Cheese And Rice
They say 'Elephants and water never forget'
If only people could be the very same way
although sometimes it seems, as if we actually are
the people we haven't seen for many years and the ones
we only seldom see- how can we be sure they're real
when we see them? couldn't they be a memory?
“We don't have very much time to love' regardless of gloves
But that is something which we're supposed to do especially
if we have some glue- it's not written anywhere that we have
to stop at times of either virus or flu
Not to stray but could we have something other than stew?
Nearly any other kind of brew would suffice as would cheese and rice
provided the mice left us some- they're not exactly chums
_Scene: Sonia draws the line_
"Divorce me," she said, "and buy a richer woman."
"Frustrate you more," he replied.
"I've succeeded," she answered back.
"You've been rice hawker, beer parlor..."
"Stop this nonsense!"
Startled and amused by her distruption.
"Is it taxi driving you're supposed to be doing?"
"Look at yourself first."
"Do you have savings? Can you pay bills?"
"You're mad!"
"Don't call me mad.
Less than a month," she said.
"Then be gone."
5 cups of shredded beef
2 cups of caramelized onions
6 T of minced garlic
1 cup of minced green pepper
3/4 cups minced celery
5 cups of sliced mushrooms caramelized
2 cups of mixed provolone and mozzarella
1 teaspoon each of thyme,basil,orgango,,paprika
1 cups of sour cream
2 cups of beef broth
1/4 of nutty brown roux 1/4 of flour+1/4 cup of butter
4 teaspoons of toasted sesame seeds in 5 T of olive oil
2 T of cayeene pepper
10 cups of cooked rice ( 5 cups of white and 5 cups of wild rice)
toast seeds set aside add cayeene to olive oil remove from heat pour over seeds set aside.
sauteeveggies celery, onions,garlic, dset aside, sautee mushrooms remove from pan.
in a sauce pan make roux add broth add sour cream add seeds and cayeene. don't thicken set aside add the cheese.
mix cooked beef and mushrooms and rice in a large bowl
add the sauce and veggies
toss and mix evenly. add to cassorole dish and bake at 360 for 20 minutes.
serve hot and enjoy

Reminiscing, my mind's tongue savors it today.
I wonder what made it taste so good that way.
Could it be that custardy layer near the top?
Every time I start to think of it, I can't stop!
Perhaps, it was the browning of the skin?
Underneath, was it the rice-filled heart within?
Dare I find a recipe and try to make it?
Do you think, Mom's secret, I can only fake it?
I just need a phone booth and a dime.
Next, her number in the sky or a ladder I can climb.
Good heavens! I cede another memory to time.

Y ummy meat like sausage can be used
R ice with seasoning up to you

C ajun seasoning it is taste like the hood

Life these days are beyond expensive
Everyone is just taxed to death
Nothing ever changes
Our government is completely divided
Let just live off of beans and rice
The cost of food is just out-rages
Can’t keep your head above water
Live cheap low as you can go
Not even a dime to spare
Standing in the cold below zero
All of the sacrifice parents make these days
Two jobs, just exhausted to the brink
Living with an empty fridge
We are watched 24/7 under surveillance
Our freedom is lost
Our civil liberties are gone
1776 has vanished
Our very own independence has diminished
Society is crumbling
The world is constantly burning
I rode my first rice burner bike
beyond the wild blue yonder
going solo the only way to go
on a red 50cc Honda
as being part of a bike brotherhood
was never in my repertoire
and moving on in Hawaii
my next was a 650 Yamaha
my last tho' fairly fast
in fact still quite nifty
on the hills of San Francisco
was a black Suzuki 550
if a motorcycle means personal freedom
of the road stretching out ahead
why do so many feel the need
to ride in packs instead?
Cold winter night
Snow on the tree branches covered in white, frost on the leaves cover the covet stone streets..
People of all ages, are gathered in Rice park anxiously awaiting the winter carnival festivities to begin, parades, warm apple cider, hot cocoa delights the senses, enticing the young and old.
Rice Park is a buzz of excitement, ice sculptures meticulously carved out in the cold, the bright winter moon lights up the sky. St Paul is a city of its own, The St Paul Hotel with its glamour lights up the back round, to know St Paul is to visit its famous Rice Park.
Couples both young and old, holding hands as they are dancing in the snow, sipping on their still piping hot drink reliving their first date, stealing a passionate kiss, oh I’m sure their saying, “Never let this night end”.
Rice Park is surely a delight, do come again. I promise the winter snow will keep you in delight.

parties’ preferred meal.
Toothsome and eye-appealing,
cooked in rich red sauce—
spicy and tasty.

korma's a meal with zest
chicken lamb chickpeas or lentils
a dinner for two you do not hurry
allow what you've got to simmer in the pot
for a winner Indian curry
but if I were you whatever you do
don't put Scotch bonnet on it
What they did to tamir rice Cold as ice I'll give some advice Think twice Think thrice An innocent paid the price Which led to his demise This is a matter of black lives Our final goodbyes We look to the sky As we wipe our eyes A burning rage on the inside So then we devise And collect our allies To symbolise To vocalise Our need for you to apologise And recognise Your many lies You televise And improvise A way to criminalise Black lives
