Candle glow at midnight
The hatch is locked
A scrambling splutter
As I reach for the key of circles and bolts and lines
But just as before
The circle ends
Four corners behind

And I'm scrambling again for another key
I plead the glow as I–
Well, do I cherish my existence once more?

Foot taps to the humming
Blood rushing under my skin
I'm thrown to

Respite in the Moonshine

Overwhelmed Avalanches of Doubt

So many ways to say one thing
More than one way to turn pawn to king
Too many turns to the grocery store
Which turn shall I take?

Countless words to choose from
From sunrise to sunset
Too many ends to be met
With no end

So many ways to say one thing

How will I say this?

The paralysis of perfection pours 
A whisper

Anywhere But Here

The walls close in,
peeling paint whispering stories
I’ve worn too long.
The air clings heavy,
stale as forgotten dreams,
suffocating, soaked in dust.

The clock ticks louder
than the fractures in my chest,
its hands dragging me
through an endless loop of nowhere.
Even the shadows feel stifling,
their jagged edges curling inward,
hungry to swallow me whole.

I’ve dreamt of escape -
to where the sky consumes

This Woman's Power

Blue rivulets of vein on the inside of her wrist,
That shallow valley between her hip 
And the bottom of her belly,
The inside of her knee 
Where her calf met her thigh,

I remember this girl.

Like the fury of a thousand suns
I remember her.
This woman’s power 
To point a finger, or wave a hand,

Disintegrate a life, 
Or

The Light in His Eyes

When I see him,
I feel weightless, floating—
His smile, his laughter,
A wonder so bright,
It brings endless joy to my heart.

I’m left breathless
Every time he’s near.
I love all of him—
Everything he offers,
And even if he gave nothing,
Still, I would love him the same.
He holds the happiness I seek.

He acts tough,
But I know,
Behind the walls he’s built,
Something great

Lead Me To The Rock

Lead me to the Rock on which I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
Lead me to the place where I’ll find grace
Lead me to the Rock on which I stand

The Lord is my strength and shield 
He is the cornerstone on which we build
He’ll never fall, never fail, 
Lead me to the Rock that’s living

Overwhelmed

On days like today, I need you the most
When it seems that nothing goes right
You're the only one who can cheer me up
Sweet love, my whole day you light

With a fire, a passion, a burning desire
To hold you tight in my arms
To squeeze you, to kiss your waiting lips
In dreams, I'm overwhelmed by your charms

When death had nestled, a lady overwhelmed by sleep

When death had nestled, a lady overwhelmed by sleep,  
Between the chasms of my being, like a butterfly in a cocoon,  
I embraced her to my chest that whispered seraphic tales,  
And I heard the rustle of sharp wings in her dental silence.

She detached from herself, now a shadow that hides,

When overwhelmed with the stains of sin
We are the instrument and the Lord is the bow
With his gentile hands he crafts his design
To play a melody so divine

Cell Prison: a Parasite of Life

My pixel prison, / parasite of my mind, / tyrant of my time. 

Once upon a time- a letter or a call sufficed.
Now, years vanish in a blink of an eye, 

Beeps and buzzes, / rings and memes. 

Panic… no time or space to breathe…, to think, to feel.

Overwhelmed By the Man In the Moon

Here is where dreams entwine,
Beneath the stars' celestial bloom,
There I stand, beneath the sign,
Overwhelmed by the man in the moon.

His countenance serene and bright,
Casting a gentle, silvery hue,
Beckoning me into the night,
To secrets hidden, known by few.

Oh, man in the moon, mystic and wise,
With eyes that hold a million tales,
You paint the canvas of midnight
