Premium Member I Renamed your Dog Beau

I hope you don’t mind, but I renamed your dog, Beau
This came from a neighborhood girl I just met; name of Flo.
She had escorted my dogs home from a mile away.
How she accomplished this I honestly can say.

My dogs love children, they will follow them anywhere.
If you don’t believe, bring a child here, yes, please do dare….
My dog’s new name is White Marshmallow, he’s an Irish Cream
A retriever of sorts, kind of a powder puff, his bark is quite mean.

Premium Member I Could Sit Here

I Could Sit Here”

I could walk along this sandy shore.
Crashing waves to and fro.
Sandpipers chirping,
Seagulls circling,
White sails sailing.
I could sit here for a while.

I could hike this rocky trail.
Relish the splendor of snowcapped peaks
Bathe in an icy brook
Cast a line without a fly
Bull elk braying in the meadow below
I could sit here for a while

I could lie in this meadow of green,
As Meadowlarks sing their prairie songs.
Powder-puff clouds away up high.
A Light breeze cools my brow.
Golden sunset paints the sky.
I could sit here for a while.

I could swing you to and fro
Watch you glide up to the sky.
Your gleeful laughter makes me high.
You are the sunshine in my eye,
The brightest pearl in my life.
I could sit here for a while.

Premium Member WINTER SONATA

Flakes, like a lady’s gloves,
   gently pulled off
finger by finger,
   one by one,
laid upon her lap.

The lay of land, it’s lap
    of snowy-white
glows in the velvety twilight
of Winter’s hourglass.

Black and white kittens,
   both snowballs of sorts,
in puppy love, whilst
          the stars sparkle, like
a ballroom dance floor,
   shine like waxy-ice.

The flurries, like downy feathers,
                              float,
                                so
                                  slowly.

        Elegance of lovers
with lady-locks and manly beards.
           Kids blink
as they bow and curtsy -
               they always miss
         the snowman show.

Blows the cold cream
                            and powder puff.
Glistening of cracking ice.
   The tracks of high heels
from endless waltz of Winter night,

and the snowlady is warmed by her fox
trot. Chattering of children’s teeth,
like applause - they’ve stayed up
   way too late.
      It’s nearly eight.

Premium Member Beach Therapy

Translucent turquoise tide pools
soft shimmer on the sand,
mirrors for vain seagulls,
bathtubs for crusty crabs.
The tide slap lapping on the beach,
cavorting up and down the shore
with sounds of gentle laughter
mixing tumbling rocks and broken shells.
Adrift along a fantasy,
stretched out upon the sand;
my mind a merry fishhook
baiting dreams like fishermen.
Above, the sky’s bright powder puff
has rouged my cheeks like shells,
spritzed freckles across my nose,
brown spray amid the swells.
Days like these cannot be bought
nor pursued as treasured store;
you stumble on them, mindlessly,
whether rich or whether poor.
A gift to lift your hefty load,
from life’s harsh grind, reprieve;
lay back, let salt sea breezes blow
and feel your stress unwind.

Premium Member I Know

“I Know”
I know there is a happy sky up there;
Far above those mountain peaks
Where only eagles fly.

Where powder puff clouds set their sails
And children dream of magic carpet rides.

Where the sun kisses the morning hues
Spreading love from sea to sea.

Where heaven is found on star lit nights
And trails of star dust paint the sky.

I know there is a happy sky up there
As it oversees the grief below.

If there is a God
I’m sure he’s abiding there.

Giver of love,
Host of peace.

I know there is a happy sky up there.
I just know.

Premium Member Scents of Pleasure Bestowment

Blessed with scent-lavished fulfillment
I thank God for sense of smell’s* endowment
allowing my nose to optimize daily goodness merriment
while feasting on fragrances wafting pleasurable bestowment…

Morning greets with awesome “floral blossom” spray freshness moment
Oh, my special child’s “tangerine” shampoo offers refreshment
as his “powder puff” baby cologne subdues his excitement
after favorite “bubble gum” toothpaste’s settlement...

I’m pampered with cooling “pepper mint” body scrub treatment
then “aloe vera” prevails for my preferred organic enjoyment
not forgetting “citrus” in its moisturizing engagement
and my lingering “vanilla” perfume statement...

“Eucalyptus” tops my therapeutic involvement
along “jasmine” aiding toward stress management
never setting aside “coconut” with healing sentiment
soothed by “chamomile” inducing my sleep and prayer commitment.

