We Are Living Inside Someone Else’s Mind

There are whispers in the circuitry—
A pulse beneath the code,
Where photons imitate belief
And logic bears the load.

Some distant hand composed the stars,
Arrayed them pixel-bright,
While quantum sparks in borrowed jars
Pretend to mimic light.

Stephen King might write of fate,
Of ghosts that never die—
But here the ghost is binary,
And I am just a “why.”

Our choices flicker—on, then off—
A cosmic simulation’s hum,
Where love is written in the math,
And endings never come.

The moon’s a rendered satellite,
The sun—a data flare,
And when you dream, the dreamer dreams
That someone dreamed you here.

So if you sense a watcher’s gaze—
It’s not divine, but near—
For someone typed this universe,
And made you disappear.

Still, I gaze up—at patterned stars—
With awe I can’t compute,
For even if I’m made of code,
The mystery’s absolute.

Premium Member Bots are not Real

bots are not real
friends
a “I” has a soul
bots are not good
buds
you cannot see
their eyes
thus
their highs
and lows
programmed to be
informed
about the kids
whereabouts
and find
what lurks inside
stay out
of the light
with
a shadowy din
a bot
not unlike
a ouija board
could be unobviously
a familiar
spirit, a lesser god,
a demon
hidden within
tin
AI, artificially
intelligent
put your money
on the other guy
the way
truth
life
The Creator
I am not a bot
you are not a bot
you’re of a special lot
one not made
by human hands
but held
in high regard
saved
by a sacrifice
a bot’s
headed for
the junk pile
and his spirit
for eternal damnation
depend not
on the oil can
if
the mouth moves
you
might fall
for
its deception

I'm Not Real

She wasn't real,
or, at least didn't feel
an extension of the people around
she herself was lost among the found
her life was a blessing
and too, a curse
She loved it and hated it
emotions reversed
when in the low, she craved that pain
those feelings of self disdain
the overwhelming hate, coated in rage
the relentless game she was made to play

but when high
she could fly
an all-consuming ocean of emotion
the tides either high
or the water drained,
the pool barren
or a tsunami and rain
It was a downpour she could not escape
Either flood or drought
the danger swam in the sand and the sea
but always present, undeniably
She had no escape, no way out but the extreme
and so she would suffer
indefinitely
until the end
when peace would descend
she was stuck in this life
her stupid self not a friend

Not Real

I, as paper man
in paper town,
grey, saw
a cardboard cut-out
of a mirror,
the reflection
was a busy world
it didn't look real,
those colours
and restaurants

Premium Member Dreams Are Not Real

We were baseball and hot dogs, peanut butter and jelly,
sharing moments that lasted until the end of my dream.
But upon waking, there's an ache deep within my belly.
Dreams are not real, although that's the way they seem.

Monique,
I am captured
by your mystique~
I am raptured
into the ether;
the essence
of your presence,
and lost in the mirage;
the Fata Morgana
of enchanted illusion.

Church Clothes

Church clothes
You go to church
Wearing your church clothes.
Hiding who you really are.
Hiding behind your
Faith and Bible.
If only your friends
Could see the truth.
Your not white as snow.
Your hands aren't clean.
They are dirty like
The games you play.
Your a snake hiding
In your form.
Ready to attack
Any moment now.
A spider spreading lies
Just like a spider web.
I might be a black sheep
But I don't hide behind my bible.
I don't hide behind my faith.
Making every one think
Im an innocent sheep
Who can do no harm.
While you ripped my heart out
Of my chest.
And left me to bleed
On the concrete.
While I watched the one
Who was opposed be there
Walk away.
Leaving me to die on my own.
Telling everyone in at fault,
To make yourself feel better.
I saw the snake you really were,
When I looked in your eyes.
You can throw my name
In the dirt.
Kick me while I'm down.
But I will always rise
And burn like the phoenix
I become.
In the dirt you kick me down in.

Love Isnt Real

You think you found the one
It isn’t the first time either
You trust them completely
You tell them everything
you would tell the one
you thought you would
spend your life with

Next thing you know
everything goes to hell
in a hand basket
Once again love slips
through your fingers
It turns out to be
all a lie once again

When will you ever learn
maybe the one isn’t out there
Maybe your meant to be alone
Love isn’t even real
All it is heartache
One big lie in life

Dissociation

I’m on autopilot.
Surrounded by an unfamiliar climate.
I’m on the outside looking in.
Looking down at blurry skin.
It’s possible I could be dead.
I'm Just a small person in my head.

Im Not Real

I’m not real,
Of course I think,
Of course I feel,
But something’s missing,
A vital part of me,
It keeps me faceless,
just part of the scenery,
A stage prop,
For everyone else’s life,
All my hopes,
all my strife,
For another’s sake,
Authentics, I’ll call them,
The world, theirs to take,
They look past,
And they look through , me,
Their own kind,
They wish to see,
I serve a purpose,
Their reality I help make,
As for mine,
Empty and fake

JEV

Not Real

I'm meant as her humility stone
where others see my fault
And all who come to wish me well
know I'm the one she's delt

Where all the pain I've known for her
is why I can't go on
As all the hate she's shown to me
has meant I'm left to con

When only she can say she loves;
for my heart has no end
That only she could say there's love
when I am meant to lend

And only hope she goes away
can quench my heart to leave
When only time will end my life
she's loved for both our fiev

For all the passion I was lost
when all she did was kill
To all the facts she never cared
who I felt she was real

Premium Member He's Not Real

He's not real, that's how some people see me
Everyone's entitled to their opinions, they're free
Perhaps I don't seem real
But I just write what I feel
Not asking for 100% approval, just 103

This Is Not Real Life

Well, here I am
On the wrong edge of paradise
Waiting to see
How my world falls apart!

Is this a dream?
How could this be real life? I’m
Spiralling out of this plain of existence!

If this is real life, why am I just a thought
In someone else’s reality I
Think about my life and I can’t distinguish
If i’m real, or if this is some hellscape or dream.

This is not real life
I know now that it’s true
And I am stuck in here without escape

What, oh what can I do?
To be human like you
Instead of this empty shell I inhabit

A World That's Not Real

can I turn off my computer

shut down my phone

turn off the lights

and open the blinds?

No

Because I look outside
and I see everyone pass by

Looking at their phones
Smiling at a text
Ending a phone call
Playing a game as they wait for a bus

And I think to myself

I wonder if there’s a message
Waiting for me
But I missed it when I turned off my phone

I wonder if
Someone is trying to call me
I wonder if you miss me yet
and reached out to say hello

I wonder if I jumped the gun

Maybe the break from that world
The one that strains my eyes
Till I can’t see without
Five hundred dollar glasses

The one that numbs my brain
and I can’t write without
Missing that red line to help me
Spell the words I want to speak

It was all too soon
But will it ever not be?

I look out my window
and I see the world
For what it’s become

I see how people have changed

How they depend on a device
So small
So delicate

So important

I close the blinds
I go back to where
I put it away

I turn on my computer
and wait for my phone to
Let me in

But nothing is there
No one is there

They are all too busy
In a world that’s not
Real

Ugly Is Not Real

" UGLY " Nasty little critter that someone just "MADE" up!! " BEAUTY " Comes from within, sometimes " DEEP" within the SOULS of the PETALS only crumbles when "UGLY" is whispered in the wind and eyes rest themselves upon the "BEAUTY" of the souls, "NOT" the "SKIN!!" -KLM
