible and invisible
which complement each other.

intuition and imagination of things norse
are values of consequence, all endorse
not subjective, are open to interpretation real
visible and invisible seen as a whole, it’s clear.

the invisible sustains the visible of the world
whether good or bad of the senses it twirled
in flesh world the elements merge with divinity
seen with “eye of reverence” sacred is profanity.

prior to today’s world a “Great Abyss” existed
an animating spirit of silence and dark twisted
It was slain by the god brothers Vé, Vili and Odin
who built the visible world from its flesh akin.

“See a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.” By Blake’s hand.
