~ To the melody of 
      Over the River 
    and through the Woods ~


  Over polluted rivers
    and fire-ravaged woods
  To pay last respects
    to Nature we go

  We see many birds ailing
    and

-the grounds covered in shopping 
bags burns trash in air

bags burning trash air

polluted it seems
the rivers oceans and streams
pollutions man made

on fire can't breathe
so we drink dirty waters
cause that's all that's left

Our Polluted Earth

I pondered what I could write of
As I looked around this world,
For everywhere I looked I saw
Wrong things get done by man.

Big banks…like men… display their greeds,
And polluters still pollute, 
Police brutality still shows 
On streets we all walk on.

And murderers keep taking lives,
Be it women, children, men
And guns appear where guns are not 
Even

What I'M Doing In Polluted Eastern Cape

I
Newtown, South Africa, may inspire some day
Through this time here, I must turn senses away
From adults sending kids to buy "loose smokes"
And even ears from women cussing moms, sex jokes!

For inspiration, I must remember to look up also
Clouds always yield forms, names, games galore
And away from plastics, pollution ... naturally
Trash trucks come each Wednesday;

I wash my hands influential used, toilet water; 
Dirty, filthy, rancid… I confess my messes…
I place my face inside an oven;
And grossly minded InterVision;
I sleep in color tinted glasses;

This city is the reason why cancer exists 
I tend to build buildings too high 
And you burn too much coal,
Thinking every room needs to be warm

My lungs are beginning to feel the toll 
I feel trapped
And you have hidden every key possible 
Believing that I won’t be able to see deceit

Polluted On the Inside

She was polluted on in the inside,
tainted from thoughts of suicide. 
Infectious diseases had arrived, 
only contamination survived. 

Her toxicity had become contagious, 
as her madness became outrageous. 
She wore an illness that wouldn’t heal,
and impurity is all she did feel. 

She felt dirty like a foul water,
she once was the prodigal daughter.

POLLUTED HEART

Thirsty soil parches in scorching summer
Sucks liquid crystal drops of sparkling rain
Stores in deep aquifer pure groundwater
Brought to surface, pure it doesn’t remain
From humans contaminants it obtains.

Lone heart freezes in the dark of winter
Blooms in joy when colors of spring enter
Weaves tapestry of pristine love within
Abused by black mist of lust it welters

My brain has been polluted from the influence of the outside. Thoughts are mixed, like emotions—Diluted over time. 
  In a land far-far away, yet a time not so distant, I remember when I had my own beliefs; driven from conviction. 
  As the clock kept moving forward my mind began to wander.
