In spring the thaw begins to creep,
Thin winter’s hold, soon starts to sleep,
Quiet murmuring, slow and deep,
Secrets that rivers rarely keep.
Earth awakes from its desired rest,
Rebirth of lawns and trees redessed,
Soothing breeze greets the tender chest,
Heralding promise to be blessed.
I Am That I Am
Line of inquiry:
“a heartbeat pulsating as living light
free from each and every limitation
I Am that dwelling in unbound delight
the source wherefrom arises creation”
My Poem
I sought Him - In the lows and highs,
In the darkness, in the light
In the warmth of spring,
In the chill of autumn’s breeze
I sought Him - In the joy and the pain
In the sunlight, and the rain
In the wonder of life’s blessings
In the knowledge of each lesson
I sought Him - In the beauty and the fear
In the laughter so sincere
In the song that robin’s sang
In the gentlest winter snowflake
I sought Him - In the knowing and the naïve
In the distance and the familiar
In the quiet and the madness
In the sweetness of a favorite prayer
I sought Him - In the melody of falling leaves
In the silence of imploring grief
In the wonder of echoed praise
In the beauty of heaven’s grace
I sought Him - In the mountains and the seas
In the colors of hope and humility
In the heart who truly believes
In the truth of spiritual empathy
I sought Him
And found Him
When I knew
Wherever I am… God is there, too!
Father, please don't hide sadness.
Your silence breaks my heart.
My mistake caused your pain.
Please forgive your little girl.
I know you fought today.
Because of my childish act.
Neighbors heard angry voices.
Your heart carried every wound.
Balcony holds your lonely tears.
I quietly sit beside you.
Your smile means my world.
Please smile once for me.
Never again I'll hurt you.
Never lower your proud head.
Your values guide my footsteps.
Your love lights every path.
Hold my tiny little hand.
Let me heal your heart.
Forever your grateful daughter.
Forever my beloved father. ??
The greatest power hides
in the plain light of things...
a promise kept
is more valuable than coin,
a kind word
can outshine the day,
a helping hand
makes the heavy load
feel light.
These are the spells
that outlast empires,
the soft enchantments
that outlive the loud ones.
A seed must become a flower to seed again.
The flower too cannot flower without the seed.
Every seed breaks before it blooms.
Every flower dies before it seeds.
The end is only what begins again.
Life keeps its promise by letting go.
Perfect gift for a special one
Not at-random for just any ONE!
An indestructible expression
Of eternal ascension
Rightfully-fitting for loved ones, lovers, or between friends!
Band of eternal circle with neither flaw nor end.
Round and round – no corners to turn
Infinite lessons yet to learn
As all found within one’s circle closer become
To venture hidden corners, still yet to come
Hearts all beat and join as one!
Perfect expression of an infinite love
Between loved ones or friends joined above
Perfect emblem of an unbreakable pact
Contains not any pinching slits
Nor cutting splits
Remaining forever together intact
As strong as the unretractable pact
Or as strong as the forever-binding of a signed-contract,
The Rings are an emblem of Love’s Infinite Eternity
Reaching past and beyond one’s greater destiny…?
The greatest disappointment from broken promises in life I have endured
were the promises I often made to me
Smoking just one example for several years I vowed to refrain
regular three month stints of abstinence once eighteen months
FINALLY! At age of twenty six from this nicotine addiction I had broken free
From thereon, gained strength and now have have conviction
any vow to myself I could confidently keep
I had gained self love and self respect
searched within my soul whilst delving deep
I cannot a recall a broken promise
from any family or friend
Business deals yes. Most promises broken political pre-election
once elected that's where these empty promises all end
For this reason I have abstained from voting
which is compulsory in this country where I dwell
Never had much faith in government oppressors
or the propaganda messages they sell
Have I always kept a promise to all I've come to know?
Probably not. Too many years of living I am unable to recall
I now have conviction arising from self love
to assist others in need, follow through give my very all
Girl, you remind me of yesterday,
I can recall the moment I said my prayer,
Asking God for a better partner in my life,
Luckily, I got one, I hereby call you mine.
Forever is just the start, it's you and me,
The love we share is real, I say lucky we,
Despite our differences, I still get lost in your smile,
For you, my love, I do it all willingly.
It's you, no one else, the reason I'm happy,
I vow to give you happiness and no worries,
Through the days I've known you, you're the best,
As I wish to wake up daily with you next,
I learnt and realised that I'm blessed,
You are my answer, for life is a test,
What more can I ask for when I've got you?
I promise not to look elsewhere....it's you through and through.
You're the seed I've planted deep within my heart,
The one I nurture gently from the very start,
With every sunrise, my love helps you bloom,
And together we'll flourish through every season to come.
It's you, Sal...
Mommy, please don't go away,
I want you here, with me to stay.
My little hand, it needs your touch,
I love you, Mommy, oh so much.
The world feels big, and I feel small,
Without you, Mommy, I might fall.
Your arms are safe, your eyes are kind,
Please, Mommy, leave me behind.
I'll be good, I promise, true,
Just please don't leave-I need you too.
A whisper soft, a secret shared,
To you, my friend, I truly bared.
My heart, my fears, my hidden dreams,
We shared them all, it truly seems.
But then the words, like shattered seeds,
We're planted where they shouldn't be.
My private pain, a public show,
A whispered laugh, a knowing glow.
I turned to you, with tear-filled eyes,
"Did you betray me with these lies?"
You looked away, a force so cold,
" I didn't say it," you bravely told.
My secret's out, my trust is gone,
Left standing here, completely alone.
The friend I knew, a fading gleam,
A broken promise, a shattered dream.
A promise of foreverness
You shared with me our wedding day
From the throes of our Springtime bliss
That bore the offsprings of our love-
Through Summertime maturity,
Love, polished as a sparkling jewel
That grew most brilliant through the Fall-
Alike the brittle, weathered leaves.
Now, in the Winter of our lives,
We stay our balance, hand in hand,
And count the blessings we still share
As the promise of foreverness lives on.
A marriage bond is to keep, not sever,
and yet, I made that sacred promise - twice.
We pledged that we would not part, not ever.
Those words, like lovely music, sounded nice.
Of those unions, just memories survive,
some good, some bad, and some which I hold dear;
and those couplings which fate once did contrive
would slowly and painfully disappear.
In a myth, Charon forever ferried
souls, as always, one special love, now gone
and ghosts of each woman that I married
will ever bitter-sweetly linger on.
A memory, and nothing more - or less,
honors a promise of foreverness.
A promise of foreverness we found
when sensual dreams ask our hearts to yield
and bow before an angel's tender sound
that pours from lover's lips that are unsealed
we'll seek the beauty of our love's desire
obtain spellbound ardor of surrender
as the world fades softly in our fire
our souls find warm kisses soft and tender
this love that stirs our soul will now confess
with gentle sighs that only lovers know
we'll find the voice of yearning we possess
to cause our eyes of love to softly glow
There is no end to love so pure and true
My eternal love I have spent with you
what the future promise?
depends on what one has done
evil for evil; good for good
What does the future promise
that the present does not have
A gentle moon, nights serene
lambent insights, starry scenes
What the present has, the future scorns
possessing what’s not yet born
A glimpse of paradise here on earth
~ if death be infinite worth
