Still too cold for returning robins this far north of their summer territories. None tried to stay over the winter this year as they sometimes have in previous years. The only birds that sound their presence are crows, cardinals, bluejays, and owls. Otherwise it's a silent winter. / Maurice

For sure, Kim. I saw a number of them sitting on one tree recently directly in front of me, but by the time I aimed my camera, they flew away.

I was just enjoying them with the naked eye, trying not to move lest they fly away.
