Seagulls

The dusky eve in country meads
In rainy weather rainy day
All trees were standing stony still
While kids in street with boats they play

The water smiled and flowed in lake
And smiled all time the mirthful gulls
As silent as a painted scene
To throbbing heart to itself pulls

In watery fields they stood like saints
As in a ritual in a pray
So far so far I stood in awe
A single word I cannot say
Thousands of Questions in my mind
Hide and seek as if they play

Seagulls are mad in natures love
As mad as any one can be
The weeds' the lake, the ancient wood
Surpassed the every scene in glee
Oh nature such angels of mirth!
You cant and cant in all world see

The smiling blooms all smiled at them
While leaves composed a beauty tune
The gushing water gushed in mirth
With icy flakes with sleety tune

In sullen morns in mournful eves
When sadness sends her gloomy rays
They sooth me with their beauty sight
Forever in my heart they stay

In greenish vale on watery lake
No worldly painter paint such scene
In darkish nights of waning moon
They shine with an unearthly sheen

Premium Member If Only I Could Be

If only I could be
What it is
You want me to be
Would your love
Shine down
Upon me

If only I could be
What it is
I cannot be
Your love
Will remain
That mystery
For me

If only I could be
More than a donor
Let natures love
Branch and blossom
That canvas
That impossible painting
Will remain
Blank

If only I could be
Able
To change
Times circumstance
Would our paths
Have crossed
To set a new fork
Upon that table

If only I could be
But
Surely not
For thee
So these words
Will set that
Unrequited love
And me
Free

Summer Cooking

I sit at my table in the sun

Absorbing all natures love

Salad in bowl green and clean

Olives, cucumber, tomatoes, and feta cheese

A nice amount of iceberg lettuce

With a mixture of radishes and rocket

The BBQ going for those who want it

Some wonderful scented garlic bread

That's just come out the oven so are nice and fresh.

I got another sitting too one side with the freshest fruit

Succulent to the eyes

Melon, nectarines and grapes

But then I spy

Strawberries and kiwi fruit

I love all of this kind of salad and fruit

And the smell of freshly baked bread

The smell reverberating in my head

Summertime days sipping orange juice in the sun

Laughing g with your family and and friends who have come

To savour the flavours of good food

And to see a wonderful garden in full bloom

Yes! I love these days.

Lost the Warmth of the Sun - Contest

Octobers Kiss

The summer that had past I wanted it to stay.

-----------------------------------------------------

I see a man with a heart that has broken
His yesterday's forsaken him, left no word spoken

Looking back over his shoulder to what it had been
Afraid to face forward, his pain is too keen

Misses the warmth of living with summers love
Now his life is like an October day, needing hat and glove

The cold of winter has pierced through to his soul
Bleeding the enamoured love, no longer a whole.

Winter will pass followed by a spring's treasure trove
Chirping birds, natures flower, and unfrequented love

The sun will warm your beliefs no longer need the heat of a fire
Your inner self will combust with natures love you so desire.

Poem chosen Octobers Kiss

Penned 13 September 2015.

Touch Me

I longed to feel touch today
but had no hand to hold
and so I looked to an earthen way
the tenderness it longed to unfold

Down the beach I strolled
my feet upon sweet grains of sand
they reached in and hugged my toes
I found touch today in the land

The spray of the sea
tasted my lips
with a passionate plea
for one more kiss

When moody clouds concealed the light
his rain fell down and kissed my eyes
It ran its length down my hair
and caressed my skin like it cared

Just as I was about to leave
my rendezvous with natures love
the breath of God exhaled the wind
and playfully gave me a shove

I longed to feel touch today
feeling so very alone
that's when the earth made a way
to say in its embrace I am home

Sitting by the fire now
In a cozy gentle warmth
tears fall for I know not how
this loving day began with remorse

Natures Love

Rain oh rain don't go away,
stay with me through all my days.
You cool my soul burning with rage,
and warm my heart with heavens rays.
The essence of life,
a gift so light.
In harmony with nature,
as the trees leaves capture,
my hopes and my dreams,
within the blue rain drops gleam.
The sound you make gives me some release,
from the worlds harsh reality's bringing me peace.
Rain oh rain don't go away,
Stay with me through all my day's.
In your down pour I simply meditate
I can feel it's love as it caresses my face.

