Planes Poems

Premium MemberPeople Travel Past us in Planes

sky noises alert me to people way up
ten thousand feet, whom I doubt can see my pup
I sit in my forest, writing this little poem
most grateful to God that I have a nice home.

Do my dogs realize that people just flew by?
Neither of them cares to look up into the sky.
Same kind of noise but

"Planes"

Sea planes cross my vision
the bridge gleams
in all its shining golden splendour

laughing at me
cajoling the dream
like I'm on an abstract mission

I paint the canvas in words dripping honey
amber coloured cashmere strokes softly brushing satin skin
over you dappled deep waters and your silvery shadows

recalling
the sensual shape of love
incorporal, velvet

Premium MemberA Pilot of Paper Planes

Always wanted to be a pilot
With a paper plane, I tried it

Guided it into a candle’s flame
So much for my lifelong aim

Premium Memberduring take-off i shouted, 'GODSPEED, JOHN GLENN'

the plane ascended.
i yelled it.

this straw in the wind; fly fly fly
i felt it was a necessary affectation

to ensure a safer flight
or rather a calmer form of passenger

bring out the java
i want to ride the bean

we soar, slope upward
i greet the turbulence

with grit
i summon over a flight-attendant and

offer to help up

Cars Traveling On Infinite Planes

Blackened shells gliding through finite shadows,
their engines burning like the dead's desolate fires.
Wheels devour roads, unraveling beneath them,
miles swallowed, expelled into an endless ether.
Time bleeds on cracks in black asphalt,
slipping between fangs of jagged metal n rust,
coalescing around headlights, flicking in distant ghosts.
Each turn spirals inward, a labyrinth of smoke,
its destination drowned in the Obscurity

Look up to the sky
And question what you see,
For there are lines a plenty,

Weathervanes and Paper Planes

All the people we meet in life
are like paper planes
who travel into our lives
atleast only once
at some point in our lives
maybe in our childhood years
and then take flight
onto greater altitudes
up in the air
believing they may
never make a return
Now we realize
the world around us
are like weather vanes
those same people
we thought we may
never see again
are returning to

Paper Planes

A restaurant full of families
And I sit there with mine
A broken one, where none of our souls are combined
Three of us seated and three phones on the table
Waiting for one of us to pick it up and pretend they're stable
Hotel bill in my hands have turned into pretty aeroplanes
But little do they know
My planes don't

Nigel and Me

Nigel likes to talk about planes
And trains and motorbikes.
He has a few friends
Who like the same.
I say to him: "Why does the piston go up and down?"
He tells me,
But I don't really understand.
I go back to my poetry books
And let my imagination soar.
While Nigel gets on his bike and makes it roar.

Watching the Planes Go By In An Open Field

watching the planes go by in an open field
a glass of cherry apple cider in my left hand
my thoughts are on nothing
life is on hiatus in my mind
i have a week off
it feeling awfully good doing nothing
i am wishing that she was here, but she chose him
now i am joined by her, and her smile

I Lost My Emotional Baggage Switching Planes of Consciousness

I reached a point in life where I was so disillusioned,
in my head there was nothing but chaos and confusion

I had trunkloads of trouble
piled up like rubble,

and suitcases stuffed with so much sorrow,
I couldn't see my way to tomorrow

My emotional baggage was overflowing with bad news
Shall we say I had issues?

My luggage was filled to

Premium MemberMy Paper Air Planes

When I made the first one and suspense-fully sent to flight,
(It was in our class room); entangled in a girl's hair-knot;
She screamed; scratched; principal fed me with lectures might and tight,
Friends treated me, as though in a murder-case I got caught...!

Once, in an hospital where my father was admitted,
My plane crashed betwixt cleaves

Childhood Games and Paper Planes

I watched in awe as he sailed them aloft.
When they crash landed, I never scoffed
nor did I laugh when they hit the ceilings
for that would've hurt the pilot's feelings.

Stacks of paper were a staple at our home.
Not far from my brother's side did I roam.
Just two years older, but I worshipped him
Sometimes a plane's body,
