there was a vespa parked on road
billy the buffalo had never rode
it was huge hundred pounds
the vespa struggles under the sound
billy's bellow made it sickly plead
for peace against the massive beast
billy started the vespa fast
and horned loud and rode it past
houses looked at it with awe
uncle hari nicked his ear in awe
the dogs of street glared at it
people in their car stopped to see
it raced and raced till it reached the race
"STRONGEST SPORTS CAR WILL RACE"
billy entered the race with vespa
the poor thing almost collapsed hard
yet raced against fierce cars
till it reached the ending point bars
the buffalo got off and took the prize
the human in car watched in demise
the vespa took a final breath
and fell down on the pavement left
billy jumped into the lake
it had won the race for the vespa's sake
Cab door slams.
Midnight bleeds.
Keys jingle like broken dreams.
“The night rider is back,” she sighs.
Beer breath fills that one room.
“Who?” she asks the ceiling.
“Useless woman,” he spits low.
Single bulb shows a man unmade.
Hand rises. Her eyes don’t move,
Fixed like a viper before its prey.
“I won’t back down, John.”
Pot hits floor.
Emptiness reverberates.
Days numbered, he growls.
She stands, it's sure.
Door turns to flag.
In the concrete jungle
I go riding my bike
My tummy rumbles
There’s no food tonight
I’m not ruby rich
Street my playground
Now I’m just a kid
Middle class lost and found
I see Ms Peaches
A well known store thief
In her bag she reaches
A sandwich for me to eat
In return I pay her
With my lemon loyalty
I can be the little bird
Black yelling popo you see
I ride despite the dangers
On my thrift store 10 speed
In my mind I’m a red ranger
Like I saw on classic tv
I fantasize as I ride
One day the moon I’ll see
Handlebars to stars I glide
On my bike I am free

Many lies he could employ.? For he's more

it was autumn and the leaves were everywhere
the bunny rider came out of the skies, without a care
her steed was white with enormously large teeth
and bunny ears that flopped above and beneath
he had a sidekick, his cousin small pink bunny boy
treated him with respect, and yet, he was like a toy
the bunny rider’s hair was flowing, red as the leaves
they flew through the air, next to my steed named Jeeves
Jeeves is a goat, and he could hardly keep up with them.
They are so fast! He lamented. His face was sad and grim.
We can ride along side, they are our friends, I said.
The bunny rider’s hair was maple leaf color, truly red.

not a tenant, but a boundary rider
who patrols the fencelines of your bones.
it asks: Why stitch yourself to anchors
when currents shift beneath the skin?
you feel it—yes—when choices narrow
to a street less map, no fixed address.
then the rider lifts its lantern:
all roads remain. walk one.
Motorcycle tough
Total buff
All leather Wear
Riding through forbidden streets
True warrior thinking no defeat
Gangs can’t beat
Rough Rider warrior man
True fighter
From the streets to the highways
Maneuvering renaissance
Illustrating who I am and meant to be
Assume at will
Mighty and Strong
Independence a come along
Motorcycle ready
Muscles holding steady
Hop on if you dare
Intimidation vow
Spiraling Devil my name
The motorcycle says it all
Powerful and true
Though it’s still partly cloudy in this street
& everybody follows the king’s fleet,
I’m following you to the ends of this world,
where I’ve replaced everything with your word,
I remain elsewhere like the empty plea
because you’re that fire burning inside me.
Though those agencies that create duets seem
to believe that a system employing well over
2, 000, 000 couples with infusions of bright visions
will need certain clearly specified characteristics
with objectives & noting costs to protect the new moon.
You’re that whirlwind blowing everything away,
that’s why in this play, I pray not to be the next prey.
I’m too late this morning & I won’t catch any bus,
though traders in their market won’t understand us.
To them, we’re actors in a tragic-comedy stage.
& we made a bold decision to try out the phage.
Give me your hands for a warmth of touch
& I won’t be in operational form in that skutch.
Give me your mouth for a kiss
when I listen to your coos.
Give me your whole body for burying me completely
when I pledge fealty.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider
Met the Farmer in the Dell
But Bitsy bit the Farmer
And the Farmer's hand would Swell
So the Farmer called his Wife
To the Barn that's in the Dell
Her Foot that wasn't Itsy
Then sent Bitsy straight to Hell
Out of the Shadows...
Into the Light
Out of the Shadows...
Into the Night
Light hides the Shadows...
With all it's Might!
Night rides the Shadows...
With pure Delight!
Who needs to be a rider
racing 'round a track
way back in the crowd
I'm going to lead the pack
who needs to be a loser
spinning on their wheels
or yield pole position
I'm going to lead the field
and wear the yellow jersey
the one who wins your heart
no longer in a supporting role
I'll have the starring part
and if you'll be my leading lady
and I'm your leading man
I'll always be upfront
always in the van
I stood on the isle, winds tearing the veil,
When the Lamb broke seals and Time grew pale—
First came the White, a conqueror proud,
With bow unbent and a crown like cloud.
He rides to conquer, not for peace,
His arrows silent, wars never cease.
A mimic of Christ, but cold in deed,
He plants the lie, he sows the seed.
Then Red did thunder with sword in hand,
To tear all peace from every land.
Blood soaked soil, brother and kin,
He feeds the fire of hate within.
The Black came next with crooked scale,
Measuring grain, but hearts grow frail.
A coin for bread, the poor must choose—
To starve with pride or eat and lose.
And last the Pale, like deathless bone,
Hades followed, cold as stone.
Plague and beast and famine near,
He is the end we always fear.
They ride as judgments, sent from God,
To cleanse the earth with iron rod.
Yet still the Lamb, so meek, so bold—
Holds back the wrath, till all is told.
You ride through shadows, chasing dawn,
But you never saw the storm you spawned.
I’m not the girl you left behind--
I walk the dark with purpose, spine.
Your wheels may spin on borrowed fate,
But I was born to navigate.
I don't chase ghosts or beg for grace;
I set my fire and claim my place.
The night knows me--I wear its name,
Not weeping soft, but burning flame.
No chains to break, no debt to pay--
I forged my freedom, kept the way.
So ride, lone wolf, your distant mile.
I walk in boots, not in denial.
You had your shot, your smoke, your song.
But I’ve been midnight all along.
Authors Notes: poetic response to Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers Band
Baal spent time in the underworld with the lesser gods
Learned how to make man miserable with the weather
Thunderbolts and lightning announced his earthly arrivals
Baal relished in the misery of lost sailors and dying soldiers.
He was a key deity in weather changes and stubbornness.
Thus, he was represented with a bull, ram or thunderbolt
Rider of the clouds some said; they were barely touching Baal’s strength.
He was the quintessential weather god, also, called
God of fertility, which goes along with moon cycles and weather.