The Fruit of Nature's Love

Are you conscious
Of what you eat?
Chemical meat, pesticides, and bones
Are you alone
What is the sacred
Investment in life?
Can we appreciate
The fruit of natures love?

I Am a Potato

i am a potato thats in the ground,
am scared when worms are around,
i want to grow big and also sprout
make you food what its all about,

my friends beside me can not see,
why the grow potato,s just like me,
to be big juicy and also fat,
to be refreshing with no added fat,

in the ground i go as a seed,
with natures love that you give to me,
feeding me with compost to,
making me grow so i feed you,

my stems are up above the ground
so you come and see me around,
not to deep or shallow to,
so no birds steals me from you,

on you table a will soon go,
mashed or boiled i want to know
with mushy pees or just some bread
when you eat me a will please your head,

on the plate a may be fried
being chips and eggs aside,
dipped in sauce or some cream
i want to the potato
the best you seen,,,,,

Listen

The springs sun had kissed them
all, like fragrant feathers one by
one to earth did fall. Th Apple,
the Pear and Cherry, with April
showers will make merry. In
natures hand they will grow, to
the eye a ripening show. And
the orchard come to life, all
about to dance and sing, a hazy
calm shall sweetness bring.
Birdsong, butterflies while the
day, Bluebells, Buttercups ring
and sway. Lush green grass
adorns the ground, all is peace
and quiet found. And in the
evening when the sun sits low,
you can almost hear the orchard
grow, hear the whispers of Flora's
rhapsody and natures love in
harmony.

One Thing Missing

Halls of green pines high, a kissing sun, a poets sky.
Gentle winds caress the skin, colours burst and blend
within. Pinks and blues in sentient sprays, natures love
fills my days. Daisies, buttercups catch the eye, as
birds in song fill the sky. Flora dances, Flora sings,
with her song the colour brings. Sows her seed as she
plays, shows her love in many ways. And lazy sun just
watches on, the grass is lush and dew is gone. And the
dragonfly darts with translucent wings, the busy bee as
pollen clings, sunbeams fall and kiss the skin, and I
soak the joy felt deep within. I stand and listen, nought
to hear, but the opening petals of a dog rose near. This
aura this ambience, holds both heart and soul in a trance.
Spellbound by this wondrous gift, my thoughts aroused
and senses lift. The one thing missing in this paradise, is
your hand.

Golden Corn

Walk the ears of golden corn
This dewy bright angelic dawn
Let the suns rays beat on me
About this heart be revelry

Let the fragrance fill my mind
And natures love to be so kind
The mood that sunbeams bring
This my realm and I'd be king

And I would rule this yellow bed
Peace would flow and love be fed
And you lady would be my Queen
Beating hearts would reign serene

Golden corn, golden hearts
The moon calls, sun departs
All about now gently sleeps
Ears of corn our secret keeps

Poets Lines Painters Brush

The dawn mists depart
The sun rises from its velvet cape
Birth is given and life to start
Across the land a dew doth drape

The night world retreats and hides
Darkly shapes sleek to lowly shade
The Owl to sleep in silent glides
And the Badgers night is all but played

The suns warmth and gentle rays
Flowers open and take the dew
That gift of colour on summer days
Bears the calm of splendid view

Seeds and pollen dance the air
Blackbird sings with love in mind
With natures love and endless care
A garden song and peace will find

Hedgerows bloom in multi hue
Blossoms glint and gild the eye
Reds and yellows, pinks and blue
Flood the senses as time floats by

Trees of green, fields of corn
Field mice run the Falcons claw
Speedy stoop and life is torn
Natures pages read in awe

In the wild, life it lives
The poets pen writes its line
The painters brush, the colour gives
Peace be mine as they both entwine

Amongst the Grass

With you there are no unforgettable memories.
Which I could only see.

With mother natures love surrounding us..
We watch as trees blow in the wind with her kiss.

As the birds fly in the sky with her every thought.
We hear the cars swish by with her movement of life,
And with you beside me romance begins to bloom.
