One By One

One by one
all your admirers want their fun.
One by one
they approach the rising sun.

One by one
they fly too close to the sun
and get burnt
by the desire that they yearned.

I wanted to be the first
and the last one
but realized that I could never quench your thirst
and that you would never be done.

One By One

In youth
the words were
loaned to me
from others
as their source

Till that day
one refused
to leave
and camped
on my front porch

It said ...
“I have
a lot of friends
no need
to be
alone”

And one
by one
they climbed
my steps
to stay
— and call me home

You left this earth
The same way
You came in
Smiling faces that disappeared
Without warning

They Call Out One By One

They call out, one by one
This one’s got it, then the other

You just keep going and hope the day soon comes
When the whispering of names is done

We try to social distance, a mask we’re given but no cape
Even all the work places are measured out with tape

Work says all be careful where you go and keep safe in your mind
But who can say where the others go when they’re out on their own time

You don’t step foot in anyplace except to get essentials
Then you find who’s positive is the guy in the next cubicle

You tell the others keep your distance and breathe the other way
But then you see them walking the halls without their mask in place

HR sends out messages galore to remind all to be sure
To cover up, be safe, vigilance is very important to everyone and more

You use your emails, messenger and phone as much as you are able
But there’s always those who insist they must walk up to your table

And no matter how careful you are it may not even matter
Cause if your neighbor doesn’t give a hoot then all we’re told is chatter

they come thru

for their treatment
putting on airs
of courage and
determination

they file thru
one by one
the nurses dedicated
bringing cheer
with compassion
sensitive and caring

their smile
a burst
of fresh air

Piper pipe a dirge for me
And for ev'ry soul set free;
Brothers all who heard the call,
One by one each one would fall.

Fall no more good soldiers wed
To this hallowed ground soaked red.
Hear poor mothers wail and weep
For their baby boys who sleep.

Sleep in peace my gentle ones,
Face no more the crash of guns;
Angel wings on hillock knolls
Wrap around your silent souls.

Souls once vibrant. Souls once brave.
Souls arising from the grave;
Brothers all who heard the call,
One by one each one would fall.

One by one
my poetry has to get transferred,
from my IPod, to my laptop
I have to type out every word.

Although, it's a long process
my poetry won't be lost,
it gets posted on the internet
for me, there is no cost.

I'll have to get it backed up
get it put onto many CDs,
but I'll keep on writing
and posting my poetry.

I haven't been able to post any poetry as of late, because it's too costly to have the internet. I try to get to Tim's whenever I can, so I can post. Even that gets expensive.

One by one! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one! (boom, boom, boom)

We’ll kill them! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one!	(boom, boom, boom)
We’ll kill them! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one!	(boom, boom, boom)
We’ll kill them! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one!	(boom, boom, boom)
We’ll kill them! (boom, boom, boom)
One by one!	(boom, boom, boom)

Murderer! (boom, boom, boom)
We kill them.	(boom, boom, boom)
Murderer! (boom, boom, boom)
We kill them.	(boom, boom, boom)
One by one!	(boom, boom, boom)
We’ll kill them! (boom, boom, boom)

The innocent! We’ll kill them.
One by one! We’ll kill them.
The innocent! We’ll kill them.
One by one!

You killed them! So we’ll kill you!
One by one! We’ll kill you!
One by one!

I killed you! So they executed me.
I killed you! So they killed me.
All I ever wanted.	Was to be set free.
But I killed them! So they killed me.

Freedom from death was my reason to live.

Sadness has fallen

Darkness has come

Many young lives now gone.

All families in pain

When will the addictions end.

It steals our loved ones

Taking them to places they have never been

…We lose them...One By One…

Just for a while, each soul wears smiles,
Then in due style, file past end mile.

Yes one by one, each leaves abrupt,
No more to pun, death does disrupt.

Time catches each, in quick charade,
Space cannot reach, end of life fades.

Be aware then, yes see the truth,
You know not when, death is foolproof.

So set your sights, live well each day,
Too soon the light, burst on the way.

As you grow old, your cohort dies,
One by one cold, icy death fries.

So take a look, survey the hills,
Read each fine book, live your own thrills.

Too soon end times, the final gaze,
Loss flickers chimes, depart this maze.

So laugh now more, let fest greet jest,
Spread cheer galore, frolic with zest.

Each a candle, with flicker brief,
Learn to handle, pile cheer not grief.

Death funds journey, we all must make,
Live life truly, then heaven takes!

Inside
Toward the back of the room
Alone in the crowd the child cry's
Who?
Who failed who?

One by one will never do
You've got to bring along your brother
If you wanna pass through

The Bodies Are Piling One By One

While the bodies are piling one by one.
Mother is scared, but calm.
Now look at what they've done.

Father is hurt, but they think they won
Mother makes me hold her palm,
While the bodies are piling one by one.

My family is weak and they are done.
Killing people like a time bomb.
Now look at what they've done.

Everyone is done with the "fun"
Now it's time to rise up with mom,
While the bodies are piling one by one.

Germans shooting with machine guns;
America is here to stop their bomb.
Now look at what they've done.

We are trapped, nowhere to run
My mom tells me to stay calm,
While the bodies are piling one by one.
Now look at what they've done.
