Premium MemberEntertain Them for a While

‘Here come some more of them
        Plenty of little kids too
Time to put on our funny faces
        Entertain them for a while’

‘Chase each other round and round
        Make lots of high-pitched sounds
Swing from vine to vine, almost falling
Miraculous recoveries our signature calling’ ...

Like clowns in a circus, they put on quite a show
Yet what’s in a monkey’s heart, no one really knows

Premium MemberEndearments

I got six endearments in life as far as I could recall
From my pre-school to a working staff of a school

My uncles and aunts called me Darling in Kinder
An apple of their eyes especially to my father

My father gave me a small gold ring engraved, Darling
I won family’s attention by declamation, dancing or singing

When I was in grade school I was very sickly
Despite frailness and vulnerability, I was still happy

For speed recoveries my mom called me, Sunshine
For I was born at sunrise, then finally I felt fine

In high school, I was slim but still looking cute
Some cousins called me Thumbelina - still soothe

Cousin-boys carried all my stuffs while holding my hand
“Let’s go Thumbel!”-caring gestures made me feel grand

When I’ve grown older and found someone
He called me, Sweetheart or Love -- so sweet and fun

I turned into a busy beaver losing time with my love
He surprised me with “Muffin”, so I quitted the job

St Helena

I stayed on this famous island for a little while,
fortress, prison and avant-garde Bonaparte style.
Rigged charm with antiquities slow train,
governors constitution keeping royal patriots vain.
200 years after the mysterious death of the king,
at his grave, I was wondering, ‘You poor little thing’.
Another sort of great Alexander that loves to conquer,
taken on the establishments in crisis that ponder.
Ideals of restless doomed heroes celebrated,
taken war to higher constitution elevated.

St. Helena the wife of Emperor Constantine,
went on to pilgrimage to find the sacred terrain.
Building the church of the Holy Sepulchre,
the place of Christ crucifixions culture.
Priestess of Avalon and patron saint of discoveries,
island of sacred through Christ self recoveries.
Total sovereignty and its dying destiny,
luring fatal admirations penalty.
No escaping from repeating history.

To Wear a Mask Or Not Is the Question

STOP GETTING TESTED!

It only encourages them
To require more testing
When will this government madness end

Cough cough cough

It is giving the government
an excuse to claim something
is happening that is not happening
at the magnitude they say it is happening.
It is all fake news

I mean how many people
Do you know
Who have died
From the china flu?

Cough cough cough

I don’t know anyone personally
That has died
It is all a hoax
By the fake news media

Have you noticed they never talk about
 deaths anymore, just cases?
And they never talk about recoveries.
They just keep adding to numbers they
have been feeding us
 from over 3 months ago!

Cough cough cough

It is all lies
Wake up America
Don’t believe the lies

There is no covid 19
It is just a bad china flu
That the Chinese unleashed
To take down our President
Because he dared to stand up
To the bullies in China

Make America great again
Don’t get tested
And don’t wear a mask

The blood of Jesus
Will protect you always

Premium MemberHurricanes

Hurricane by any name is a dreaded beast
Monster winds guide every turn and twist

Clouds cluster in enormous darker shapes
Heated moisture dominates form they take

Dressed in cloudy eye-wall winds rotate
High gusting speeds foretell its arrival date

As eye of the storm approaches a landfall
Communities begin making evacuation calls

Stocking food and water families buckle down
Gas lines form as people begin to leave town

Death and destruction mount as storm lands
Streets and homes quickly become wetlands

Emergency shelters crowd beyond capacity
FEMA takes charge with speed and tenacity

Congress passes legislation to grant funding
Affected folks are unsure of their standing

Trash piles up burying childhood memories
Cleanup begins without hope of recoveries

Donations flow to charities like Red Cross
Insurance may recoup some of storm loss

They arrive sequentially in alphabet names
Leaving untold shattered lives in their wake

Orlando

Rainbow flags and Pride
are slim protection against
hate and machine guns.

[May the deceased rest in peace and the injured and bereaved have swift recoveries. This hatred must be better combated, or be better managed by those supposed to be protecting us. This could have happened to anyone. Groups that influence losers in society should be better monitored, both here and abroad.]

Ticking

I hear the ticking of my mortality.
Like a moth ensnared in spider silk
I long for days of my mother's milk.
Accidents and recoveries
every day I witness
disastrous things
Bugs squashed under size nine shoes
Nike stamped on everything
a church and mass murder
Never heard of tornadoes
wiping out heaven
till I saw the news today.
blue skies fade.
I search for sunrays
blinded by better days
quoting the Bible
living in the end days
Did you hear it?
That ticking?
A gun hammer clicking
Handcuffs stiffening
A gavel cracking
A jail door clanking
A casket closed
enough is enough
God's got it rough.

Parrotman

PARROTMAN
Jack Kelly

The parrot proudly perched
On the branch outside her cage
As she sang her song of freedom
As she danced upon her stage.

And all who passed did marvel
At the sounds she did expel
At the beauty of her pagentry
And the story she did tell.

But when she finished singing
Her keeper hooked her chain
Her eyes soon filled with sorrow
Her face soon filled with shame.

And I couldn’t help but wonder
I couldn’t help but guess
At why she didn’t fly away
Why she settled for less.

But then I saw a mirror
Reflections of my past
The treatment centers I’d walked into
The recoveries that didn’t last.

T’was then that I remembered
T’was then that I recalled

The boundaries of a cage
Are more secure than freedom’s call.

Call To Worship

************

To pick-up and to receive
In the Anointment
A moment of the
        Mind's Eye
By His goodness
And by His grace
      ------
A second with
             > GOD <
      ------
Ties' a wonder thing
For which we long await...
A dream' come true..
For Me and You
      ------
A blessing from the Lord
A gift from all time'
To dwell with-in His favor
Beyond the Most Holy
           And truly..
The most Divine
      ------
To fellowship with GOD
The recoveries' of the BLESSINGS'
      That He should bring
      ------
The mere Act of His touch
That is not a breech of Reality
But, a COVENANT that which
          We need so much
To be in touch with Jesus
And to Thee, to be, Amen
          Amen

Smokey Lungs

Crackling Breathing
Wheezing black lungs
Toxins are seething
Tar parked among
Stubbornly apparent
Selfishly coherent
Still boldly smoking away

Stunningly idiotic
Inhalingly hypnotic
Ground Breaking Discoveries
Show less lung recoveries
Generations of addiction
Some have permanent affliction
They need inhalers today

Grippingly enthralling
People continue falling
Drug dealers are victorious
Selling drugs unglorious
Getting away with lawlessness
Covering up their flawlessness
Some smokers will never change

Guiltily societies hide
Gropingly searching for pride
Science blindly leading the blind
Legally no guideline is kind
Cancer seems ignored today
Smoking lungs expel away
Destroying life’s hope… is strange~
