I want to spend my life with you

I want to spend my life with you,
Through times of red, of green and blue.
For the sunset dance, and midnight walks,
For never ending and the deepest talks.

Red days for adventure, a passion for life,
To dance forever, into the sun filled night.
Seeing the sun, rise from your eyes,
To light up horizons, of pastel skies.

Green for peace, for relaxing days,
Where from our home, we do not stray.
The forgetful days with nothing to do,
The peaceful ones I can be with you.

And blues least favourite, but need to be had,
The days of cold, darkness and sad.
As these are the days our love shines through,
You’ll look after me, and I’ll look after you.

You have my heart, as I have yours,
A glance from you, will make mine glow.
Forever isn’t a long enough time,
But atleast I’m yours, and you are mine

Love of the eternal one Part 2nd

Rukmini:
Today, people fight over attention,
Cry over seen-but-not-replied,
Count minutes and measure loyalty through apps.
But love… true love… is not measured in notifications.
It’s measured in how softly you can hold someone,
without squeezing their wings.

We confuse control with care,
And surveillance with intimacy.

But love is like little Krishna playing in your backyard —
He doesn’t bloom under pressure,
He blooms in trust, in space, in freedom.
The more you chase him, the more he hides —
But the moment you sit still, with love and open palms…
He comes running, laughing, straight into your arms.

Rukmini:
So, no my dear…
I was never jealous of Radha.
Because I never saw love as a war to win.
It’s not a trophy, it’s a temple —
Where Radha sings…
And I pray

And Krishna?
He just smiles.
For in that moment,
We both loved him… without wanting to keep him.

Her:
(Tearing apart, hugs Rukmini — epitome of love)

We were just two people who met
and live vows with utmost respect.

The world would keep going
If our lives didn’t align.

But lucky for us
That the universe was kind.

Yes, we met and keep going.
“Til Death Do Us Part.”

Living a life not always easy,
But so full of heart.

Our history is ours that no one can steal.
Our feelings are strong because they are real.

So, those who are prudent don’t always need
To live an “over-the-top” life for all the world to see.

The “Salt of the Earth” are the people who live
true to each other, who compromise, and forgive.

Girl, listen to your mother

He says that he loves you, but he can never say why.
He says he only has eyes for you, but turns and looks every
time another girl walks by.

You think that you love him so much that you can hardly breathe.
Not realizing it is because he has pressed up against your neck, his knee.

He says that he loves you and wants to spend his lifetime with you, the
true love that he has found.
Yet, how many times do you find yourself alone, calling everywhere for
him and he is nowhere around.

You keep trying to pretend that you are happy, but your friends know you
can't be with him, treating you so bad.
How many times has he forgotten special occasions, and you smile at them
saying no problem when they can tell that you're mad.

He keeps saying how much he loves you and he wants to marry you, but
now is not the right time.
Knowing every time he says this, you get a feeling that one day he is
going to walk out and leave you behind.

I know how much you love him, but the question is does he love you?
Cause if he did, then why does he keep treating you the way you allow him to?

Premium MemberThe List

My wife gave me a list,

off I went, shopping --
not my style, a list,
myself a freelance
enthusiast by nature --
Inspiration of the moment!
(already one can tell, that
this would not end well)

Where are the eggs?

There was this street vendor
I passed, selling chickens --
cackling coming from the
backseat of the van, should have
been an immediate give-away. They grew
quickly:

Of course, any fool knows that,
if you have chickens, eventually
you will have eggs…but not if they
are all roasters!

My wife said, we should eat them.

Mathew, Mark, Luke and John
looked up at me,
with the most cherub eyes:

Well, my wife, not nearly
as normal as I, was not the
type to let things settle, once
her taste-buds were defined

I hid the ax in the basement,

behind a glass tank, where my

pet cobra, Cuddles, resides --

knowing the chickens would be safe

till Costco opened the following
morning --

on her new list, eggs again, roasted
chicken

or Ax….

I thought to read
my own palm...took
a 5’ver out of my pocket
to be authentic

spoke out-loud
only listening too
the echo:

“Does she love me,
or does she not?”

my wife had entered the
room, and crept up behind
me: “She loves you!” and
took the 5’ver from the table.

Premium MemberMy Love For You

I don't believe you understand
How much I truly care.
Though I try to show you
Everything in my heart I share.

I do my best to tell you
How I love you intensely,
But there are times you act like
My affection is some mystery.

I mean each and every word
About my love for you I convey.
None of the words that I use
Express any kind of cliché.

Those words are from my heart
And say how I really feel.
How is it that you question
If my love for you is real?

If the words that I say to you
Sound too good to be true,
That's because it really is
Being in love with you.

