Premium MemberHumpty Dumpty and His Cherished Wall

Humpty Dumpty felt used and broken.
This feeling had hit him all at once.
After he fell off his cherished wall.

The brick wall had been infatuated with him for years.
His parents had warned him about this siren’s wiles.
She had enticed and excited his libido.

He had not a whit of a chance to ignore this wall.
She had a slick top, which he discovered the hard way.
He slipped off her almost immediately.

Landing at the feet of his unrequited love.
It was awful. He never felt so broken or so used.
The wall laughed, which made it worse.

Bombs Before Oor Bairns

...And I'm pleading with the powers, yeah the ones who love their state. Where its profits before the marginalised in this strata'd play of fate.

And I'm screaming at the mongers, selling a malingerers parade. Where its bombs before "oor" bairns in this warhorsed "social" state.

First past the Post... Equities of disease..
Living wage infractions..
Become this bourgeois wet dream...

Carnivorous cancers...
Form Vito's of class.
Still the price of a pound...
See's who's first and fears who's last…

Premium MemberAphorisms

Does your conniption fit?

If it's not a laughing matter, then it's not important.

Did you ever notice that when you stir a glass of something, the spoon says, "Jibiddy jibiddy jibiddy jibiddy"?

Worst first name of anyone I ever met: Schmedroy.

Rake

Need to rake, rake the underbrush
where fallen leaves begin to blow and rush
across the forest floors in flutters
or lay thick piled in the gutters.
Where is that rake with its steel spikes
ready and able to eradicate the flight
of leaves piled deep and high
racing along the horizontal land and sky.
Rake, rake, rake
give that deciduous tree a sturdy shake
until every leaf has fallen down
and the forest lay silent without a sound.
Along the paths, just at the edge
we need to rake the leaves beneath the hedge,
 blow and mulch this undergrowth
until it's cleared with every stroke.
Is that okay,
to do it in the winds of autumns play
with fires in the distant sky
 threatening woodland creatures, human lives?
Finland didn't know
they had the answer for this devastating show
 of Californians worst historic tragedies
that brought most every empathetic dreamer to their knees.

Premium MemberMore Moore a Structured Prose Phrasis

Silence
Light is speech. the mind
an enchanting thing
picking and choosing.
Our past becomes present
consequences.
Modesty may,might nay must
overcome envy.
Retreat propriety,
rescued by the disposition of angels
in pedantic literalism.
A distrust of merits, style &connoisseurs.
prisnmatic colours,hyphens &lines.
Nonchalance,in lieu
efforts of affection ,interacting with
apparations of splendour.

Inspired by the works of Marianne Moore

Premium MemberAnnoying Game

ANNOYING GAME

Annoying Game
Cheers
quite annoying
voices mutter
quiet chatter
huddled in confusion

Boring broadcasters
feigns excitement
children watching
not so mellow drama

The curse preventing
Felix the cat's first act
more chatter accompanies
horrible organ music.

Resounding cheers
Greeks speaks
plays called.
"he walks the bases "
on cleats.

Dinner is served
on T.V. trays
Uncle does not move
He sits on the throne
commandeering black
and white screens
with rabbit ears.

I wait for the final cheers
Of the win, Yes, It’s over
or the Boo's for losers
Baseball, way to ruin
a child's summer.!

Opposites Attract

Full of hot air
Cool to the touch
Want to jump up and scream
Why don't you use silence as the golden rule
and sit down
Want to go left
But rights the only right away
Want to paint the town in grey
Who needs colour anyway
You find yourself higher than a kite
But than again as lower than a slug
Broken brain
Fix with glue
Filling your pockets with change
Just to find out that everything stayed the same
Red with anger
Green with envy
Let the darkness foreshadow your thinking
Lights to bright
No ideas
To racing thoughts
Walk up right
Run away
Who needs circles when you can have squares
Seniors and babies are the same
except for age, wear diapers, eat soft foods and have no teeth

Premium MemberAnd If Elected

Ladies and gentlemen; in this
time of political upheaval and
uncertainty, we must never
forget those things which seem
to be forgotten. Those things
that only we can remember.
The things that our forefathers
remembered, and never forgot.
Remembering what it took to
never forget, and not forgetting
the thoughts that no one
seems to remember anymore.
Keeping in mind the main thing
that slips from others
memories, and not forgetting
all those forgotten things that
everyone else seems to forget
about. We must hold dear the
cherished memories that the
masses cant remember, and
remain steadfast in
remembering our ancestors
forgotten mindsets that will
always remind us to never
forget. And in closing I would
like to say that I hope that I
will never fail to remember the
forgotten thought that brought
me to this conclusion. If we as
a people fail to remember what
no one ever thought of, our
future generations will never
know what we didn’t think of.

