My heart roams this wild landscape
in search of a vanished childhood.
I had last seen her walking along this
sandy loam path that cuts between
two pines. There she walked farther
up to the clearing now overgrown
with poison oak. Thistle had not
snagged her gauzy skirt in those
days of childhood wonder. Deer
tracks were recognizable, and scrub
jay feathers were to be found and
tucked into skirt pockets. But now,
even as smoke clouds the horizon,
I find only the rust of pine cones,
a half-eaten bird, and a snake that
choked and died on another
snake's head.

The most recognizable album cover in history, the photo of the
Beatles crossing Abbey Road, taken in the summer of sixty nine,
fifteen minutes before noon on August eight to be précised.
An iconic album cover for the image resonated with the fans.
There are wall posters of this photo and it seems men, my age,
in music industry have one in their living rooms or studios.
The photograph of the most influential band in the world walking
on a zebra crossing became one of the most imitated of all time.
I am one of those who imitated it five months ago, 19 of October
at eleven fifty in the morning, when we had photos taken crossing
Abbey Road, amidst a busy road in northwest London in St. John’s Wood
in the city of Westminster, outside Abbey Road Studios, formerly EMI.
We crossed Abbey Road in single file with me leading, followed by my
daughter and my granddaughter with our fourth person, my grandson
taking the pictures so he was not included, kind of disappointing.
How I wish we were there on October 9, John Lennon and my birthday.
I've been known to fabricate entire planets,
crafting layers of reality like a masquerade ball.
Perhaps the greatest secret I hold of all,
is that there's no clear distinction to the eye,
between my art and my life,
only a thine blurred linen
where pandemonium of existence bites,
congeals into something recognizable.
But don't quote me on that;
I change my mind with the changing tides.

Through the mysterious
Open doors with no locks nor keys
Not a place
Not recognizable
Not an event
The Enter is too nowhere
Far out within
Once you Enter, there is no way out
You have arrived
Can’t get out
Can’t yell for help, the walls are enforced against sound
All you can do is move about
Mind wonders
Eyes wanders
Nowhere through never was
Stumbled on something you never knew
Your curiosity wants to learn more
You know no more than you know now
You entered the portal of nowhere
Go through
Entered Trap
Caught and always will remain
Nowhere forever
Enter keep
Never to return

he had a petulance for utilizing emphatic pointillistic brush strokes
van Gogh danced to his own flute, giving away all of his worldly goods
“they think I am a mad man because I wanted to be a true Christian”.
He had an up and down life, but his downs were deeper than most.
His paintings, signed Vincent, exhibit a madness that exudes a rare brilliance.
He was an artist who threw his feelings into every canvas he painted.
An artist who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, unfortunately.
Born poor without schooling, Coco Chanel learned to sing in a cabaret
She learned to sew and became an influential fashion designer in France
Known for popularizing sporty, chic, casual items as feminine standard
Her monogram of interlocking C’s is recognizable to this day
Coco was a prolific designer, first one named by Time as influential
Her jewelry, handbags, hats, sweaters, are all stamped with her monogram
She has left an empire for other designers to strive to work for.
Her fragrance Chanel Number 5 is known as daring and jaunty like her
