Can you see the rain droplets trailing down the window,
Tracing a map to utopia,
We made a promise have you forgotten,
Well so many you couldn't count,
While whispering preety words to me I felt your warmth,
As a single crystal of memories trailing down my cheek,
Tracing a map to paradise,
I had promised to never leave your side but foolish me forgot to take the promise from your side,
Now you are a dust of gold in air,
A fregrance long forgotten,
As I look at the limitless sky,
Still holding on to that promise which fate has rejected,
Which never meant to last.
One gift of life I get to live.
Two eyes so full of dreams.
So many worlds I seek to join.
A single strand to hold the seams.
Childish wishes, wonders of youth,
all dreams would once such mystery be.
You make me see, you make me believe,
love has brought you near to me.
A dream to play the strains of life
to sing a silken serenade.
A dream to capture moments in words
and smile through times of sun and shade
A dream to gallop through fields of green,
to ride in valleys deep.
A dream to see our love through dreams
and give reasons to joyously weep.
A dream to seam our worlds-apart,
for those who look don't see.
A dream to live inside of you
the way you live inside of me.
So many worlds I seek to join
my flame of hope so gleams.
You walk beside and breathe in life
with promise of love to hold my seams.
"Blue is the colour of the shroud I want to be buried with,
If there's a body left to bury.
If not, then just remember me,
Picture me in a blue hue; my soul, you'll see.
My days are closing in, rising in numbers,
Dreams are full of chasing demons now
Where to go, where to flee,
Where do the gods go when they're free!
There are so many voices in my head,
Full of bitterness; some songs, some noises, And some are just pure nuisance.
Violence is a broken promise,
Revenge is an empty one.
But they're still better,
Better in my head,
Better than your promise of forever together;
The bull we always fall for, yeah that one.
No, you weren't there for me in my need
You weren't there beside me,
You were there but I was here, all alone."
The quiet between us settles into light,
a hush that weighs more than any word ever spoken
Your breath leans closer as if to speak my name.
Yet nothing breaks the air, no sound is heard.
A shaking pause:
time loosens its embrace,
the fading light leans in,
holding our hearts in place,
I feel a promise hover on my lips,
a secret tide that sways then slowly slips.
No language superior to this quiet vow,
no music sweeter than the moment now.
The silence bends then deepens into bliss.
The world reawakened within one tender kiss.
And in that silence even stars confess
love grows deepest, when it speaks no excess
I promise I'll love you
Till the end of my life
Not just like anybody
But like my wife
I promise I'll be there
Always by your side
Holding your hand in mine
Forever in my heart you reside
I promise I'll accept you
The way you are
No matter your flaws
Just be as you are
I promise my love
Will never fade away
For you are my love
As forever you'll stay
I promise I'll be loyal
For this is NOT a trial
Just like a diamond
My love remains royal
I promise I'll be your partner
No matter what's our fate
From now and forever
I'll be your true soulmate
They said he couldn't the path was too steep,
But dreams don't belong to the ones who sleep.
With fire in his heart and a storm in his eyes,
He walked through the shadows, aiming for skies.
A man on a mission, his purpose was deep,
A promise to honor, a vow he would keep.
He stumbled and fell, time after time,
Yet rose ever stronger, with resolve sublime.
He faced the giants, the silence, the flame,
Each scar on his soul whispered his name.
Not driven by praise, nor tempted by gold,
But to honour a story that had to be told.
The spirit within him refused to comply,
It shattered all limits and learned how to fly.
No fear in his voice, no tear in his eye
For even the stars were born in the sky.
The past is fiercely orange,
fluent in the language of the sunset.
The promises are vaguely gray
dumped in the expectations of tomorrow.
Not knowing to hope
or just to reflect
the unknown
sprouting in my soul...
The assurance of light
During times dark and desperate
Bestows warmth within freezing cold
Where peace from a storm’s respite
Finds home through dangerous shoals
Guiding your ship on the sea of hope
Finding the port of hearts of gold
I’ll be the winds I promise you
Sweet dreams to blow your way
In early morning I’ll be cool rain
To start each fresh new day
No more memories for me
Not worth the cost to carry
Bright sunny days are all I want
And a moon and I’ll be merry
So, if you hear the thunder crack
And see the sky turn gray
Hold on tight to your loveliness
We’ll be a thousand miles away

oh lord
do
you really
know
who
i
am
just
this
lonely
grain of sand
and
my
fate
rest
in
your
holy hands
oh lord
i
will obey
every word
that
you command
deliver your promise
WITH HOPE AND FAITH IN THE PROMISE
Like roaring rivers flowing under bordering bridges,
Cascading over, under, and around blocking stones,
So must we be as we continue to struggle
Along the freedom road to promise equanimity:-
As we encounter injustice’s walls of opposition,
Let us approach them as remnants of Jericho:
Their fate and destiny, victims of fortitude and integrity,
Of a people with eyes on the prize, plowing on to victory:-
As the millennial sojourn to true freedom continues,
Let’s not be dismayed by the new tactics of injustice,
Modern day political deceit is heaping upon us:
He of warriors, whose faith moved mountains:-
As we continue to plow rows of hope and fate in our sojourn,
Watering seedlings of liberation blooming in this day of struggle,
Let’s be mindful that we are children of the God of the oppressed:
Children promised to come and rule the world with His justice:-
The promise
A friend of mine died, and I had promised to
Take his ashes up to a hill and strew them there
Then make robust love to his wife
His wife sat by his bedside and agreed
We climbed the mountain and gave his ashes to the wind
Then we had lunch at a fine café, talking
about what a great friend he was
Driving to my house, we became a bit silent
In the house, we drank some more, and I knew that
I could not get an ********, nevertheless
We tried to honor his wishes; we failed utterly
She had stomach cramps, and I had no ********
We had both drunk a lot of wine for this
purpose fell asleep
In the morning, we drank coffee, and I drove her
to her house, and we are best friends forever
I think his plan worked
Twirling her fairy skirt,
a lace and pearl dessert.
His eyes hypnotized by
the lace and pearl overt.
Bells on her fingertips,
this lace and pearl concert.
She gives her all to him
in lace and pearl exert.
Her father hides her in
the lace and pearl turret.
But marriage promise
gifts lace and pearl convert.
Twinkling eyes of the groom
splays lace and pearl dessert.
There comes that day, inevitable day
when God will have had enough.
When His promises, humans overstay
hence, He will have his rebuff.
God's covenants come with a consequence
as we humans play the fool.
His forgiveness appraises disobedience;
and He governs with sovereign rule.
Is it selfish to pray, "Lord, Jesus, come
to take your children home"?
Such brings the destruction of earth's kingdom;
yet shall tribulation convert some?
Away with the pretense of our praise;
God knows the song of our hearts,
His justice rolls as the rivers raise,
judgment will stream as His Spirit departs.
She wears rainbows in her almond curls
and paints her eyelids with green swirls.
Her cheeks blush with innocent pearls
Soft as her favourite fruit- strawberries.
Mascara wand in her fingers casts spells on me
her gaze a flicker between play and mystery.
She tangles the bedsheets,
Spills glitter on pillows,
pouts for the mirror,
practices smiles and chuckles
All a rehearsal for the girl she will never be.
Because
Her cradle is still folded like a promise,
she borrows makeup from bags I never packed.
she wears outfits I never choose,
She twirls in mirrors I never hung.
She is my daughter in dreams.
and in dreams they grow like moonlight.
