Run Inside

Hear the cry of begging stop
The evil silence out for blood
A haunted shadow stains our walls

Fear unleashed with hellish force
The crows address their common lord
A hungry feast if the righteous fall.

Say a prayer for your soul
Before the wicked takes it toll.
Unholy Serpent Dark and wild

I know that Terror wants a bride tonight
Ashes to Ashes
what a kiss of sin
Panic is free: the curse of innocence

Premium Member Farwell, My Poetry Soup Fun Run

Farewell Poetry Soup, to my Challenge run
I've surpassed the goal I set to pass someone
and I confess it didn't take very long to do
before becoming addicted, but now I'm through

There's no poetic achievement that I found
in blacking out words of others, round after round
Or in analyzing a poem written by another poet
I'm not a laureate and humbly admit, I know it

So, have it the challenges, you who are gung ho
It was fun for a while but I'm moving on, so...
wheels and magnetic boards for me... no more
I won't comment on poems just to up my score

It was interesting to play for a while but I'm done
Writing poetry I conceive on my own is more fun
Amusing were the known AI users who chose to play
those whose words written without AI are on display

Premium Member The Long Run

My run begins with a gentle jog along a mountain trail~
my breath is easy, my legs are loose,
and the world opens up ahead.

But when the trail tilts upward,
my lungs begin to burn, my heart starts to thud~
yet something in me refuses to stop.

Some days the trail is smooth,
sunlight dappling the ground
like applause.
Other days it’s mud,
tangled roots,
and the sharp surprise of a stone
I never saw coming.

But I keep running,
because the body remembers
what the mind forgets~
that momentum is its own kind of grace.

Somewhere along the way
I discover running isn't about the number of miles,
my speed, or crossing finish lines~
it's about the miracle of moving forward.

Premium Member Room for One

Get a room, size, two metres by one
To avoid an accident you might have to run
following the rush
there's a button to flush
Offloaded, that urgency really wasn't much fun

Premium Member The Beautiful Impossible Motion ...... POTD ......

The beautiful impossible motion,
can we see, feel, touch motion?
No,
we see, feel, touch the results of motion.
Motion stands still,
until we use it.
We humans have no motion until we move,
walking, running, or maybe dancing.
Even weather has no motion,
until it speaks.
The winds blow with motion,
we then see the leaves move.
Everything starts out with no motion,
moving gives motion to the movement.
We can not see, feel or touch motion,
yet we can see, feel, touch motion in action.
What a wonderful impossible thing motion has been.

The Pursuit of Peace

I'm hurting, I'm wounded –
looking for an escape.
This life’s become unbearable –
there's nowhere I feel safe.

If only there was something –
(that) could take away my pain.
I searched for any remedy –
(that might) make me want to stay.

I drink on any antidote –
I'd stitch me up myself.
I'd literally do anything –
to find something that helps.

But I don't have the tools –
nor do I have some type of potion.
The ways, they come and go –
I'm overwhelmed with my emotions.

So, if I were to find something –
that might make me feel sane;
something to bring me peace –
and calm the noise inside my brain.

I'd probably believe it first –
that it were just a dream.
I don't think that I would believe –
that it were what it seemed.

I'd likely think it were a hoax –
just lies coded with glitter.
Not all that glitters is real gold –
so what makes this thing differ?

Don't get me wrong, I'd try it –
I’d risk it all for new found hope.
If there were just the slightest help –
I do anything to cope.

I’ve found an all new low –
is it just me, or am I dying?
I'm running out of options –
so tell me: what else is worth trying?

Truth On The Run

Forever wrong
but never in doubt
Truth on the run
the louder they shout

Facts never matter
they get in the way
With pontification
— the rule of the day

(The New Room: July, 2026)

Verses Eternal

Be in the moment
staying true to yourself
The stigma of others
but a tool in your belt
What trauma inspires
to forever beget
In verses eternal
— to never forget

(The New Room: July, 2026)

Muddy told me ...

“Try to sound like
your bacon
smells

“And keep the
kitchen
close where dwells

“Those words to fry
and sizzle
free

“Your nose
will know
— what eyes deceive”

(Dreamsleep: July, 2026)

I run

I Run

I run.

Sometimes I run fast.
Sometimes I slow down.
But I run.

I run. I run.

I wish I could run all day long.

I run.

In my dreams, I'm always running—flying downhill on mountain trails, leaping over rocks and hills, free with every stride.

Oh, I run.

I even love the climb. The incline strengthens me and is kinder to my knees.

I run through challenges.
I run toward purpose.
I run because it makes me feel alive.

Oh, I run.

And as long as I am able...

I will run.

Premium Member GREYHOUND DOG RUN

Attending a Greyhound Dog race
Blowing dust in my face
Placing a bet
Hoping no regret
The race was about to start
Soon it will be a race of determination as a depart
The gates will soon hound’s maneuver
It will be swift and quick
Chasing an electronic rabbit encouraging them on
Those Hound’s never catch
They are kicking up dust in the wind
The speed using their legs
Every ounce of endurance
The Hound’s going around bends with assurance
Mustering who is the winner to be
Keen eyes like an eagle and wise like an owl
The race will soon come to an end
The victor will be announced
The last stretch
The winner is “BOUNTY”
Best of the best
Champion in cheers
Won my bet
Right choice having no regret.
