Touch Me

I longed to feel touch today
but had no hand to hold
and so I looked to an earthen way
the tenderness it longed to unfold

Down the beach I strolled
my feet upon sweet grains of sand
they reached in and hugged my toes
I found touch today in the land

The spray of the sea
tasted my lips
with a passionate plea
for one more kiss

When moody clouds concealed the light
his rain fell down and kissed my eyes
It ran its length down my hair
and caressed my skin like it cared

Just as I was about to leave
my rendezvous with natures love
the breath of God exhaled the wind
and playfully gave me a shove

I longed to feel touch today
feeling so very alone
that's when the earth made a way
to say in its embrace I am home

Sitting by the fire now
In a cozy gentle warmth
tears fall for I know not how
this loving day began with remorse

I didn't realize when I wrote my poem yesterday I used your title. It must have stuck in my head without me realizing it. Let me know if you want me to change it, I don't want to plagorize you.

Oh, don't fret over it Rick, that's a non-issue for me. Loved your Touch Me poem by the way.... Wow, how sensual. She's a lucky lady to have a man with a poets soul. Blessings my friend <3

This is such a lovely thought. Put your arms around yourself and you will be hugging a child of God.
