Ken lived in Alexandra town..Which you'll find within the
Borders of Vic..A family man who worked the hotmix
Hands moving strong and quick.' Although born as
A Kiwi.' He became an Aussie true' an ex pugalist who had
Challenged for middleweight dominance in the Oceanian
Games' now who'd have knew? He tuaght me how to come
And go' to walk back jabbing straight, to duck and weave
And use all speed.!! A man you'd value as your mate no
Gloves we wore and knuckles cracked we split a lip or two'
I gave him a black eye, he got up and said a good hit from

An honour to have known this gentleman' I tell each one
And all of you.'

Sailing into the horizon
Admiring the Sunset
Distance far from the shores
Refreshing breezes
Bridges and Lighthouses along the way
Whales and Dolphins doing their dazzling maneuvers
Sharks looking to attack
The oceanic feeling like a gateway of opportunity
God’s watery creation
Heaven’s sensation
Rainbows of hope
The drift having a sail
Wonders beyond and deep
Oceans never cease
Tomorrows that continue
Every today a take in
Viewing and observing
Peaceful and calm
Tranquil mind
Writing thoughts that pop in
Calm waves forming relaxed emotions
Inspiration rise
Open air to wise

One night out upon the raging sea,
In a storm so dark the stars did flee,
When in a moment a massive wave,
Sent a ship to a cold, watery grave.
From another deck, a wreath was thrown,
For the brave crew that joined Davey Jones,
Red roses that marked an unknown spot,
A simple act done with profound thought.
Those of the sea spurn long morbid woe,
But give honor to those lost below,
In a sea that offers much can take,
Friend and foe that demands great respect.
Upon the shore, gentle waves roll in,
Bringing a message from those brave men,
True mates resting in that murky den,
“Given the chance, we’d all sail again.”
Not to sail again is thought amiss,
Fear of the oceanic abyss,
And its haunting terror cannot keep,
Men from sailing o’er the briny deep.

Swimming in the ocean
a wincing couple pinches
Little creature on my leg
not more than six or seven inches
I looked again, to my surprise
Hello! - a trilobite!
Two pincers jutting from its head
tiny, fearsome sight
I scolded it: 'You are extinct'
'Now go away and I won't tell
You'll get to live another day.'
He stayed... So, I swatted him
to prehistoric hell ~

I walk at dawn, along a pristine beach,
feeling waves of the ocean touch my feet,
whispering that God is within my reach.
The curved horizon has my soul upbeat,
as space, water and earth entwine to teach
that grace ignites in us, magnetic heat.
My consciousness expands near the ocean,
whence bliss emotion throbs in slow motion.
By night the ocean melds with the vast void,
yet I hear the waves and sense its power
and gentling thought, that mind be not decoyed,
soul bathes in an ethereal shower.
No longer by cravings of ego toyed,
I become the sea that does empower,
core of my being with love, light and bliss,
that I too as monks exult ~ I Am This!

Six Haikus
Turquoise seawater
Swirls, splashes the sea floor
Love through its sands
Diving very deep
Where is your warm,salty hand
Gleam, glorious now
My Pacific amour
May the waves, hasten our ardor
Poseidon, our guide
Sea urchins cheer us
In the darkest sea shadows
Sharks do a circle dance
For we have found
Southern Exposure, our romance
Sunken Sapphire stars
Twin tidal waves
Powerful in our solitude
Sh, just you, just me

I swim deep within the sea,
I swim with dolphins
And it sets me free,
Another world opening up to me,
Amazing colours dazzling me,
From the various and different species,
I see the coral reef and sea anemones
I feel the solitude but I am not alone,
I see a great whale passing me,
There are so many incredible things,
From small crustaceans live by vents of volcanos
That should be crushed by the pressure I believe,
They have no sight for there is no light,
They are an incredible feat of the sea
Surviving in an environment that would kill you and me,
Compare them to a great and gentle whale
So very huge it takes your breathe away,
It shows how the sea can accommodate
Many more things that creation made,
It is a home to everything
This different world, this seeming fantasy
But everything in and about it is real
And to me has the most beautiful appeal.

Oceanic Mistress
You are enticing, you are alluring
You are my mistress
I walk your soft shores today, feeling your calmness and serenity
You gently caress me with the lapping of your warm waves
I am at one with you, and one with nature
But I am wary and respectful of your unbridled power, so easily unleashed
Dare to venture into misguided waters and your hidden, dark and menacing tide, could rip me and drag me beneath.
Suffering Poseidon’s fury, smashed into the dark abyss
This is your world, your domain since time immemorial
Neither conquered or controlled by any force or entity
You give life and nurture existence, but spare no grace when you take them away
It’s Man’s greatest folly thinking we can subdue you
You are the one who has tamed us, and, in the passing of a heartbeat, our co-existence will end forever
Humanity will disappear, yet the all-powerful oceanic mistress and her tidal beauty will remain.

How grand it is when blue sky meets the sea,
may sky and sand and water ever be,
reflected in this topsy-turvy lea.
Oh, let the stars fall down, and over we.
Will you meet me where the foam froths and roils,
where waves pound upon glistening soil,
and seagull's squawk in mismatched harmony;
oh, let the stars fall down, and over we.
Sea tossed, the dross shines upon the strand.
Gemstones are born, where the sky meets the land.
meet me down by the rush of lulling sea;
oh, let the stars fall down, and over we.
Here we will lie for all eternity,
with life and death, and our love of the sea.
