Plot Thickens Poems | Examples

Premium Member The plot thickens

We know not wherefrom arises our heart’s muse
and to be truthful, there’s no planning involved,
as we pen our words, offering no excuse,
though writing with the hope that all be evolved,
including us as well, a thought that does amuse,
since God is incharge, no problems need be solved,
so back to the start, in sync with beats of heart,
thus doing nothing, we craft a work of art.

A Matter of When

“It’s not a matter of if, but when.”
Dr. Lawrence Hayes in Brad Peyton's movie: San Andreas

San Andreas' carnage sickens
the plot thickens
to higher stakes
than mere earthquakes

relationships split wide-open
wondering when
knowing the past
the end forecast

disease, divorce, death, denial
earth's life trials
how can one cope?
God’s grace brings hope

Streaming into Shabbos,* the pace quickens
as if reading a novel where the plot thickens

   Only an hour left,
so much to do and to shlepp**

How will it all get done
~ Let the adrenaline run ...

   Down goes the sun
All tasks completed one by one

Vega

I come from the planet Vega
In the constellation Megadore
Every one of us eats plant food
There’s not a single carnivore.
To make our food taste better
And here the plot thickens
We use artificial flavouring
To make it taste like chicken.
Sometime for variety we even
Make it taste like fresh fish
Or even beef, ham or pork to
Add some variety to our dish.
I come from the planet Vega
Where our diet is complete
But some of us just can’t resist
The tempting taste of meat.
We only eat plants on Vega
Not like your awful carnivore
But we need to enhance flavour
Because plants food’s such a bore

“Life pulse renews, radiating bliss hues ~
Bliss elixir sublime, becomes heart’s muse”
            ~ quote by poet

Mirroring guru, our third eye glistens,
wooing the head ovoid to come along
and with heart joining in, the plot thickens,
leaving us lost in trance, as bliss beats gong.

Enlivened spine holds erect magnetism,
that suffuses form with bliss mists sublime,
leaving no chasm in our mind-body prism,
ensuring our pure soul’s heavenward climb.

Our void centric presence, free from desire,
simply rests in awareness self-aware,
there being no goals for which we aspire,
our emptiness is laid before God bare.

Polarities rotate; we are the flame ~
Give it any name but we’re not the same

Head-heart conspire, the plot thickens,
slowing thought flow, ego quickens,
choosing thus to negate desire,
the plot thickens, head-heart conspire.

Soul’s sheet wiped clean, karma’s erased,
for we have been by bliss mists grazed,
revealing our heart’s lustrous sheen;
karma’s erased, soul’s sheet wiped clean.

Bliss elixir for us alone
becomes boundless joy we do own,
as nodes stir in our soul’s mixer,
for us alone, bliss elixir.

Propelled by bliss, vaporised self
dances in glee all by itself,
recognising that God is this ~
vaporised self, propelled by bliss.

Two Years Later

The words on the page resonated deeply
The plot was relatable, as were the characters
She empathsized
First true loves, still holding love
Even though, present day
Found them each in different life stories

As she turns the page, the scene resembles a chapter in her own life story
Several years into adulthood
Roots and relationships established
Both seemed comfortably numb
No one could have predicted, nor could have expected
A cordial reaching out would draw them close

The plot thickens
Adventures unfold, yet complications arise
Uncertainty begets both doubt and disillusionment
She can totally relate
Two years have gone by
They have both moved on

'Feelings aren't facts', she reminded herself
The words seemed so simple, yet, their meaning felt complex
How is it those familiar, intuitive ponderings still pull and tug?
Those dealt-with, treasured, tucked away thoughts and emotions resound and resurface?

She knew it was too late
There was no going back
Perhaps it's just a reminder of what's healed
But connections don't just ... disappear
She closed her eyes and the book
And placed it gently on her lap

Premium Member Death Comes A-Calling

No vertigo bout,
our life force sucked out;
we began to fall,
with no fear at all.

Maybe ‘twas a test,
by God, in mere jest;
that the die is cast,
each breath is our last.

As the plot thickens,
love’s bliss beats quicken,
there’s nothing to fear,
when God is so near.

Bound by chains of gold,
soul growth’s put on hold.
Earth life plot thickens
as lust thrust quickens.

Prisoner of fear,
heart’s desires hold dear,
we thus trauma bond;
with ego abscond.

In dream world’s movie,
what will be will be,
yet as goalposts shift,
we find soul’s adrift.

Head and heart when linked,
with hues of love inked,
we become the light,
shining within bright.

The whistle of the train, threats coming soon.
Kane’s courage off the track on honeymoon.
The church, filled with chickens.
Kane’s alone - plot thickens.
Outlaw avoided noose, now dies, at noon.

Space flickers revealing what lies behind
Soft white light luminous
In parallel, we’re gripped in bliss throbs bind
Soma flow continuous
Magic of grace fortuitous

The plot thickens as our third eye glistens
Crown and heart join the dance
Pulse of magnetic love beats quickens
Mingled with sublime fragrance
With God, remains no distance

Premium Member Our Pulse Quickens

Our pulse quickens in quietude
Stillness ushers rapture
Childlike wonderment attitude
That mind cannot capture

Invite joy, let bliss burn
Time’s now, to fear upturn
Erasing thought forms stern

The plot thickens
Our pulse quickens

I Am the Seed of My Father-Ncede

I have discovered the undiscoverable
The plot thickens
Who would have thought?
I have emerged from the shadows
The truth goes deeper
Who was the target?
I was, all along

As the rain starts to fall
May my tears be heard
As the thunderstorms starts to bang
May my truth be told
As the wind starts to blow
May my soul be at peace
As the rivers starts to flow
May they pronounce my name
As the ocean starts to move vigorously
May they know my legacy

I have imagined the impossible
The bearing of succession
Who would have known?
I have accepted who I was born to be
The human being, I am
Who is the target then?
I am

The Loyal Figure

It has been a revolution of revelations
Full of whispers
It has been a analysis of analytical
Full of wonders
Wait a minute, wait a minute
The plot thickens
Who could that be

As the sun moves up
In the sky
The universe has opened
Its chambers
As the moon lights up
The darkness
Everybody would know

It has been a moulding of a mystery
Full of amusements
It has been a phrase of perfection
Full of grooming
Wait a second, wait a second
The story just began
Its the name

Fresh new book opens wide and swallows me whole!
As plot thickens, my heart pounds, I catch my breath
Focusing on characters as scenes unfold
Instilling memories of their length and breadth ...
Completing one book a month a fine, firm goal
Consider subjects even outside your depth
Reading encourages to take life in stride—
Back to my book! See you on the other side!
