One By One
Just for a while, each soul wears smiles,
Then in due style, file past end mile.
Yes one by one, each leaves abrupt,
No more to pun, death does disrupt.
Time catches each, in quick charade,
Space cannot reach, end of life fades.
Be aware then, yes see the truth,
You know not when, death is foolproof.
So set your sights, live well each day,
Too soon the light, burst on the way.
As you grow old, your cohort dies,
One by one cold, icy death fries.
So take a look, survey the hills,
Read each fine book, live your own thrills.
Too soon end times, the final gaze,
Loss flickers chimes, depart this maze.
So laugh now more, let fest greet jest,
Spread cheer galore, frolic with zest.
Each a candle, with flicker brief,
Learn to handle, pile cheer not grief.
Death funds journey, we all must make,
Live life truly, then heaven takes!
