Heart Rate, Pulse Rate, Blood Pressure

Heart Rate, Pulse Rate, Blood Pressure

My heart rate, my
pulse rate, my
blood pressure admit
now and then of
a little gossip about
local trollops.

A stroll in the garden - Haikus

sits a little swift
amidst violet flowers ~
flying bud on tied fly

mesmerizing tune
in the midst of blaring horns~
magpie Robin sings

long train swiftly moves
without a loco pilot~
trail of busy ants

engrossing odor
nearby sewage mess reek~
pure white flowers bloom

a pleasant moment
in the mid of worldly stress~
birds relishing pool

a rainbow springs up
in the monotonous life~
colorful flowers bloom

my plain flat pulse rate
embraces bright buoyancy~
perky squirrels roam

colorful jewels
walks around the fallen leaves~
cute centipede crawls

a bright beaming mouth
amid the slanderous words~
divine dawn Chorus

true hope emanates
even after failures hit~
a barren tree sprouts

a joyful write up
amidst the arousing thoughts~
stroll in my garden

Premium Member In the Sixties

  In the sixties I went to university
    where I experienced much diversity

  For example, among fraternities
    mine went from ‘Kegs-a-Tappin’
    to ‘Pills-a-Poppin’
     ~ LSD, we were a-droppin’

  Athletics were a big deal too
    freshman year we were football champs
    senior year, listened to Led Zeppelin’s mega-amps

  Then there was good old politickin’
    After Kent State life was great
    Semester cancelled, May 14 the date…
  To let us work for our 'favorite candidate'
    Mine wore 6-inch heels, raised my pulse rate…

  Oh, I learned a whole lot in school
    ~ mostly, how to break the rules

Premium Member Main Attraction

Magnetic field not on display
Attraction like a cabaret
Resonates across the room
All five senses in full bloom

Temperatures internal rise
When a line is drawn with eyes
To lock in sight for me does turn
A spark into a full blown burn

It only takes a second too
There's no one else who does but you
My pulse rate pounds a beat in 4
64th notes, wanting more

Premium Member Waltzing Words

This tale is spilled via wrought emotion.
To the drumming of a waltzing pulse rate.
With wonderment of time, and commotion.
This tale is spilled via wrought emotion.
Where we soft land in a cryptic diction.
Words are taking shape, for the needy fate.
This tale is spilled via wrought emotion.
To the drumming of a waltzing pulse rate.

Premium Member I'M Allegic To Upset

I'm allergic to upset.
Can't figure what it serves.
My temper flares, my pulse rate soars,
And messes with my nerves.

I'm allergic to upset.
Can't see what good it brings.
It ties my stomach up in knots,
And 'round my gills I'm green.

Today I won't get upset.
Won't let in chagrin.
I'll deal with all things as they come,
And strive for peace within.

Vital Signs

To E.M.T.’s a vital sign
Is something they can measure –
Your pressure, pulse rate, temperature –
Not data we can treasure.

But I would add one to the list
That I believe’s worthwhile;
To me, the most important sign
Has got to be the smile.

For when we’re feeling happy –
With no sickness, grief or stress,
Our face reflects that knowledge
With a grin we can’t suppress.

It isn’t fair that joy is something
Life cannot entitle
Yet I would say it manifests
In signs that sure seem vital.

Premium Member Surreal Pulse Rate

From a gem-encrusted window’s moonlit sash,
I peer vacantly on monetesque impressions,
 as they wander every ink shade hue pathway.
bag lady street hail loner,
water colour lachrymose plight,
 across the spillway nights-cape,
cul-de-sac of shadow flitting,
 sprites begging  to be daubed,
 on some genie artist’s  easel.
surreal  urban pulse rate ,
spooky  ghost form atom charge,
 of  tomb laden solemness,
sodden eerie platform where,
 my silver bob tail auntie,
 booked her tickets to southern rustic idylls.
she sang of autumn sunset blight,
its wan perusal o’er moisture ashen realm.
her final year on earth evoked dichotomy,
 defying dissertation on that grey stone bridge,
between a luminous parade of diamond,
 glitter and mirrorball municipal,
sandwich filler to that lamb,
 of many bleats amid lush pastures,.
blossom facial hyacinth relation,
 who once did eyelash blink,
 those natural world Edens flowing,
 thru her lyric laden pysche.
Alas that end of term eviction,
lifespan tenure landlord surreptitious,
 in their reach cast a mural,
 strain upon this tower block,
 mythic folklore woman

Talk To Me

Have a conversation with me

Without the scent of last night's

wine in your breath,

Remove your spectacles of prejudice

before we begin to speak,

Let me not have to

mull over every word

Before they escape my lips,

Respond to my words

not to your screwed up thoughts

about me,

Talk to me

with your pulse rate below eighty

Pluck not words from my mouth

I never meant to release.

Premium Member Passion Without Rein

Let us chase each other‘s urge on scalding heaths,
Like ponies on the gallop without rein,
A deep seat harness cast into oblivion in the spurt to sea green passion‘s cosmic haze.
Equidistant red clouds now they
ripple at the thought of sensual hearts with pine ablaze.
Soaring pulse rate lodger
on the snoop of citrus rue.
Plume of lilac giggles scare the awestruck azure perch bird whose mating patterns seem like beaky pecks.
Homing pigeon instinct gets the better of our maple leaf alliance as we wade through vapid marshes at the foot of Alum-kuh

NB Alum- kuh is escarpment in Iran
Pine as human need

By Love's Right

I wonder how my minding heart contains
The flow of sick love caused by thoughts of you
When space fist length it is shaped to remain
With rooms designed to cherish only few.

How did you managed for center you reached
Breaking divisions, hindering new claims-
To enter my control freedom you ditched
Then replaced the blood running thru my veins.

By love's right, a mechanic you become,
The pulse rate signaling I'm still alive,
A warmth melting liquids for priceless sum
Sending me nerves of unexpected vibes.

With circulatory system combined
My source of life- you own your heart and mine.

Premium Member Good Day Greetings

Good morning! Wake up now… greet this day with joyous wow
God is good --- to Him, bow; trust His heart, He knows how!

Get up now, today’s great… exercise; check pulse-rate
Be well-fit midst health’s state; don’t get caught in sleep’s bait!

Enjoy life, keep glowing; with faith’s work, go sowing
Win God’s smile in doing; help others; grace, showing!

Lose not hope; stand up strong; choose to love; right the wrong
Worship God; sing praise song with true friends you belong!

From downfall, you arise; call to God with your cries
His answers of surprise cheer you up from pain-tries!

Continue with God’s might... pressing on upward height
Ever pray; show your plight, thank always His bright light!

Stay faithful, God’s servant; He blesses with grand grant
Providing need and want, making you triumphant!

It Was Love

Juvenile the age
We got together;
Nature drew us by means
Of attraction, allurement, touch;
Got closer and closer,
And finally cohered;
Yet far from 'love',
Dreamed together live for life;
We were sexy for each other,
Quenching lust was our aim;
Don't blame none,
As was nature's law,
Enticing us to bring new life;
When kids were born,
We lived for them,
And only kids in mind;
Yet slowly slowly
In heading ripe age,
Without our notice,
Tender yearn evolving 'love';
Sunder was painful,
Togetherness was all;
She lived for me,
I lived for her;
Her feelings mine,
And my feelings hers;
It was 'love',
She knew my taste,
And I knew hers;
Tone of our pulse rate,
Was in same tune;
It was 'love',
Evolved from body to soul;
