Rising from the desert sand,
I see the fingers of a hand.
They seem to me to ask
for a water glass,
but, of course that is absurd -
I've misunderstood their word -
there is no water here,
that much, to me, is clear.
They simply wave at me, a passerby.
So, I wave at them goodbye,
and swiftly pass them by.
Onion tears fall on deaf ears
Reflex pain and slurring names
And blurry shame
And tainted game
With honey coated tongues
Down acid stained mouths
sometimes i wonder
if i’m sinking to a new low
i see you gone to faraway lands
somewhere in your head
and until you remember to fly home to me
i can’t help but feel it’s nothing but illusion
that i see or hear you at all
meanwhile rotting fruit spoil the basket
and i wonder if this year’s crop will go to waste
if this indeed is as good as it gets

Channel Five calls mayoral candidate Goots a bully.
He is referred to as the AntiChrist on Channel Three
Someone on the air yells “liar, liar, pants on fire.”
This is the best news we find on our 2023 TV.
Channel 9 brings in an alert. with a gasp and a shout.
Stay away from your windows, a shooter is out.
The news anchor of NBC2 is lying on the sidewalk, laid out.
She has probably been shot, is there any doubt?
Hello worldly watchers, welcome to American TV
Where the lies are plenty, and carnage is brutally carefree
Facts don’t mean anything to our anchors any more.
You can purchase alternative facts at the store next door.
The hillbillies in the south only listen to their one station.
They don’t even bother with news when on vacation.
The haughtiest rich ones in the north don’t believe anything at all.
A shooter? No worries. There will be more in the fall.
Besides, it might be a rumor. We like to throw stuff up quick.
buying into rumors, lies, and gossip, we Americans lay it on thick.
Chet Huntley and David Brinkley would have a huge fit.
If they could hear what comes out of the normal TV anchor nitwit.
Does the soul know how hard my heart is suffering?
I wonder because 2020 is the year for them to misread each other
if there was ever a year for a miscommunication, this is it.
Sadness and grief in the form of death
When you believe in the soul?
How can you believe in death?
The soul nurtures the heart as we sleep,
But the heart is determined to retain her anger
masking the sadness of our mother’s death.
She was supposed to be here until she was a hundred and five
like the meanest great aunt I ever had.
Yet she was gone a year after this aunt,
an evil woman who was twenty-one years her senior.
I wonder about this sometimes.
The soul is doing her best to help me get over this.
Twenty-twenty has been a rough year; Christmas is coming.
I am in no way ready. The soul has her work cut out for her now.

I always think people are nice
until they aren’t.
Most are nicer in person than on the phone.
Real meanness comes out in texts or other writing.
If you have a problem with someone
go see them
If there is a pandemic
pick up the phone
If you have an I-phone
face time them
If you do not at least speak to them on the phone.
Never Never Never Never Never put anger into written words.
It comes across as much more hostile and unkind than it was ever meant to be.
If you want harsh feelings
If you strive to miscommunicate
If you adore confrontation
If you want hatred to call you out
If your brain is disengaged
If you do not remember how harsh written words are
If you love to miscommunicate
Text someone
Ever wonder if someone
You're talking to is actively
Paying attention, or simply
Watching your lips move?
Imagine attempting to put things
In perspective for someone impervious
To common sense? Words go into
The right ear and out of the left!
You feel like you've wasted
Your breath. So how do you
Make sure you're being perfectly
Understood word for word?
Repetition is key; repeat yourself
Ad-nauseum. Ask for repetition
Of what you said to confirm
He or she is indeed listening.
Never make assumptions
Ensure that you communicate directly;
Not doing so could lead to
Misunderstanding and conflict.
Look for visual and auditory clues;
The nodding of the head, the telling phrase
"I understand." They're very helpful
In averting miscommunication.

Rabbits at junctions are often akin to moons at traffic lights. A light lunch is preferable to a whisky scone when taking a picnic to a lake. But playlists can play so font argue with a flamed fortress of fig. Tailoring a suit for a nine foot bead and dazzling s crowd with a one millimetre tiara is not a sound judgment for a counting ball. 1 2 3 then. Radio that on a one kilometre hand held microphone. Hahahahaha the skipping rope is jumping in a hula hoop today. Lovely. It is not the way of the feathered cloud to land in a field fuelled upside-down but a gridlocked four dimensional satanic bowler hat can swim many acres in a spotted swimsuit. Good. Underpasses underwater underground undertake uniquely unequal unisons. And a proxy is neither productive nor normal. Statutory static authorisational code bringing wine to a ball room. Fantastic news for the pillar. Geranium gathering giblets. And a pie. Wow. Xxxxx destitution demon demonstrated dogmatic dramas digging. Xxxxxx counter intelligence and no matter. Xxxxx miscommunication Z
I went to the hospital
on Friday night,
I walked into the room
it was quite the sight.
I saw my nephew standing there
with a huge smile on his face,
I walked over to him
held him in a long embrace.
I had all sorts of questions
the baby's full name, how much he weighed,
the baby wasn't born premature
born a week early, my nephew did say.
I was happy to hear that
miscommunication isn't the key,
it's good to ask questions
in this day in age you see.

I was told my great nephew was born premature. I asked his dad (my nephew), and he said the baby was born a week early. Liam was supposed to be born on Mar.4/2016.
