Over Polluted Rivers

~ To the melody of 
      Over the River 
    and through the Woods ~


  Over polluted rivers
    and fire-ravaged woods
  To pay last respects
    to Nature we go

  We see many birds ailing
    and chipmunks a-wailing
  Downed power lines
    crackling, you know...

  So, we've canceled our journey
    and now we're returning
  It's already started to snow

  It if gets any deeper
    it'll kill the Spring creatures
  and that'll be the final death-blow

I do wonder in those places that burned so this past summer what this wet winter will do to everything including wildlife. How much will survive. Thanks for sharing this one. Sara
