i remember you by my side
peacefully our souls melding
two hearts in communion
one in harmony with the universe

i still feel you holding my hand
that's how i know
you are still here with me
still part of this synchronicity

A stitch in time saves nine, lest, out of step lose pep, 'ere gains back mislaid track; cruise control, lose neutral.

practice makes perfect
as perfect is relative
subject is practice

Picture Perfect State

It starts with a smile
A bright flash blinds
Captures the moment

Look at the memory
Filter applied to maximise
Shared to friends alike

Waiting for something
To create that feeling
Approval of likeness

Vanity mirrors and fillers
Sunbed replaces sunshine
I need to look fine!

Is it a generational guise?
A picture perfect state
To be accepted today

It starts with a smile
A bright flash blinds
Captures the moment...

Picture Perfect

I've lived to know that every spill
Sets of a chain of unwanted events
That nothing good ever comes of it
That's why it's hard to see the beauty of every set back

Cause I've been wired to see only the worst of things
Wired to believe nothing good comes from anything bad
It's made me live in between lines of perfection
Trying to always get it right on my first try

I've lived being terrified of what if it goes wrong
Instead of working my way to up I always worry
Worry that somewhat if I slip I'm definitely going down
Not learning cause I'm to keen to get it right first time

Cause the world doesn't see beauty in our messes
That's why through art we invented new thoughts
For the future needs more dreamers and optimism
Cause its so magical that it can't seem real

Hey, am I a picture perfect sight,
Why’d you stare?
I’d be dreaming like a firefly,
in the air.
I’ve been living my own life by my terms,
Isn’t it a picture perfect sight to stare,
Why don’t you join me there?

Time has passed to be, where are you?

I have reached the end.
It's still a picture perfect sight to see,
Where are you, you left the journey in the middle,
Where are you, you gave up?
But now it's time to go.

Isn’t it a picture perfect sight, with you by my side
Our lives were always meant to be explored,
it's was a picture perfect sight, with you by my side
Alas, it's my time to go.
So let’s go slow….

Ocean waves,
palms sway,
shells in the sand,
hand and hand

Walks on the beach
solemn peace
sunset falls
time stalls

Frozen in the moment

She wakes up every morning
Makes him breakfast and his coffee
Packs his lunch and folds his laundry

Picture Perfect

Sends him off to work with a kiss upon the cheek
Tells him that she loves him
Even though her heart is weak

Picture Perfect

She puts her makeup on, sure to cover every bruise
Behind the lens, all is well
No one wiser to the abuse

Please understand; I'm not complaining.
I'm not saying there wasn't raining,
Keeping greenery and clean water holes.
We had muddy holes to cool our souls.

The wealthy swam in nice swimming pools.
We went to school and played by the rules.
We kids made the best of what we had, and
Rubber tires on dusty roads made us glad.

I'm saying that there were no lakes;
But there was enough heat to make one bake.
There were no beautiful brooks or ponds;
But we found other ways to have great fun.

In summer, we had to avoid hot feet,
because the dusty grounds inhaled the heat.
The farm crops were cotton, corn, and wheat.
There were soy beans and plenty of hay.

In the barns on 'hay stacks', we would play
hide and seek, jumping from stack to stack.
We kids wasted no time in pout and pain.
We knew that in time, this too would change.

There I stood in tux and tails
  Her lovely face still veiled
Demure in tantalizing gown...
  'Til my daring question sailed
    ~ What is your pronoun?

Taking selfies with my queen like no one is watching but the camera

Everywhere we go is our personal photoshoot

I know I get frustrated with the number of photo’s you want to shoot

But I’m happy you make us into celebrities, like the paparazzi chasing

You’re my star and we just took 50 photos but she still wants another shoot

It is better to take every moment in rather than let a couple memories slip away

So, I bought a Polaroid just the other day

Feels like it was 2009 just the other day

Snapping some candid’s, now its apart of our history

p.s. yesterday is his-tory so let’s do another photoshoot today for her story…

Sitting on her shelf pretty as you please.
That's the kind of doll that everybody sees.
For everyone a smile, they would never guess.
Her picture perfect life is nothing but a mess.
She can never tell you what's wrong inside her head.
She's so full of life, but she wishes she was dead.
As long as she remembers its always been this way.
That thinkings not allowed in her society.
So she plays it off and she. will never tell.
This angel that they think. she is, is living life in hell.

What is a moment?
A fleeting idea?
A memorable emotion?
The idea of a moment,
of which is hard to agree,
constantly escapes me.
That is what I attempt to capture.
Photographs
"Worth a thousand words"
This is my goal,
to encompass the
feelings,
the colors,
the life and the love.
Not planned,
not perfect,
human and real.
A single moment compacted,
into a beautiful masterpiece.
Photographs are my paintings,
people are my muses,
this is my art.
This is my enjoyment,
for this is a way,
to capture a moment for all.
