The soul's deep, emotional, wailing pain;
No one sees that it reigned in with sin.
The dire need for this emotional pain
To wane arises again and again.
The evil sin contained refuses to leave its domain.
When will the stalking of this emotional pain finally end?
Lost in a blizzard's cold snowdrifts,
please know, I appreciate your gifts -
a plethora of desolation,
loneliness and isolation,
a pincushion of every harm,
empty hands and empty arms,
a surplus and a plenitude
of everlasting solitude,
a kaleidoscope of emotional pain
torrents of rainbowless rain,
a carousel of cosmic confusion,
a cornucopia of disillusion.
I'll raise a glass, and just say, "Cheers!"
and return a reservoir of tears.
That night you left,
the rain came with a pelt—
an abyss in my heart,
a curse you placed from the start.
Hurt words, hurt heart, hurt soul—
an emotional toll
I buried deep
in hope our marriage to keep.
And with courage sparked,
I kicked you out in the dark
on a night wild with anger,
for the two of you to tangle.
And yet as soon as I did,
my heart bid
a return—
Has the lesson been learned?
The pelting turned to a cyclone warning,
heaven and earth aligning.
The whole world erupts to send me a message:
going back was not the right passage?
I woke in the morning to a daughter exclaiming,
“The cyclone was pushed back—
no longer on track.”
To a reframing of my life...
Until next time.
Emotional Separation
You and I are locked into a long life covenant with God
My emotions seem to be the only control I got
They say through the ups and downs love grows stronger
The more we learn about each other our hearts grow fonder
Throughout the years that hasn't been the case with us
Helping our love to grow is a topic we constantly discuss
I don't have anymore fight within me to try to win you over
The pain is unbearable when you give me the cold shoulder
I'm tired of taking the blame for your changed emotions
I can only be so strong while maintaining godly devotion
We're strangers when we are supposed to be lovers
My emotional separation is what you will later discover
I have been to the depths of despair
With physical pain
Emotional sorrow
And something more elusive
A sense of standing at the edge
With nothing behind or beyond.
I don’t assume this is anything special
In fact I assume it is a given
For all of us
Who have lived at least
To a certain age.
What I have learned
Which may be of some solace
To those in these depths now
Or there someday soon
Is that we can endure more pain
Than we ever could imagine
And that when our life ends
As it eventually does
That pain is gone
As if it never existed.

Pile Up
self-perceived failure, blame
guilt, disappointment, shame
Pressure
unexpressed, unfulfilled needs
expectations nobody heeds
Perilous Pitch
consider this - you are much bigger
someone small can be the trigger
Pyrotechnics
An explosion, shrapnel sent
wounds the nearby innocent
Peace at Last
great, now you have relief
you now have peace, however brief
Pain
shrapnel cuts deep, like a knife
imbeds itself, there's pain for life
My Pain is invisible to one's naked eyes
With no emotional sensitivity. My Pain
Physical collateral damages awakened me
Consistently from a sound sleep. My Pain
Emotionally pain is overwhelming, racing
thoughts, vulnerability, traumas, and grief often
haunt me. My Pain
Abrasive relationships and familiar faces encounter
me with no emotional sensitivity and no support.
Material losses, lessons gained I don't want no
more pain. My Pain
Emotional experience by those who go through life looking for a cure
Deep emotional suffering experienced by people going through traumatic events
I read an article today
That truly saddened my heart
About abuse of an innocent dog
Whose severe mistreatment by a human was off the chart
This poor broken animal
Who did no-one any harm
Was beaten regularly by a teenage boy
The extent of this abuse caused me such disgust and alarm
This beautiful dog lost an eye
Had an operation on his brain
Vertical stitches from the top of his head to his nose
Disabled for life caused by pure cruelty and extreme pain
This article made me so emotional
Seeing this beautiful creature disfigured and in such a state
At the hands of an depraved evil human
So consumed with cruelty and hate
The buzzards picked my bones apart,
the only thing left was my bleeding heart.
They buried me deep then dug me up ,
I guess I wasn't dead enough.
They buried me again and left me to be,
in pain I was left whilst my heart still bleeds.
I only wanted to be just me,
but the buzzards wouldn't let it be.
They gathered around to pick my bones,
I pleaded with God to take me home.
He scooped me up and made me whole,
and gave me wings as white as snow.
Physical pain
Emotional pain
One affects the body
The other, mind and brain
Pain is painful
Wherever it attacks
It is not gainful
That is a matter of fact
joy
cheerful, happy
dancing, expressing, jumping
exhilaration, revelry, anguish, misery
radiating, inflicting, experiencing
awful, emotional
pain

Maybe some day
My pen will open up to let you in
My thoughts of love
My thoughts of blackness in terrible times
Dreaming of love, that tender touch
The warmth of the hand gliding across my chest
Those soft lips pressed so gently on top of mine
I feel that someone is staring at me
Not from a far
Someone close to me
I feel a beginning
Ever so small it may be
It’s better than one of emotional torment
The pain from that is enormous
Feelings colliding
The warmth of belonging
A beginning
To heal the scars of emotional complaint
And find to do so is a cold long path
To be followed to the mind's dark constraint
And find the source of its malignant wrath
Mistrust is a demon born from a deed
A specter in the soul's dim realm of shade
Filled with memories which often mislead
They ooze in the mind they come to invade
These chosen lesions will try to conceal
And move even deeper trying to hide
From the kindness of love's balm which can heal
When its hand of empathy is the guide
To come with compassion and not with lies
You will melt away pain-filled demon eyes