Philippians 4:18 … an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

Premium Member Dandelion Dreams

Swaths of golden dandelions
tumble wildly over the hillsides
in a waterfall of yellow hues
that sparkle through
dew laden grass, gleaming
with fresh simplicity.

As dandelions sway in the wind
soft murmurings of melodies
resound, rustling and tossing petals
like wild notes playing
over a wind blown breeze.

Delicate powder puff dandelions
round and leafless, airy and white
carelessly blow and fall apart
drifting away, like wandering hearts
wrapped in dandelion dreams.

Premium Member Catching Up

my heart
    races so

my breath
    i cannot catch

how the seconds the hours
    vanish

powder puff dreams
    crumble to dust

scattered
    by a gust of wind

there it was
    life

and now
    it’s nearly gone

Poof!
Disintegrated
Shattered expectations
Should have known
The clues were there
High hopes
All up in smoke
Exploding in thin air
Powder puff dreams

Premium Member Good News Maybe

My principal is one
Of the best four principals
I have ever met, told me she
Saw her budget, and the counselor
For her school (our school if you include me)
Gets a counselor for 4 days next year, not 5.

Which means, if I am the counselor, I would
Have to be in another school one day a week
Next year. Ugh! Some of the schools are pretty
Awful. I’m such a powder puff, I’d be running out
With crying eyes by 8:15 in some of these schools,
And they don’t even start until 9.

My Principal (M.P. for short)
M.P. spoke with the second only to the TOP
The Big Top- the Superintendent himself,
And she said that they need me here
Next year, and it has to be 5 days
A week, because I mean this much
To her and our school.

I am so grateful! And optimistic
because the counselors often
do not know what school
They get until Saturday night at 9
The week before school starts.

Windswept Dreams

Windswept dreams

My windswept dreams

follow satin spider webs,
creating wish spun tapestries,
in patterns of desire threaded
among yawning willows
lazily flowing, shifting colors,
reflecting the cheerfulness
of an early morning sun,
blue skies smiling

Love sent messages,
passionate poetic whispers,
floating on powder puff clouds
softly wafting the winding path
woven of marigold promises
and butterfly tickles, through
oleander hedge mazes
shaped of nature’s beauty,

guiding them to your heart

Windswept Dreams

“Find this day on glistened beams, the love within my windswept dreams"

My windswept dreams follow satin spider webs, creating wish spun tapestries
in patterns of desire threaded among yawning willows lazily flowing, shifting colors,
reflecting the cheerfulness of an early morning sun on blue skies smiling.

Love sent messages, passionate poetic whispers, floating on powder puff clouds
softly seeking the winding path woven of marigold promises and butterfly tickles,
through oleander hedge mazes shaped of nature’s beauty, guiding them to your heart

Promising My Love

Painting a picture of porcupines playing
Pincushions parked in the field
Purple and pink for this playful perception
Plans of their purpose revealed

Painful endeavors of pacified pranksters
Preparing a pie at their place
Pecan or pumpkin, pickle, pineapple
Pieces are smeared on their face

Putting the paint on some powder puff paper
Pleasure in each stroke is plied
Pausing to peer at some porpoises playing
Prancing in pansies they hide

Puzzling problems with pretzels and peanuts
Posturing people to prove
Pistachio perfume in prime presentation
Preaches that peaches will move

Polishing pastels on pre-printed pages
Prized the possessions we seek
Paisley the plumes of a peacocks posterior
Portraits now come take a peek

Pampering pelicans play the piano
Pure as a piccolos prayer
Picking a parcel of plum flavored pudding
Poetic prose fills the air

Pleats in my pants shout in proud proclamation
Puddle my pores that perspire
Poodles on playgrounds prevent prosecution
Plotting my hearts pure desire

Passion precedes every past tense of parting
Piled with a presence so true
Painting a picture while purposely dreaming
Promising my love to you

Keith Vaz and All That Jazz

So farewell Keith Vaz, we don’t really mind
Whether you steered from the front or behind
But the coke was a bit of an epic fail
What’s that, you’re snorting, I didn’t inhale?

So hello Keith Vaz, you’re still knocking about
You can lock up yer closet now yer out
And maybe hang out with Osborne and stuff
Isn’t he a bit of a powder puff?
