The map that leads to you
Started before I was born
The map that leads to you
Was planned by YOU
We were born to know YOU
We were born to know Jesus
Many will call you Lord
But few will know you
Jesus, thank you for the MAP

They built the walls, so tall, so bright,
yet still the wind came rushing through.
They never sought the hidden sight-
the roots beneath they never knew.
People – culture, firm and true,
Organisation – beams that last.
Processes – the paths we view,
Information – the compass cast.
Technology – a bridge that stays,
no tide can wash its span away.
With all five whole, the house will raise,
without them, storms will make it sway.

an appointment
seeming as a
fork in a path
portending
dark or light..
it is a lingering
of time
so it seems
in an unchanging
map of nothing
which all of
these words
express~~

I took the road less traveled
to hear if a falling tree
with no one around
(aside from yours truly)
does make a sound
but lost my way
veered far astray
and for the life of me
couldn't see
the forest for the trees
but if I could
it would feel so good
not a bump on a log nor lump on a stump
as then I'd be out of the woods

Her skin drinks light like rivers take rain,
each dappled edge and sun-struck curve,
a landscape under my hands, soft yet severe,
where desire meets the edge of breath.
Fingers trace the small hollows of her hip,
catching sunlight in each soft valley,
dipping, trembling, as if they might slip
into some dark, endless tenderness.
She is a map of quiet fires,
a fever I can barely hold.
I find her pulse in the hush of thighs,
the places where words lose themselves.
My mouth opens to meet her skin,
each kiss a tender bruise of ache,
pressed and perfect, lush as wine
that fills, that floods, till reason splits.
We break where passion's blinding flares,
colliding in waves of sweet surrender,
so fierce the ache it stings like glass,
we drink of each other, ravenous, undone.
In the silence after, breath upon breath,
her skin still glows with sunlit trace,
and I am carved by the strength of her
in places I never knew could break.

We live not inland, but on the beach,
where splashing waves and sand crabs reach.
So, we style the place we dwell Outland,
where people's ears are filled with sand.
Like English, our cuisine is blandish,
but our languish is Outlandish.

You repeat what you're good at,
and avoid what you're not good at.
A map with only one road drawn on it.
A traveler wouldn't put a map of someone
who hasn't traveled before in his bag.
A blank paper is better.

Nigeria, our homeland
Our heritage, One nation
Numerous ethnic groups, differ people
Different cultures and beliefs
They all practice what they believe in.
Africa, our continent
Our pride, rich culture and history
Different countries, so many languages
Different religion, different understanding
Everyone keeps defending their religion and nation.
The Globe, our world
Universal culture, Unites all
Different continent and colors
Different languages and obligations
Same source of life, but different God
Everyone stands for their race and against their opposition.

Sure as stars shined she stumbled.
Falling.
A fierce lightning rod flickering
wild sparks.
Put the appetite front and center.
Boss map.
Hard hands callused to the bone,
dialed in.
There’s nothing lucky about it.
She fought.

If to l o v e you
must I find
cosmic keys
let wisteria words
unlock the
ethereal gates~
to dream within
the celestial warmth
of your
amorous arms
to taste phrases
fragranced with
crystal amber
lunar drops …
and to breathe
p e a c e
must I swallow
petrichor memories
resting on
poisoned petals
as this love is
a murky mirage
of white
oleander wishes
and I forever dwell
in the aftermath of
what once was written
as
t i m e l e s s romance …
but can the
distance between
twinkling topaz stars
trace the
magnetic map
to your hibiscus heart
where sky spills
no blemished rhymes
and the wind
sings not of scars?
perhaps the moon
and
astral flares
shall sync
with
peridot waves~
to serenade serenity
resting amidst
pensive silence. ..

Ball-Shaped Map
The ball-shaped map of
the world on
my desk has a
nasally voice. Its little brother aside him can
breathe triple fast due to
his triple
fat adenoids.

The past is a lesson, not a prison,
The past is a mentor, not a captor.
The past is a tale, not a jail,
The past is a page, not a cage.
The past is a foundation, not a stagnation,
The past is a phase, not a maze.
The past is a guide, not a slide,
The past is a map, not a trap.
The past is a chapter, not the answer,
The past is a teacher, not a tether.
The past is a story, not a worry,
The past is a friend, not an end.
The past is a history, not your destiny.

No matter how hard you look
It doesn’t take a map
GPS will not help you in any way
The place you are looking for
Well, it is the most special place on Earth
Treasures no one has ever heard of
And creatures never imagined
All you have to do is discard your maps
Just unplug your computer
Do not think or plan your trip
Let your heart tell you where to go
And you will never be led astray

your face is the map of Ireland
she looked over at a Marlboro man of the sixties
ruggedly handsome
he said nothing else
but his smile gave her goosebumps
it was slow and intelligent
she slid her purse two seats down
to get a better look at him
his face was more handsome up close
his eyes were light blue, and dazzled
she knew she could fall in love with this guy
and she did
