Pressing a ball,
Will make it small.
Do not let someone fall
It is not a smart goal.
If you press a ball,
By exerting some force
The ball goes down,
We cannot make it round.
Putting someone down,
Does not give you crown
It can give depression
To the people around.
It creates fuss,
It disperses us.
Don't press someone
In your discussion,
Do not hurt them
Mentally or physically,
Sentimentally or orally.
Help others in need,
Offer kindness proactively.

On a sunny day
Right in my parlour
Laying on the couch
I was going through my phone
Then I paused for a moment
Because of the sound of our wall clock.
The time keeps ticking
Every second
You see how busy nature is
Why sitting without labouring?
Don't choose comfort
At the age of labour
Then you gonna labour
At the age of comfort.
If you don't roll the dice
You won't see the outcome
If you don't pay the price
You won't get it or there
Time waits for nobody
But there's time for everyone
That's putting in the work.

I ordered a free-standing cabinet,
Despite having known in advance
It needed to be
Put together by me
And my husband, who viewed it askance.
All the pieces were labeled quite clearly,
As was each tiny bag filled with screws,
So we read the brochure,
Not quite feeling secure,
Yet we thought we had nothing to lose.
As we struggled to follow instructions,
Which had steps listed 1 up to 10,
We repeated our vow
That we’d finish this now
But we never would do it again.
At the end, just a couple of hours
Was the time that it took to complete.
Still, it wasn’t much fun,
Though once it was all done,
I felt proud we’d not bowed to defeat.

The dogs are unfettered in this pen
It’s big enough for an army of a hundred and ten
No one has to wear a leash or be tied
The yard is long, the pen is wide
Still, I feel guilty leaving them here
Why this is, is in no way clear
They are safe here, they cannot chase cars
Yet leaving them here gives me anguish and scars
I have no idea why I feel this way
But I sit in the pen with them every day
This silly guilt I probably should not have
Yet I sit here, stone-faced, feeling bad.

I gather my fragments like stars in the night,
Each shard holds a memory, dimmed but still bright.
Some pieces I cherish, some I let go—
The weight of their presence is no longer in tow.
With patience and purpose, I forge something new,
Not quite what I was, but steadfast and true.
Each crack tells a story of falling and rise,
Each mend makes me stronger, each break makes me wise.
My edges are different, some smooth and some raw,
But this is my beauty, my strength, and my law:
That breaking is not the ending, but chance to begin—
To build something stronger from all that has been.

When you throw things into a storage shed
You are spending money on rent every month
Sometimes for years
Finally, you decide to look the stuff over
None of this was anything you should have kept or paid rent on
At one time we had three storage lockers in three states
It took me three weeks to clean them out
What I decided to keep fit into a small purse

Another drop of wine,
it’ll mask my recent crime
To find peace in the smoke
helps replace the things I’ve broke
To enter into his bed
paves an exit from my head
A mirror on the wall,
highlighting the tragedy of it all
The tightening grip,
running down to my hips
The water from my eyes
birthed from the darkest of skies
Whispers in the night that you never forget
like the sun at its rise and at its set
Feet on the ground but you’re not really here
and who’ll be there at the return to hold you, dear?
Conversations with people I never even knew
they give you their reasons, yet none ring true
Who's to say you’ve tried your best
if it’s only you with the keys to your secret treasure chest?

September 10 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 37-39
Key Verse – Ezekiel 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR PUTTING BREATH IN US
Praise be to God for putting breath in us to:
Redeem us by His grace along His mercy
Refresh us with His goodness and might
Restore us toward His guarded molding
Revitalize us against grievous misery
Revive us for grand ministry
Ezekiel 38:23 Praise be to the Lord for magnifying Himself:
Manifesting His majesty and magnificence
Melting our masks of mythical mentality
Mentoring over our mobility’s motives
Mounting toward His miracles
Monitoring our morality
Ezekiel 39:13 Praise be to the Saviour for
inspiring us to glorify Him against:
Polluting problems
Prideful perversions
Propelling powerlessness
Purposefulness’ proddings
Preferences presenting no peace. Amen!

This girl treats me like a toy to a child
Worshipped like gold then I'm just ignored for a while
Most guys create trust issues like crushed tissues
Got these girls bawling all the time so scared of being used

If the LORD is my Lamb
I'll shepherd Him back
To a world that has lost Him from their sight
as we've often sunbathed and sailed without giving Him a thought
He streams Mercy into our souls
taking away the sins of the world
for He's the Lamb of God
I walk with Him through the valley of the shadow of death
journeying with His Way of the Cross, same difference
His Cross comforts me because He takes our place to redeem us
He instituted the Last Supper table for all generations
hidden in a world that finds His "Real Presence" hard to accept
another healing Presence is felt through anointing our heads with oil
even little St. Therese knew any sized cup will overflow abundantly, like a soul
God is so good and merciful and His Divine rays chase me
I witness to His Light, penetrating my heart on my darkest days
even though I was never accepted into convent residency
I seek a lifelong good standing with the Church, united to Him beyond the end

I step out into the evening,
into a cloud of whispered conversations,
insect talk, birds uttering
their “goodnights” high in the trees,
the days last gossip settling
back into a more respectable
muttering of leaves.
Then other sounds,
a child’s cry sobbed out
of an open window and then,
two houses along, raised voices
from down a dark passageway
spilling into the street
in angry throbs,
and way off,
clanging railway crossing bells
bridging the distance,
the growl of a truck
changing through its gears
and a siren rasped across
raw nerves, all this
finding a willing instrument
to work the evening
with all of its discordant notes
and sounds, into a single score
for an old busker to belt out
the tune on the steps
of his own front door.

The woman wore her faux fox hat with an air of elegance and pride
I am used to real furs, my daddy is a dealer, and he shows me each hide
She acts with a touch of snobbery, which I think is totally amusing
If she could see animals turned into pelts, her vanity would be confusing.

We put it all down
drifting lightly over the faceless,
those days between joy and doom.
Looms the write
seeking to thread a life
through a needle.
The print not ink, nor blood,
but only a lip-reading
of the hours.
Events are picked
like ripe or dangerous fruit,
the dull stays stored
in moldering boxes, or nailed
into the escutcheons of rusting locks.
The specificity of a moment
is given a greater gravity than it ever had,
yet we put it down
fasten it to strings of sounds
and then extoll or deplore
once more.

Another word for exaggeration is hyperbole
One word is fine, so why did we need two?
I don’t know, seems utterly redundant to me
Not being an etymologist, I haven’t a clue.
One for common folks, the other for the elite?
Seems someone couldn’t agree, and that’s fine,
I’ll settle for exaggeration, a word that’s neat
Hyperbole ... if I’m trying to show my behind.