Premium MemberNarcissism Exposed

One person sees too many photos on FB and says..."narcissism". Another one sees the same photos and says...."an attempt to cover pain caused by self loathing". One person sees a photo and says..."indecent". Another sees the same photo and says..."a cover up for rejected love". One person sees a photo and says..."attention gimmick" another sees the photo and says...."the face of loneliness". God...bless the latter and give wisdom to the former!

Premium MemberHe Fought His Way Back

The country picked the winner;
     Fifty percentage where displeasure
We fought the battle and we won
We knew within our heart, he was the right one

The choices, the excuses, the misses,
   Mishaps and misfortune
Hurricane, Sandy might or might not help Obama win
However, not tonight we held each other
And whisper we did it; and we did it again

Left wing, Right wing the views from the politic world
Conservative vs. Liberal beliefs do we really care
  Knowing what we know today.
The people, the lines and the togetherness
Made it worthwhile to cast those ballots

The clocks where going round and round
Thousands of clicks our votes count up
                                                        Not down
His words the journey have been long
However, he fought his way back,
                           Now it all work
                             Jack! All work, Jack!

A Little Bit of Gloss

With a little bit of gloss
They are gods to those
Fooled by the pronunciation
Of a word
Or expensive clothes
Fit for a social king

How fickle are we
When a man's worth is
Akin to his accent
And the vintage he drinks

Praise to the man that can hide
Himself so well as to not be found
The outside
That covering that hides so much
Outshines the dull overlooked innards
He is but a snake in sheep clothing

Money they say can buy anything
Even those that feign over the king of the hill
Can be fooled by the flashing of the trappings of wealth
But all that glitters can on occasion be less
Than intrinsically gold

The man who can sing a tune that the foolish love
Will have washed himself of all his sins
The praise of his minions his baptism
No harm can be done by him

Cracks in this gloss are evident
But the glamour of the moment
Is enough to blind
We see and hear
What we think is best
The better to digest all this flam
If it is sugared

Those loyal will almost never leave
Or believe that the hype is not real
Praise be to the king of the social hill
Whoever he at the moment may be

Love Ewe and Blue

love ewe and blue

aer rhyming words true
there is always inflection and poor attitude
limits of knowledge above snobbish refrains
trains run on time only in the movies
movies run on time only in a small town
there is very few movies shown on trains
blue can be an attitude blue can be a heart
love you can be used to start a heart apart from you
as you watch the blue southern train depart
from the blue stunted depot with the board walk floor
the little blue conductor yelling all aboard her
as the train takes the love and makes your attitude blue
soup mix tastes so wordy so blue so true and good
with a doubly heaping helping of a love ewe attitude

Zoo Animals

Zoo Animals

 Jubilant Tripoli
Guns in every unsure hand
They call it freedom.
While zoo animals go unfed
A Kaddafi son cared for them.
It doesn’t matter now
Do not prioritize beasts
They are dumb beings
And have nothing to offer
In our blind struggle for freedom
And global capitalism.
So set the camels free to find
Their own oasis; let the lion
Roam the vast hinterland
And the eagle, soar high above
Human’s murderous pursuit.

The Airline Without a Conscience

The friendly skies have become unfriendly
no longer is flying a luxury or heavenly,
taking trips on the iron birds have become a task,
If a traveler makes the wrong move,
he/she may end up wearing a gas mask,
Although some airlines are better than others,
There are those who are unconcionable and
their actions smother, whether one is sick or
laying at death's door, they look the other way
because they are overly consumed with making
more,

Their sense of integrity and trust have been wrapped up
in thinking, such as "Everyone is trying to kill us",
Even those that serve and protect are treated like
nomadic rejects,
The airline without a conscience lacks sensitivity,
All they care about is packing folks like sardines
and exporting them to different countries,
They have left little room for exceptions to the rule,
because if a flier acts up, he/she is subject to a duel.