Two Souls Intertwined

That very first moment, your personality shone bright
I still vividly recall how I felt that night
That big beaming smile that you wear so well
From that moment on, you had me under your spell

I was entranced as I looked into your glorious green eyes
Suddenly overcome with a feeling I didn’t recognise
It rocked me again as we laughed on our first date
I knew right away that I was sharing a moment with my soulmate

Starting as friends helped us build a solid foundation
Our lives now entangled for the entire duration
I love those mornings when I watch you sleep
Such magical moments I’m so fortunate to reap

As you stand before me on our wedding day
Looking so scintillating in every way
Gazing into your eyes, my heart still trembles inside
Because that’s the place where you lovingly reside

Finally, we have become husband and wife
I really want to ensure you live a wonderful life
I promise to care for you until the very end
Then we’ll continue in heaven, my darling friend

Premium MemberWhere We Stand

Where do we Stand?

Losing ourselves
It's not a point
An arrival
A destination
A departure
A beginning
A never ending
An end
a time to mend

In the groundlessness
We’re standing
 Where we stand
Ground shaking,
Earth shattering
You and me til the end.

Its true
Unshakable
Others will not complete us
It's you who I trust
They will not save me
Here I am
Exposing all my wounds
The lost fragments of my bones
Our raw hearts beating still
Share shameful secrets If you will

Drop the mask
And all pretenses
Expose the unprotected
The gilded and the jaded
Risk being rejected
Ridiculed and shamed
But I’m not forever maimed
My arms are here to hold you

We are loved for who we are
We stand where we stand
Ground shaking
Earth shattering
You and me til the end.

The coming alive
before we die
It might take a lifetime
 to discover
It might take a long time
to recover
It is a rare happenstance
That the one
you always longed for
Is the one who ached for you.

Blessed

In a Romantic episode of my life,
A little story let me tell.
I have discerned a blessing!!!
With No forced Chemistry,
Just God's artistry.

Like we've met in the past life.
In a home with no strife.
Just a fine nest, founded in love.
No, never have I believed in Reincarnation theory,
Nor do I know who came about it.
But, the flow left me questioning History.

Perhaps, just a bit
I might want to believe in this theory.
For, in such a parallel world,
Thee came to my life, and left a mark
In an instant I felt the click,
Just the perfect kick.

Exactly what I have been waiting for, it feels.
For, the awakening thee brought.
No forethought, nor thought itself needed,
For, the story line speaks volumes!
Hence, I say
I've discerned a blessing!!!
Which seems to have always been my blessing!!!

Lifelong Friend

When all the leaves fall from the trees,
what does it mean to you and me?
Perhaps it wasn't meant to be
as now we reach the end.

Is there some place we didn't go?
We tried every fork in the road,
and never seemed to find a home.
My dear, what's at the end?

But we're ok. Yeah, certainly
we could have done things differently.
But side by side we took this ride
and so what is to gain,

by dwelling on what could have been,
and looking back time and again
at what we didn't have -
what’s there to gain?

But rather let's just you and I
enjoy what we have left and try
to make the most of it
my lifelong friend.

Because all that matters now is we
are still together, can’t you see.
That’s all that’s ever mattered…
in the end.

Don't Give Up

We wait for what we long for,
we long for what we need.
Impatience and anxiety
give root to errant deed

that grows to yield but heartache,
the fruit that poisons trust,
and so to shadow we recede
as hope descends to dust.

But somehow from the ashes,
the will to try again
can mend the heart and forge the path
in search of that one friend,

who never will betray us,
no never go astray,
but fear still lurks upon the thought
while waiting for that day –

we’ll simply stumble once again,
for we know not who to trust,
so thoughts becomes our enemy
but conquer them we must,

for surely there is someone
whether ‘Shining Knight’ or ‘Bride’.
Then all will have been worth it…
our last hope justified.

I would choose you

Happy Anniversary

I would choose you
By Michelle Morris
22/12/2023

Happy anniversary, my love
Happy anniversary, my precious heart
Happy anniversary, my deepest soul
Happy anniversary, my joy and delight

Oh, I would choose you, my dove
I would choose you over and over again
In every lifetime and timeline created
Our connection will remain ordained

Oh, I would love you, forever and always
I would choose our love story
For every day and hour and minute
We create magic and miracles and glory

Heaven knows and angels cheer
For love so pure and strong is rare
As we walk hand and hand to show
Our commitment is our happiness

The choices made, the sacrifices
Our vows and friendship, our souls entwined
We do our best and support each other
Family bonds and memories timeless

So, Happy anniversary, my love
Happy anniversary, my precious heart
Happy anniversary, my deepest soul
Happy anniversary, my joy and delight

Know that I will still choose you every time
You are my everything, my love divine
Until this lifetime and into the next
I will love you, my star that shines
