Reboot

Reboot
Floppy disk
Magnetic storage medium
A new chapter
Be open minded
Impossible dreams
Move on from your old ways
Reboot
A new harvest
Quenching thirst
New horizons
Recharge
Restore
New beginnings
New ways
Many blessings
A new season
Unexpected change
Planet seeds take root
Reboot
Start believing
The nets are breaking

Reboot

I had a little heart attack
It really hurt like hell

Have gone to hearth and home of kin
Untill such time as well

In quiet peace I meditate
On choices I have made

That brought me to this leg of life
A juncture never bade

A good friend on this platform
On comment did forwarn

I wish that I had took to heart(no pun intended)
When he first sound the horn

Instead I thought no never me
No way it could apply

Timothy you tried my friend
On your council I Should have rely

All's not lost Just a major reboot
The doc here says I'll be better than ever

Already I have more energy
Than I can recall whenever

So........ Handle your stress
Your diet address ,check out a doctor Ford Brewer

Unless you want to find yourself
In the midst of a health crisis sewer

All my best, keep me in your prayers
as all of you are in mine

Untill then be smart,and safe
Sage advice may your ears incline

Premium MemberMemory Reboot

If I were to ever suffer of a deep amnesia,
In your presence I would remember, with my synesthesia,
All our memories flashing back: "Memory Reboot" in my mind.

Rain Day Call Out

Staying in the bed today
Not getting up at all
Except to get accoutrements
Or answer nature's call

It's not that I'm running
From life
No cover pulled
Over my head

The rain drumming
On the roof
I just woke up
decided and said

I'm staying put
In my comfy nest
Read books,watch movies
just get some rest

Not escaping
but embracing life
As a steaming mug
I hoist

Giving in to
The hearts desire
Giving wants
A voice

Yep staying in
this cozy cocoon
all the
Live long day

 Maybe calling up
An old friend
See what they have
to say

No places to go
Or people to see
It's staying in
The bed for me

Premium MemberLet Us Reboot

Let us reboot, tremors subtle
Of foreign origin
Give each dark fear a rebuttal
Let our heart be virgin

Vibrant is love’s presence
Blissful is soul essence
Innate luminescence

Thoughts in pursuit
Let us reboot

Reboot

Born to create, deceived to consume.
We think we are so royal and grand.
Brilliant and creative we do assume.
In truth a wasteland, at best secondhand.

We repeat what has already been had.
Or simply change what someone else has made.
Then stand proud as if an olympiad.
And continue this creative charade.

Remove for one day or even a week
the music and screens to which we are chained.
And you’ll crave distraction an empty soul seeks.
the stimulus that keeps us entertained.

You will loath after just three days alone
those worn out tapes still playing in your head.
That whistle you’ll bemoan as monotone.
And crave anything new that can be said.

Around day 4 you will soon realize
Your inability to just create.
A single original thought give rise,
With your mind so addicted to click bait.

In solitude I am humbled to see,
My peace rests on that which is external,
Rather than what’s been placed deep inside me.
Where a still small voice speaks the eternal.

Like a computer that needs a reboot
We have to unplug and turn off the noise.
Wake up your self ready to execute,
A masterpiece, which robot life destroys.

A brother's blood cried from the ground,
Yet spared was Cain, in route to Nod.
But Lamech multiplied revenge,
Intended evil before God.

The Nephilim roamed all the earth:
The mighty men, men of renown.
The human heart, no longer good,
Forever spiraled, always down.

And so, in time, the rains began:
A deluge, not a little drip.
God, it seems, had lost his patience;
Time to right this little ship.

Only Noah found his favor,
Only Noah, in his eyes.
Thus the flood, Creation's reboot;
One small family, all else, dies.

(from Genesis 6)

The Ex

You set me up for failure
Than ask me why I didn't do anything right
You said you'd love me forever
Even though you left right in my sight

You were my person
My strong suit
You were just a heavy burden
My life just ended up being a reboot

A reboot without your love
A reboot with another guy
Someone who shows me real love
When all you have left is to say good by

Mugabe's Reboot

"Return of another Goliath, is it?"
Of Course the man was fearless
But time always decides when
Every great man shalt cease to inhale,
Run away from us and
Turn into an angel

Much cherished was the way that he
Undeniably handled affairs to do with peace and stability
Gabriel was a man of Charisma and
Action was his daily routine
But the giant is no more
Every Tom and Magufuli of this world shall remember you, Bob!

Right from the beginning of the Zimbabwean journey
One and all had beheld that you are the appropriate leader
Because of the way you thought about real issues
Even the way you addressed pertinent issues!
Ringing in your heart was the bell
That told you to act not like a Robot
     (But a real Robert)

Muromo wenyu rwaive rwizi rwemashoko ehuchenjeri
Uyo neuyo ainwa ainzwa iri nhapitapi
Gare-gare nguva ndiyo go tisingafungire
Aiwa, vadzimu vadana
Baba tinoti zororai mumasimba
Enyu mashoko, haachazofi akafa

For the founding father of Zimbabwe, Robert Gabriel Mugabe. May your soul rest in power.

Time To Reboot

My hard drive has been wiped clean

It's time to rebuild my dream

Before my world shattered

You were all that really mattered

Finally I see how beautiful life can be

Now that I set you free

We promised to stay together until the end

But now it's just me and my friends

I used to be quiet and shy like a mouse

But in the divorce I got the house

Court fees cost a lot of loot

But now it's over I can finally reboot

Now when I look out the window pane

Nothing appears the same

Sometimes we need to shut our system down

To finally lose the frown

So glad there's no more drama

For now I'll wait for karma

A blank disk in my CD ROM

Time to create new memories and move on

Reboot

From where I stand
leaning
which way up
patches of blue
or jewelled black vertigo
bring me back to earth
and heaven is still here
Untrustworthy planks of mentality wobble
loose chemical nails
and windows rattle
in the human eddies
Time to back up
clean the head
reboot
save the screen
recalibrate
sleep
